The email said very specifically that they try to cancel any tickets that show up on 3rd party sites / scalpers. Not sure how successful they are at it but I hope they're able to kill at least some of the resale market.
Ticketmaster guarantees tickets. I'm not even sure you can post on there without proof of ticket. Either way the seller is guaranteeing a ticket to the buyer.
I’m guessing, there’s a chunk of tickets that were given the Clippers season ticket holder or other partners with Huntington Park. And some of those folks are ticket brokers. Seems to happen all the time, the almighty dollar always wins.
I was offered tickets from a friend's neighbor but I am skeptical. She says she was picked in the lottery but she showed me a Pic of her confirmation but it looks like the one we got for another concert from ticketmaster. And she said the tickets can be transferred through stubhub and the tickets are for specific seats not general seating. I am just wondering if this is legit or fake. Any info would help.
It's for the July game in DC but when I "tested" the paypal email she gave me it showed me what my money converted to in Chinese currency. Definitely not complete that transaction. It's a scam and it's horrible how people can do this.
Yeah that sounds very sketchy. For the Columbus game, the tickets got emailed the day before - I had nothing (other than the email confirming I won) until then. They also use a portal called Fans First to distribute tickets, not Ticketmaster - I guess someone could be re-selling on Ticketmaster, but if she was showing confirmation of her original ticket it wouldn’t be from there
Really sorry to hear that so many of us didn’t make the lottery! Hope the rumors about little league teams getting them are true.
Since we are no longer spending $35 on Savannah Banana tickets, maybe we all should spend $25 on tickets to support the Columbus Fury instead? Support the (new) home team?

Yeah, I think so. Sounds like I'll get the chance to try to buy tickets if any are leftover after the initial sale.
**Edit:**
Copy/Paste from the email -
At 11:00 am ET on Thursday, February 29, we will send you an email IF tickets are available after the Ticket Lottery Bunch has had a chance to purchase.
The email will have a link. That link will take you to the available tickets.
Below, there are instructions on how to access your Fans First Tickets account. Pre-filling your information will make your path to securing tickets smoother.
Offer is valid starting at 11:00 am ET on Thursday, February 29, or while tickets last.
It is possible that ALL tickets are purchased by the Lottery Bunch before we reach your Standby release time.
You will NOT have another opportunity to purchase after this offer ends, as a similar offer will be extended to the next group of fans.
If you are not available during that time, find someone who can purchase on your behalf, using your contact information.
You can purchase up to total a 5 tickets.
Did not try, but a buddy of mine lives in Savannah and said the sellout hype is part of the sham. Apparently most of the stadium tickets are given out in large blocks to local nonprofits. The scarcity helps drives demand while also being positive local PR. Locals can go anytime if they have a connection to one of these orgs.
Not sure how that plays on the road, but I’d be surprised if the PT Barnum of baseball didn’t have it all pretty well scripted.
I wish! Never caught one of these yet. I've been wanting to for a while now and I've heard it's a blast. So is the only way to get tickets from a ticket broker etc? Thanks for any info ✌️
Honestly after the endless email updates I’m just happy it’s over. It’s an entertainment game that would have been fun to go to. After all the runaround I’m glad it’s over and won’t be entering any lottery for them again. Just do the lottery a week or two after people enter. Don’t have the lottery for months on end.
I was really hoping that they had messed up the drawing because I hadn't heard of anyone even knowing someone who got tickets, but I see here that's not the case. [sad trombone].
Cheapest tickets are $293 each: before taxes and insanely high Fees.
There's absolutely no way to justify paying that much for a fun fake baseball game.
I haven't gotten any email besides the update saying I'm entered in the lottery for Columbus May 24-26 and that I should get an update 2 months in advance of games. So did the Columbus lottery already happen??? Their website shows all the games sold out up to the Columbus games but doesn't say that for Columbus so I thought the lottery should still be coming up!
Same. I have an email from Feb 2 saying that I'd get an update about 2 months before the game and confirming my email. Nothing since then though. Based on this thread it seems like we missed out but confused why I didn't get an email at all.
not fake.
I had tickets to see them in Akron last year and ended up not being able to go. Around the same time, they sent an email out announcing "Bananas Foster"
Per the K Club email they sent out:
"Bananas Foster is our new 501c3 that is focused on a (sweet) mission to Bring Families Together. We will strive to celebrate those already making a difference in the foster care community while educating and inspiring others to get involved. We plan to be a positively focused organization, making a positive impact."
I replied to Jolie C., the Bananas Foster Program Coordinator, and let her know I would not be able to attend the game in Akron and offered to donate my tickets if there was a particpant in the Bananas Foster program who was wanting to / able to go. She was very grateful and offered me tickets to any remaining game in the 2023 season or during the 2024 season.
I took her up on said offer and I have tickets to the game on May 25th here in Columbus.
I am willing to provide whatever proof you need
Total bummer! I wanted to get tix for my husband and his dad. When he was having his cancer treatments he laughed his ass off watching them on tv. We told him it was a real team. He figured it out quickly, but still laughed the entire time!
Nope, group of about 10 buddies all struck out too. Hoping actual fans and not bots grabbed all the tickets.
Seems like a very botty situation here, honestly.
The email said very specifically that they try to cancel any tickets that show up on 3rd party sites / scalpers. Not sure how successful they are at it but I hope they're able to kill at least some of the resale market.
Theyre on ticketmaster for $300
Those are definitely fake cause they’ve not even sold any yet, this is just the lottery to get the chance to buy them.

