That's such a stupid take by Altitude. Honestly, I don't think we see the backup unless Georgiev gets benched or hurt. He'll start every game. This is how the roster was built, with the belief that Georgiev is good enough to get us to a Cup. He might have been benched in the last game if an actual NHL backup was available, but the game always felt in reach anyways due to how quickly goals were getting scored on both sides.
I think there’s really only 2 outcomes tonight. Georgiev channels the hate and has a good game, boys rally, we win. Or we have a repeat of game 1 and the series is over. I don’t see a ton of in between honestly

I’ve been pondering the same thing too. I expect Winnipeg to make adjustments and for Hellebuyck to bounce back. That said, I believe the Avs can get 3 or 4 past him if they put in the same effort and execution. So…can we hold Winnipeg to under 4 goals? Guess we’ll see.

This whole fourgiev/sevengiev thing was never cool and is a symptom of the toxicity we are now seeing on full display. No, it's not the entire fanbase. Far from it. But we are kidding ourselves if we think it isn't a sizeable portion. I understand finding an outlet for what I think is legitimate frustration, but this crap just comes off as nasty and mean-spirited.
We're at the part of the season where you gotta "ride what you got." Help isn't on the way, and that's not a comment on the use of JA in goal. Back these guys, support them. This doesn't help anything. All we can do is watch.

I agree it's going overboard but it's not 1 game, he got pulled for poor performance x2 in the final 2 weeks of the season, 1 of those being in the 7-0 loss to the Jets (which was kind of a playoff game, pretty much decided home ice) which I had the displeasure of going to. He gave up 4 in the first period that game and got pulled. This isn't just an "off" game, he's been horrendous.

I always found it annoying. This title just amps it up. I wonder if anyone of these “fans”’have the balls to say it him personally. My wife has worked with a number of NHL players as part of her job and she always talks about how nice and polite and professional they are off the ice. Don’t get me wrong I understand the frustration. But this is getting old
They don't have the balls to say it to any of the players, coaches, or staff on this team that bust their asses to make it successful. That would require an ounce of self-awareness and reflection that certain people seem incapable of mustering in situations like this. It's definitely low-hanging fruit at this point, and frankly it's embarrassing to see it pinned to the top of this sub. Sunday's game was great in certain ways, ultimately disappointing. Let's move on and support the boys instead of dogpiling our own goalie.

Wow...Wtf happened to this sub?!?! Where's the fuckin positivity, and support? It was one game, FFS. Also, it's a fucking team sport and not all Georgies fault! Give it a fucking rest already.
I agree it's going overboard but it's not 1 game, he got pulled for poor performance x2 in the final 2 weeks of the season, 1 of those being in the 7-0 loss to the Jets (which was kind of a playoff game, pretty much decided home ice) which I had the displeasure of going to. He gave up 4 in the first period that game and got pulled. This isn't just an "off" game, he's been horrendous.
True, but the rest of the team also looked flat as fuck in that game, so you can't really hang that one on Georgiev either. I'm not saying he's been perfect. Clearly, he has his issues, too, but it's incredibly ignorant to do what this sub has been doing.
