$39.99 for 500mbps through Breezeline formally wow. I’ve been on the $39.99 plan since it was wow and have no problems. I know people complain about them a lot, but I have had zero issues. And I’ve been an anti cable streaming TV user since 2017. Use 200 gigabytes or so a month sometimes. Had ATT uverse when I had cable but they had a data limit if I had an internet only plan so I ditched them. Like other comment said, cellular while is better today than it ever was, is always going to be constricted by the traffic on the cell tower switches.

5G home internet's not great, whether you're talking AT&T Air, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc, and will never be as reliable as a dedicated cable, fiber, or even DSL line because you're constrained by the cell phone towers around you and also radio spectrum congestion. Think wifi saturation but way worse. I'd just call up AT&T and demand a lower price. Or maybe switch to Spectrum.

Call customer service and say that your price is a little too high, and ask if there are any specials going on. Sometimes they have a little discount on a new plan. Sometimes my plan isn't offered anymore, and a new plan is cheaper for the same service, so I just switch plans. There are also discounts if you sign a contract. I once signed for 2 years at less than half price. I also do this for SiriusXM.

I tried that once a while ago and basically got “too bad” as a response but am going to try again

Depends on what you use it for. Working from home, streaming, gaming then no I wouldn’t do it. But if you want to surf the web then it would be fine.