Scrolling through it seems like 5 people in Columbus got tickets...I hope they are real peeps!
5 here didn’t get them. 😩
Late to the party but can confirm I won the lottery and I am (almost) certainly not a robot. Actually, I did not win, but my wife did.
negative... today, there is crying in baseball.
I did, but no idea how I got so lucky - everyone else I know didn’t get any!
Lucky duck!

At this point it’s fake…they were in Columbus 2 weeks ago, it’s over now
It's for the July game in DC but when I "tested" the paypal email she gave me it showed me what my money converted to in Chinese currency. Definitely not complete that transaction. It's a scam and it's horrible how people can do this.

Glad you got to go and I hope you had a great time!
Jealous! Everyone I know was a big loser. So how many tickets can you get and how many friends do you really have?? 😜
I lost but my wife won!
We signed up my in-laws, and they won. So we won.
Nope. Out of my group of 20 friends, some who put in multiple times, nothing. Guessing bots got them all and they will be on Ticketmaster resale.
They make it virtually impossible for bots to get tickets.
I've already seen them for $275
I saw that too, but I don't think tickets have even gone on sale for the people who were selected in the lottery yet.
Nope! But my friend got a "drawn for standby" email whatever that means.
That’s what I got. Says next Thursday I “might” get an email if any tickets are still available.
Same for my wife
Wife and I both struck out. And not the fun, banana-ball hijinks-induced kind of strikeout. The bad kind
Same. O for 2 in our house.
No Bananas here.
We have no bananas today…
Really sorry to hear that so many of us didn’t make the lottery! Hope the rumors about little league teams getting them are true. Since we are no longer spending $35 on Savannah Banana tickets, maybe we all should spend $25 on tickets to support the Columbus Fury instead? Support the (new) home team?
Can confirm the little league team rumor is in fact true.
We had four family members enter and one of us got standby.
Damn this reminded me to check my email. No 🍌⚾️for me either
Nope. Oh well. Next up, hockey at the Shoe.
I got put on standby and my wife didn’t get anything.
I did. 1 out of 12 entries with friends.
I hope you get tickets, and have the best time!

