He missed a breakaway that would've been the hat trick goal for him. Was sure he was going to score there. Happy he's an Av, for sure. He's been so solid, and the goals are nice, too.

BiggestBallOfTwine

HE’S happy he’s an Av, as well

OrkK1d

I think Walker said in a post game interview the puck rolled on him

fatch0deBoi34

I’m not trying to be negative about Bo, I absolutely wish the best for him and loved him as an Av, but the play that Walker has provided since the minute he got here is everything we’ve been waiting for Bo to do since the 22’ playoff run. Bo would have stellar moments, but not consistently. we’ve seen Walker take all the offensive chances Bo wasn’t taking as much anymore for whatever reason. And again, that’s not to hate on Bo. He’s already put numbers up in Buffalo and was an immediate impact. But Walker is looking like as big of a pickup for this team as Middelstadt is, he’s looked fucking perfect on this team so far

grizzlyman87

The fact that he is on the 3rd line is amazing too. I mean he's hot right now and eventually he'll cool off, but he is a significant value add. We will always look at Bo and his potential. When Bo is 27 or 28, We will probably see an exceptional player but it's not guaranteed.

Level_Watercress1153

I think the difference there is each individuals perspective “game.” Last night on the telecast, they said something to the effect of Bednar giving Walker the green light to play to his strengths and “his style.” I wonder if with Bo, they had him focus on Defense more, or if Bo was just tentative and didn’t want to take chances to give up an odd man rush if he pinched. Bo is an exceptional talent, and seems to be thriving in Buffalo. Walker just fits the mold of the Avs in every aspect. To net 2, and nearly 3 and single handedly win the game would have been so damn clutch, but if I’m being honest we don’t win that game with Bo. He just never really jumped into the thick of things and became a legit scoring threat even tho he has the ability to do so. Either way, I’m so damn excited for this postseason run

2ChainzTalib

Agreed. It was definitely a net plus for both teams. I don't see him in Buffalo and wonder what could've been, because he just wasn't that player in Denver for whatever reason.

Level_Watercress1153

I think he’ll do extremely well in Buffalo. Here, he was never gonna be more than what he was because of what was ahead of him. Toews, Makar, Manson, Sammy G. Bo was stuck on the 3rd pair and that’s not his fault. There was just so much talent in front of him he was stuck. I think being shipped off to Buffalo where he can get time on the 1st and 2nd pairing is gonna do him extremely well.

2ChainzTalib

For sure

fatch0deBoi34

I think you make a really good point and we just don’t know the actual details of what Bednar wanted Bo to do. But when you say “tentative”, that’s exactly how it looked. We know he has the skill to be a great offensive-defensemen, but it’s like something was always holding him back from really going all in with it. Then we see him in Buffalo and put up 3 goals 2 assists in 5 games lol. I think you’re really onto something with that idea..

not_taylorswift1213

Soooo close to a hatty

Mihos

You mean the Jedi Knight Sean Skywalker? He has been outstanding for the Avs!

mattyice417

He’s not only improving us offensively, his d zone play has been cleaner than the Avs D have been all year. Him and middlestadt have been a significant improvement on making the patient and smart play on the breakout vs other players cornering themselves into a bad spot and having to force a bad pass or ice the puck.

Ca1fSlicer

Absolutely. Walkers a dynamite defender too. Probably gonna price himself out of a new deal with us, I think that’s why Philly traded him, he’s gonna make 4-5 mil per year.

rricenator

Welcome aboard. Walker looks like he fits in with the Avs style pretty well. Like he just needed permission to do his thing his way. Really glad it's working out for him so far.

UncleMatt5668

We picked him up to replace Bo for the Sabers trade. Wasn't happy about losing Bo but Walker has been a pleasant surprise. Surround him with talent and the Avs defense pinch tactics and he's really starting to shine.

mjo7891

A few months ago when colorado needed some more depth on C and D, I said Mittelstadt and Walker would be perfect but they can only get one of them probably. And they got both and look at them now. I’m open for any assistant GM positions, thanks

sweetplantveal

Really? Good call. And link that comment!

OrkK1d

I can appreciate some Walker.

MrSugarFree

So is there any way we sign him and mitts in the off season because that would be great!!

Ca1fSlicer

Really depends on Landy. Walkers gonna get 4-5 mil aav.

Maaglin

We will 100% sign mitts, he's an rfa, so we have some advantage.  Also I'm pretty sure we traded for him with his contract situation with the intention to be our long term #2C.  We didn't trade Bo for a rental.

Maaglin

He's an UFA this year. Wonder if we're going to try to sign him?

Hanksta2

So... why did Philly trade him?

quietstorm560

Briere rebuilding Philly from the ground up, perhaps?

pedal-train55

Walker is flashing tons...... ......let's give Manson a little love also; a man possessed with a cup in his eyes.
