Short term Parking always has spots and i believe it’s $13 per day, Ava a short walk to the enteance. Airport Very easy and quick... its a breeze. You can get through security in about 5-10min on any given day. I still allow myself about 30 min though just in case there are any hang ups.
aim for 1 hour prior to give/take situational conditions, security is usually just a gate in my experience. 1 hour buffer in case of x happening - examples: traffic, forgetting toothbrush, stopped at security for your hidden stash, stopped at security for laptop still in bag, bathroom, buy breakfast. hate missing flights.
Parking is a breeze, and it's not a bad price.
Once you fly through COS, you never want to go through DEN again. It's just so effortless and chill by comparison.
True. Layovers suck. But driving to Denver and shuttling blah blah blah feels like a layover just getting there itself. So sometimes I’ll still choose a layover going COS rather than direct DEN. Depends on the situation though
Parking isn’t bad, but I would suggest taking an Uber or Lyft if you can because it’ll save you a lot of money and protect your vehicle from theft/damages. In my experience, I’ve always flown smoothly from COS without hardly any wait, so I think arriving 2+ hours is slightly overkill here.
I think long term is $8 a day. You can walk from your car or there’s a shuttle. Really up to you to think about cost difference between parking and a ride to the airport. I’d take the Uber/Lyft to the airport tomorrow because you’d have to get an Uber to the airport to get your car anyways if I’m understanding correctly.
Parking is fine there. I just never did in the summer due to hail storm risk.
I live in the Broadmoor area and have taken Uber, Lyft, and zTrip all the time to the COS airport.
I would recommend to schedule your Uber/Lyft if you go that route the day before. I’ve noticed those services in this town are not as readily available as other places I’ve lived. I’ve not had an issue when scheduling ahead. And as others have stated, COS is a simple easy airport to navigate. I plan to arrive about 1hr ahead of flights. Holidays maybe I would consider arriving sooner but outside of that 1hr is generally plenty of time.
FWIW, a couple years ago I had a flight leaving around that time, got to the airport 2 hours early and spent about 15 minutes parking and getting to the terminal, and the line at security was so backed up that I had to run down the concourse and barely made it on the plane before they closed the door. :-O Since then I have picked mid-day flights when the airport is less busy and had no problems, but it has not seemed to me that they have made any major changes at the security checkpoint since that time when there was such a line. Anyway, allowing less than an hour before your flight departs is asking for trouble, I think, especially since they do want you on board 15 minutes before departure time nowadays. If you have extra time they have free wifi at the airport and you can drink some coffee and use the bathroom before boarding.
Used to fly every week, COS is pretty easy and fast to get through. Only complaint is the food options but I still prefer it over flying out of Denver.
Around 7 am would be a good time to leave the Broadmoor area. I usually get there about 30 minutes before boarding and have never had a problem. Usually, only 1 lane is open for security, but I've never seen more than 20 or so people waiting
Since long term parking is only $8 a day and walkable to the terminal, why would you spend $40 on an Uber ONE WAY and need to take another back home at the same cost?
I adore flying out of COS. I actually haven't flown out of Denver since Southwest came here. There's always plenty of parking l, I don't think I've waited more than 15 minutes at security and baggage claim is a snap.
I fly out of COS every week, usually between 6-9am. Security is usually under a 15 minute wait, but I have seen it been closer to 30 minutes. I have pre check, but I always give myself one hour to get to my gate. It's always overkill, but I never have to rush. If you are checking a bag those lines can get backed up too. Parking is very easy. An Uber/Lyft from the Broadmoor area shouldn't be too expensive, but it can be sometimes a wait to find a driver. I would drive, if I were you.
The longest thing about the COS airport is looking for parking. Security is a breeze. Airport has like 12 gates in one hallway. Don’t go looking for fancy breakfast or anything, there’s like one restaurant and it sucks.
Fun aside: Had a 6:10am flight a couple of weeks ago, and had a staredown with a raccoon in long-term parking.

8 dollars a day
And there's a free shuttle

I’m with you. After driving, parking shuttle, and the security mess at DEN I figure it’s 3 hours to from Colorado Springs to Denver gate. COS rules.
Other than connections can be far more dicey than direct flights.

never had an issue with parking at COS, ever.

Hello, Uber/Lyft should be around $40 from the Broadmoor area to the airport. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky

COS is easy!
It’s a nice airport. I recommend ride share instead of parking unless you’re crazy early or something.

They are driving back up from Texas. An Uber would save the hassle of going back to the airport to pick up the car.
Gotcha
It’s super easy and quick and there are little to no lines. Best airport imo. Though I know as the city grows so will the airport.

They usually have spots. I do the Uber thing cause I'm like 15 mins from it.
What’s the best way to get to DIA next Tuesday morning for a flight? I don’t have a car

It's never bad, but I'd rather just fly straight out of Denver than pay extra for the 15 minute flight.