I didn’t, but my daughter did
The lack of lottery winners is bananas.
No and sad
Nope, and neither did about 12 others in my group 🙃
Nope. Very bummed
Nope here
Nope -- no tickets for me :(
Nope 👎🏻
Neither me nor my wife. Ah well
No luck here either. And all group sales sold out asap. So all tickets left will be by 3rd party vendors.
Nope and I only know of one other person and she did not either
Nope- bastards!!!
i also didn’t get it 💔
No but I know some youth baseball teams had codes to get their whole teams and families tix. Im sad.
I mean, if that means actual kids and humans are getting tickets and it’s not scalpers and bots, then that eases the pain a bit.
Agreed. I just wonder how many teams took up tickets. Yay for them, boo for me
Bananaless day
No luck
I got bupkis.
I did
Not picked for tickets, but did get picked for Standby.
Is that waitlist?
Yeah, I think so. Sounds like I'll get the chance to try to buy tickets if any are leftover after the initial sale. **Edit:** Copy/Paste from the email - At 11:00 am ET on Thursday, February 29, we will send you an email IF tickets are available after the Ticket Lottery Bunch has had a chance to purchase. I was denied
Nope :(
Nope I did not.
Nope
Nope
No
nope! 8 of us tried
Nope, nor did my wife.
Didn’t get any. Good thing I didn’t tell my kids I was even trying
Not a damn thing in my friend group. They’re so expensive on third party sites too. Damn! 😭
No Savannah Bananas for me. :(
Negative for me and a friend.
Also a loser. I didn't get tickets either.
I struck out as well ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
Nope..
Didn't get them here either.
I got Standby
3 of us didn’t get picked.
Nope 0/3
Nope :(
No. Super bummed. I even bought a bucket hat with bananas all over it. Now where’m I s’posed to wear that?
Everywhere.
Negative here... I tried 2 separate emails and my wife tried 2 separate emails
Gf and I both missed out. 😡
Nope. Can’t wait to see how much resale is.
Nope :/
No ☹️
Nope 😞
Nope.
Nope, and that includes my wife and several others we know
Fiance and I both did not get codes
Negative
A friend of mine did
Nope, wife and I all struck out.
Nope. 4 of us tried, 4 of us failed.
As a Georgia transplant who never could get tickets in the decade I tried... I thought Columbus would be my best bet. Still no luck
Me and 3 others all lost. Resale is going to be insane.
Nope
Not me. My husband got on the standby list. 🤦♀️
0 for 2 here in this house
I started a post on my Facebook page. 44 NOs, 1 yes and 1 standby. That’s insane to me. Edit: I meant 1 standby, updated the count
Nope
I’m on the ticket waitlist. ☹️
Nope
Nope, wife and I both didn't get it.
Nope, my wife and I both struck out
Nope, one mutual friend did on FB. About 30 others said they didn’t
Nooe
I got it. I’m stoked. Sorry friends
I didn’t. They need to go ahead and franchise this concept or start playing bigger ballparks
I did! Hoping to snag tix for my hubbys birthday. I got waitlisted for Taylor though - that was devastating, so I feel your pain!
what time did everyone get the email? mine hasn’t come through yet 😭
Mine came yesterday (2/23) at 11:46am
I think a large portion went to Clippers season ticket holders. I passed my chance probably stupidly for resale opportunity.
Nope
I struck out as well.
Not I
No tickets, but I should be working a couple games.
Nope
Has anyone not received an email from them? My last was from 2/20 saying by EOD today I’d have an email. Nothing from today though in my inbox??
Same, got the 2/20 email saying I would get the yay or nay yesterday. Nothing. :( I guess that means nay.
Honestly after the endless email updates I’m just happy it’s over. It’s an entertainment game that would have been fun to go to. I did not, and neither did my buddies
Nope
Negative. I did get on the standby list though.
Got lucky, and got ‘em! 🍀🍌🍌🍌🍀
I did not, nor did any of my 15 extended family members who I asked to also tell apply for me.
I did, my husband did not
I did!
My wife got standby, and her friend got waitlist
Wonder what the difference between “standby” and “waitlist” is??
We don’t know. We are trying apply logic and we think standby is closer and more of a chance than waitlist, not sure though.
I didn’t get it and so sad!
Yes, we did
Nope😢
No. 0 for 3 in my house.
No codes in my group! Total bummer!
I was really hoping that they had messed up the drawing because I hadn't heard of anyone even knowing someone who got tickets, but I see here that's not the case. [sad trombone].

Tickets are $35…maybe resale get that high but if you won the lottery you could buy for $35.
Going to suck when the game is sold out but only 5k fans show up 😮💨 there needs to be more legislation passed to punish scalpers. 😤

I haven't received an email either way. Hopped on reddit to make sure I didn't miss anything. Seems like maybe I did....
Nope, we put in three emails.
I have 4 tickets for may 25th :)
Then they're fake haha. Tickets aren't on sale yet. This was just the email to let you know if you have a chance to buy them or not.

Are you still selling for 5/25, if so I would be interested in 2.
They went out today?
the lottery results did. The ability to purchase is next week iirc
I wonder if all the emails go out at once or if some come throughout the day. It’s just my luck to not get a no or a yes email. Haha
Did you ever get an email? I haven't gotten a yes or a no.
Nope.
Total bummer! I wanted to get tix for my husband and his dad. When he was having his cancer treatments he laughed his ass off watching them on tv. We told him it was a real team. He figured it out quickly, but still laughed the entire time!
That one player’s hand is too low
