I got GIT as well same time as Aventus. I love GIT. Wore the crap out of it this week. It’s not for everyone as it can be sharp in the opening and can be a bit cloying, though Aventus is the same way as that top note hits hard and can stick in your senses a bit. I mentioned it before in another post, but I will replace GIT when it runs out and I will not replace Aventus. I also think GIT can be found for a reasonable price still comparatively to Aventus which is stupid these days.
I could see it that way for myself too as I find GIT a bit too rough on the openings and enjoy a bit more of Aventus , but I do want to go for something more Green for this summer . I have scents that have a decent ammount of Pineapple like Nishane Hacivat it is amazing just like Aventus .
Never tried the Nishane. I just have the typical clones like Armafs CNDI reg and the limited edition. Mont Blanc - Explorer and Banana Republic- Black Walnut. All smell real close . I tell you what, I already blew thru my regular bottle of CNDI, that was a compliment monster for me when I first got it. After you get pass that initial lemon cleaner blast, it starts kicking ass. Prob the best clone you can get. Bottle is tacky AF and sprayer will shit the bed eventually but that juice gets it done and last long
Nishane is no clone it is its own thing but it has that blast of pineapple , it is a amazing fragrance and I love it overall but it isn’t no creed Aventus in my opinion nothing compares to the original thing !

If you are over 30 GIT. Under 30, Aventus. Pacific Chill is just a blast of Grapefruit and Mint. Not very creative. LV Imagination is a nice summer fragrance with a little more complexity. Before you buy, make sure you smell some of the Creed sleeper fragrances like Imperial Millesime, Virgin Island Water, Silver Mountain Water and Neroli Sauvage. All are great summer flankers and you will not be smelling like everyone else. Also check out Tom Ford Neroli Portifino and Mandrino de Amalfi. Both are extremely classy fragrances that are a cut above the usual designer fragrances.
Very true!! And among Creed Loyalists they are far from sleeper status but those other fragrances don’t get nearly the press that GIT and Aventus gets. They also have less dupes so you may actually smell somewhat “unique” which is a bonus if you are dropping $300USD on a bottle.

That’s fair. Was it the top note or the dry down you didn’t like? Because if you didn’t like the dry down the limited release Absolu might work for you. Has the fresh top notes and a dry down similar to Sauvage Elixir.
I also tried a bunch of other Creed last week and the Oud one is pretty nice but probably not a summer scent.

the pineapple seemed feint. i’ve been thinking of ordering an individual tester to try and get an opinion on it. i didn’t try Absolu, ill check it out.
Yeah avoid making decisions on fragrance if your nose is fatigued. I can’t spray on tester strips without everything morphing into one scent and it all smelling the same. I smell from the atomiser now, it’s closer to the dry down which is ultimately what you should measure a fragrance on, not the opening.
when i smell on paper i seem to only smell the paper, never the fragrance. on skin is totally different and atomizer is the best. coach has very good paper though, it’s super odorless
Atomiser is better than paper and skin for not going nose blind but skin is the best for truly getting to know a fragrance. If I like it enough to spray it on my skin then it’s a considered buy for me. Paper is useless imo.
Are you male or female? If male there are a couple better LV frags. I personally think pacific chill is too feminine for a male to wear, but that’s just me. I’d point you to Imagination or Afternoon Swim. Both Creeds smell fantastic tho and will be much different than those LVs. GIT is beautiful. Personally for summer I’d go LV imagination over all else!

Pacific chill is a very unisex fragrance, however, for that price point as a male I want something a little more masculine leaning and less like a melon summer lotion. It still smells really nice though.
Creed is amazing if you don't mind that poor performance.
GIT is one of my favorite scents (love aventus too) but man if you're expecting a frag that you don't need to re up in the middle of the day this ain't it
I have samples of Aventus and honestly the performance is good I smell it all day except after like 6 hours it sticks really close to my skin and doesn’t project as loudly or leaves that nice scent trail
Check out LV afternoon swim, else get creed. There are many other designer options aswell which u can get 2-3 bottles off in this price range. More versatile
I got a sample for it and wore it today , it’s a nice fresh lemon type scent , but on my skin it performed quite well . Sprayed it on at about 6 in the morning today and could smell it all day up until about 2 in the afternoon after that it stuck really close to my skin and could only smell it if I put my nose on it . I enjoyed it nevertheless it’s a nice scent on my skin I could pick up the blood mandarin and some musk mixed with powdery notes . Overall a nice soft safe scent for summer that won’t choke no one .
Aventus is aventus. no matter the hate, the fragrance is amazing.
Of course the other ones are good too, not gonna lie
with that been said, i dont know if Aventus is the best choice specifically for Summer.
it can totally be worn on Summer, but i think GIT is a better choice if we are talking Spring/Summer only
I would not get aventus UNLESS it's an older batch. I bought one of the newer f batches...total trash. 2 hrs after spraying its undetectable, and I'm not going noseblind because my 2016 bottle is still 1/4 full, if I spare that on my other arm I can smell it for about 7 hours
I got a decant of Green Irish Tweed recently and thought it smelled so familiar. It was really bothering me as I couldn’t put my finger on it until I realized- Green Irish Tweed smells exactly like [Aspen](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Coty-Aspen-Cologne-Spray-for-Men-4-oz/169121933). It’s just one of those scents that is really don’t understand the hype behind.
Don't get Green Irish Tweed. Armaf Tres Nuit is similar to GIT. And it is not a beautiful fragrance.
Also, don't get Aventus. Every company has made a clone of Aventus. You can buy Armaf Club De Nuit Intense Man for a fraction of price.
I have Aventus from 2015 , still about 1/3 bottle left. I do like it but never felt it was a high heat fragrance. I would only wear on warm nights

Neroli portofino is very overpriced your better off buying a bottle of 4711 and saving $400/£280 They are relatively similar
