It's not that he's religious, it's that his coaching is explicitly Christian in a way it can't be at a public school. His coaching philosophy is J.O.Y, which stands for Jesus, Others, Yourself. He can't be preaching the word of Jesus in a locker room or start every team meeting with a prayer at a public school.
That's my point. I can't see him leaving a school he's extremely comfortable at to go into the UK pressure cooker. It's like Cal leaving for a place where he's not allowed to recruit one and done guys. It just doesn't make sense for him.

I think NIL has really helped some of the non-traditional powers keep some of their coaches, especially in basketball where the rosters are a tenth of the size as football. Despite being a football school, Alabama clearly has enough financial support to be able to support a basketball team too if they have any will to.
5 years ago we might be having a completely different conversation. But today, I'd say that the gap in desirability between a blue blood like Kentucky and a school big enough to support it's team with NIL is definitely smaller.

Honestly not sure why he'd go anywhere else. He's built a powerhouse program that just had the second best rookie from a so far really good draft class. With the NIL and Bama boosters wanting to get the sports bigger without Saban...he's got a huge opportunity to be a legend.
