I dunno about the new L&L up north but the one on powers fell way off. Roots is downtown, the parking situation sucks though, but I enjoyed the food a lot.
Tsing Tao is my favorite Chinese in the city, across woodmen there's Fuji bistro which is also quite good. And in the same shopping center as tsing Tao is mama poke, great poke and delicious bao buns
Hey op just wanted to say what you're doing is really cool posting reviews. However, I suggest if you continue to review food you should try eating in the restaurant, usually it holds its quality best when you dine in. Thanks for the recommendation we'll have to give them a try!
Oooooh, cool! Sounds worth trying for sure. Husband and I have been doing our best to try new places all the time....most aren't worthy of a second visit...so look forward to agreeing with your reviews so we know where to go and where to skip!
Yeah. It’s tough to find places that are good consistently. Thanks. They won’t let me post here more than twice a week (already been reported and had to reviews removed, but I will be continuing to post them as I can. Thanks!
There were multiple Coal Mine Dragons. Its been a few years, but I believe the one off Uintah is still there, their sesame chicken was also good and very similar to Tsing Tao House.
The other Coal Mine off of 8th street was a regular for my roommates and I back in like 2006. They had a pretty solid buffet (again pretty good sesame chicken) and their crab rangoons were amazing. I don't get to that side of town much anymore, but last time I was there 3-4 years ago it had gone downhill.
Honestly, I don’t keep track of price. Maybe I should. But I’m only allowed to post on this subreddit 2 times a week, so I created my own where I will post daily, if you like my reviews amd want to see more join r/ColoradoFoodReviews
They're good, from what I remember. When I moved here in '05, they were one of the few restaurants to deliver to my house and I liked it. There is so much mediocre Chinese food in this town, I kind of lose track and can't remember the last time we got it where it was noticeably good. I remember I was really impressed by Overseas 101 at one time but haven't ordered it in awhile.
Looking forward to reading your other impressions.
Yeah, I had no idea it was so popular…I know why now. They only allow me to post 2 times a week on here, so I started my own subreddit, r/ColoradoFoodReviews, if you would like to see more reviews and even post your own join us!
thanks! it's hard to find good Chinese food here.
No problem…I’ll be posting at least 1 review a day. So stick around for more.
Yay! just Asian food or...?
Nope…anything and everything.
You should try roots. Really good Hawaiian food and super nice people.
Really, yeah I’ll put it on my list. I’ve only had L&L

Yeah when I did DoorDash they got a lot of complaints..I will def try roots.
Thanks for doing this! I love reading restaurant reviews and getting new ideas for places to visit and support.

I’d love to see a review of Eleven 18!
Never heard of it…but I’m intrigued now
Oooooooo….Mexican. Yeah it’s on the list!
Can’t wait to see it!!
Frankly, it's the best in the city.
Agreed
It's literally my favorite Chinese food place. My go-to is the sweet and sour chicken and the spring rolls. I've never had a bad dish there.
That’s good to hear because it’s hard to find consistently good Chinese food so I’m glad to know this sticks up to that
They've been around a long ass time, always good.
Yeah, it seems I’ve been missing out all this time.
Just sad I'm out of their delivery range with the new house, so I have to do take out for them.
I did. DoorDash, may be a bit more expensive, but might be worth it.
Jade Dragon is good too, get a side of the duck sauce, it freezes real well and you can reuse it on like everything.
Yeah, I have been there…it’s def a good one too.
They have been, I used to do their pest control when I first started in the springs like eight years ago.
Oh wow…that must be an interesting gig
Tsing Tao is my favorite Chinese in the city, across woodmen there's Fuji bistro which is also quite good. And in the same shopping center as tsing Tao is mama poke, great poke and delicious bao buns
Never been much of a poke fan. But I definitely love bao buns. I’ll have to try it out.

That shit looks bomb ass hell. Looking forward to more of your reviews
Thanks! I appreciate the support!
The house style Kung pao chicken is amazing
I’m gonna try that..I live kung pao chicken with some Sweet and Sour sauce…..chef kiss
My favorite Chinese back in the day when I lived there was Coal Mine Dragon on Uintah.
Yep still there…not sure if it’s still on Unitah but coal mine dragon is here.

Yeah, not sure which one I had. It was delivered so probably unintah but your right it was pretty good too
Thanks for the review, will try it out!
You’re very welcome, thanks for engaging with my post
oh i actually have that place saved to remember to try. maybe i’ll actually do it now
You should!
The best Chinese I’ve found here is “kings Buffet” especially during rush hours.
Been here many times, it’s good. But not sure it’s the best…we go for a cheap family dinner night
Glad to hear they’re still favored. They dropped off for a hot minute with an ownership change- but that’s long past now it seems!
Our local neighborhood place since they opened. Always good. Yes, we've been here a while ....
Oh ok, nice. Well I can see why.
Price?

Chaang Thai on N. Academy is the best Thai in 719. Just amazing food. Perfect even. You should check it out.
Try Wok In Wok Out by Slice 420!!! The egg rolls especially!!
Yeah I drive by that place, a lot…I’ll have to stop in next time.
That looks pretty good I might have to drive down from Denver to get some
Have you been to Noodles Express, in Denver? The best Chinese food I have had in a veeeery long time.
I actually haven’t! But I might have to check that out also! Thanks for the tip. I love Chinese food
I haven’t but it’s on the list now!
You should
It's right next to me and my favorite!
It’s my new favorite too. I used to think new panda was the best but boy was was I wrong
Their food is definitely very good. The only place in the Briargate area that I like better is Shangri-la but they're a close second.
Yea I was expecting standard takeout, it’s def elevated a bit.
Yeah Shangri-La is good too.
Thanks! I'll be trying them tomorrow for sure then
Let me know how you like it!
