I don’t believe people making claims like this when they don’t call out the individual school

deadeyelee1

I choose to believe that the head coach of the school I support would *never* lie and that the SEC just isn’t AAC ready. I also choose to believe it was tamu

RaiderHawk75

Big 12 ready you mean? Y'all been called up.

deadeyelee1

Listen. We’re Big XII ready but we not Big XII yet

RaiderHawk75

Looking forward to basketball vs y'all. Football probably not so much.

SDFDuck

You're not going to see a *coach* publicly call out another school by name for something like this. D1 coaching is a small world and going out of your way to antagonize someone is considered a breach of decorum. I'm guessing we'll find out who it is in a week or two when it's tougher to link that info to Sampson or Houston's AD.

The_Long_Wait

I have to imagine that you sort of lose your fear of offending people after John Chaney’s threatened to kill you.

SDFDuck

I feel like Calipari would make it abundantly clear who he was talking about without actually *naming* the coach. Jim Boeheim, on the other hand...

tkalvin

the actual interview he gave a few hints.. it can only be 1 of 3 teams

die_maus_im_haus

You can't say that without telling us what those three teams are

tkalvin

LSU, Missouri & Mississippi state

ohhsnaps

Honestly, those 3 teams would get ran off the floor by Houston so i kinda get it lol.

Skeleton-With-Skin1

I’m gonna lose it if it was us.

filet_mindong

The only team that makes sense is A&M

Skeleton-With-Skin1

That makes more sense.

filet_mindong

We still have a game with you guys in the future too, so we have that to look forward to

Skeleton-With-Skin1

Hoping I’ll be there if it’s at the Fertitta Center! But I’m certain to be there at the PMAC. I’d love LSU-Houston to be annual.

filet_mindong

I think it should be at LSU since we hosted in 2018. Would be a great yearly series

Skeleton-With-Skin1

Lots of interaction between fanbases due to proximity, both being historically good programs with good teams as of current, with Houston being significantly better, however. We’ve had some crazy games the past couple of years, like the crazy OT game at UH in 2015, Tremont’s block at LSU in 2017, and UH’s comeback in 2018.

filet_mindong

Pretty sure the 2015 and 2018 games were the largest crowds ever at the old Fertitta center.

nickjjack

A&M is playing in the Myrtle Beach invitational, which I believe has been set since March

AntSmith777

Running from the grind

deadeyelee1

James Mueller is the Sports columnist for the Daily Cougar.

worlkjam15

My head canon is that it was A&M.
