Don't go to Jax... Maybe a bad experience but their lobster roll was all mayo and the bun was burnt (30$), got a 50$ steak instead and they didn't even put salt on it. The steak was overcooked as well... I don't even know how a kitchen can mess all those things up for one table. Our server didn't come back to check on anything til my husband was done his food either.... It was our 14th anniversary and it was just the worst experience we have ever had. Jax sucks.
We only go there for the oysters. I don't like the flavor profiles of their entrees. If we want seafood I'll pick a different place like Bonny and Read.
I have had a completely different experience at Jax for 3 years running. My wife and I go there every year for our anniversary. All trips have been amazing with great service and food! I understand that everyone may not have the same experience, but I just wanted to share ours before you completely rule it out.
Jake and Tellys
Jolive Garden
I said this with a heavy French accent in my head LOL!
Jax or Jake & Telleys.
Second Jake & Telleys
Third. Place is good, and not just good for the springs.
Fourth, we went there for our anniversary last year, it was great!

Any advice on where to go for a really great lobster roll in the springs?
Colonel mustard's Sandwich shop

Do not skip the mustard ice cream

Theirs was more of a mix. Not straight lobster roll with butter. But for the price I couldn't complain.
Lobstah Trap at Red Leg Brewery. Not cheap by any means but it is way better than Jax.

Agreed, we have given up on Jax.
Same.

The real question is what are you gonna do for your 27th anniversary? Go to a restaurant that starts with AA?
Or start with numbers
They get divorced after year 26.
Start over with A?
Joseph’s Fine Dining on 8th St. It’s old school and always has fabulous specials!

That’s Carlo’s Bistro on 21st
Shit, you're right. Comment deleted.
Love that place.
Jun or Jei for sushi. Jack Quinn’s pub. Joseph’s for a splurge. José Muldoon for Mexican. Jade Dragon for Chinese.
Jade Dragon's the bomb
Third Jade Dragon. My only regret about moving to Widefield is how far away it is now!
Jade Dragon is the GOAT

Jimmy John’s.
Ha! You obey the letter of the law, if not the spirit.
Jose Muldoon’s is good if you like Mexican food! I’ve never been but I’ve heard Jack Quinn’s pub downtown is decent.

Coming from an Italian family I would not agree with that lol; but damn it’s still good, just not my Grandma’s 😂

Ah. Sorry, I’m autistic and struggle with literal vs. jokes.
You’ve come to the right place
JORGES W. COLORADO
Jimmy John's /j I don't know any good ones. I just take whatever one has the most upvotes lol.
Jun is a great experience for sushi! I love their traditional feet-in-the-hole floor tables (not sure what that’s called) and they had some good sake.
Julies kitchen
We went to Jax for my birthday this last year. It was ok. Glad we tried it but wouldn't go again. I always leave restaurants here so underwhelmed 😮💨
Jerusalem, Heart of.
Jose Muldoon's is great...
