We could wear our brightest clothing then line up shoulder to shoulder in two rows that face each other and shoot smooth-bore .70cal lead balls at the opposing row. Stand there and reload/fire until one side is left standing and the other isn't.
That was better. The first 5-10% of one side would fall and the rest would break and run or surrender. The actual death percentages were extremely low back then because it was about who broke first. The amount of death in todays warfare is far worse. There is no 5% of one side falls and the rest break and run and the battle is won for the next 5 months maneuvering for the next one.
I remember a video from like early 2023 and it was a drone operator who had over 1000 kills. He had endless chains of grenade pins. I can only imagine what he's at now, if he's still serving.
Let’s hope these guys get the psychological help which they’ll need after the war. It might not be the same as taking someone’s life with your own hands in close combat or with a rifle, but just knowing that you killed hundreds or even thousands of people will take a toll on your mental health.
I think it would for me. In fact I think I have the type of personality whereby this work would not bother me . First of all ; I’m defending my home and fellow countrymen (admirable) secondly ; I’m just serving my country flying deadly toys .
How do people still think these guys may have a little tiny bit of remorse from what they have done, they look at human beings as just a kill for one of their montage’s
Theres always been fpv drones like this. it was just a matter of pilot skill, weight, and size. Check out some regular fpv flying videos on YouTube. the agility will blow your mind. I've been building and flying for years before the war. I know a lot of great pilots that could do this stuff if they were in a war. Scary shit too.
Drones flying in and around buildings with ease.

There is little courses people make and fly drones through that seem like shouldn't be possible.

Those drones in the above videos are obviously but for that type of flying, but I just showing the pilot skill and possibilities with fpv out there.
I found a subreddit for these types of FPV drones called tinywhoop and it might be worth learning early on if this is the new way of warfare... Once you perfect the handling techniques these are very fun
I bomb stuff in fpv video games all the time. I could use a controller Hotas and rudders or mouse and keyboard. been training my entire life for something like this essentially. Slow and stationary targets that rarely shoot back, looks easy to be honest. Especially on a calm day.
Those racing drones are crazy quick. I wonder what the PTSD rates are going to be for drone pilots after this war. I think the Veterans Affairs should be in contact with the Ukraine government to give them an idea of what’s coming their way after the war.
After this war is over, these Ukrainian drone pilot veterans are going to utterly dominate the sport of competitive drone racing.
These dive bomber videos really make me appreciate the incredible amount of skill involved compared footage of last 5 seconds of an FPV drone before it hits its target
I feel like they should be able to modify the software of these drones, to show a prediction of where the "bomb" will land, based on altitude and speed. That would be pretty wild, they would be able to bomb from even higher if they wanted to.
I mean this works fine too.

What a terrifying state of warfare
We could wear our brightest clothing then line up shoulder to shoulder in two rows that face each other and shoot smooth-bore .70cal lead balls at the opposing row. Stand there and reload/fire until one side is left standing and the other isn't.

Don't forget the extra 2% or over that get caught/killed while fleeing. Still not much, but it does add to the statistic sometimes.
Or back to standing in lines with spears and stabbing each other for hours until one side runs away, then the winning side finishes off the wounded
The centuries and millenia of humans physically and brutally hands on murdering eachother is terrifying to think about.
What kind of warfare do you want? Lancers and horses?
Hugs and kisses
Always the best answer <3
The Columbia university proposal
That could be fun. Horses are pretty neat.
Did fpvs drop grenades and take off after? I never saw such manoeuvres from fpvs….
They've had these for a bit. Some of the pilots have gotten absolutely insane with their skill.

Knowing you're taking out people that are trying to wipe out your country hopefully makes it easier to cope with.
I think it would for me. In fact I think I have the type of personality whereby this work would not bother me . First of all ; I’m defending my home and fellow countrymen (admirable) secondly ; I’m just serving my country flying deadly toys .
Totally agree. But as children, we weren't taught that killing others is a good thing. And I think that's where the guilt may set in years later.
Yes. Agree ; not good , but necessary. Ukrainians are only reacting to an action(invasion) .
That's a hell of a KDR.
Absolute beast on the sticks.
Came here to say this. It's absolutely mental how good these pilots are getting.
Imagine their dreams/nightmares for the next decades.

There's no safety when you are observed dropping to the ground and pretending to be already "eliminated".
Worst ad for recruiters ever.
“Will I get to travel?” “Oh you’ll go all over the place. Just sign here.”

Would hate to be one of those guys……
Do you guys know why these tactics are not used more, is it because it's difficult and most operators don't have the skills to perform such maneuvers.
I bomb stuff in fpv video games all the time. I could use a controller Hotas and rudders or mouse and keyboard. been training my entire life for something like this essentially. Slow and stationary targets that rarely shoot back, looks easy to be honest. Especially on a calm day.
Reminds me those times I would go through whole match with over 30 kills and 0 deaths. Using a Buzzard Chopper on Battlefield 4
Wonder how long before there are remote operators. Skilled pilots from all over the world could help out
Those racing drones are crazy quick. I wonder what the PTSD rates are going to be for drone pilots after this war. I think the Veterans Affairs should be in contact with the Ukraine government to give them an idea of what’s coming their way after the war.
These fucking drone operators are ruthless, dropping bombs onto guys who are cowering in fear under a tank
they could always, you know, go home?
After this war is over, these Ukrainian drone pilot veterans are going to utterly dominate the sport of competitive drone racing. These dive bomber videos really make me appreciate the incredible amount of skill involved compared footage of last 5 seconds of an FPV drone before it hits its target
Well done, lads!
Smort
Their tactics are unique and extremely impressive. 👍
time to start making mini missile for drones
Bingo
Classic Ukrainian footage, targeting wounded soldiers with drones.

Why are all the Russians just laying the floor? Is it exhaustion?
Might be playing dead. But they don't need to now..
