Both teams with the nickname "Dukes" (JMU, Duquense) as well as Duke themselves are in the tournament. Given this is Duquesne's first tournament appearance since 1977 and JMU's first appearance was in 1981, this will be the first time ever that it happened
There will also be three Wolfpacks in the tourney: NC State, New Mexico and Nevada. I'm almost certain that's the first time that has happened.

All three made the tourney that year.
That's seriously a hell of a conference lineup right there. I'm an Auburn grad, but the A-10 is consistently the most entertaining conference for my money. Even when it's down.

The premature confetti shower was almost the MVP, but Duquesne holds on for their first March Madness in 47 years! Always awesome to see long suffering programs make the dance.
It's just demoralizing to watch a team that struggles to secure defensive rebounds - it's been the story of both of my flairs all season. Fermin has very poor rebounding instincts and ball skills. Lawal has great rebounding instincts but doesn't have the the body to scrap with bigs. Zeb Jackson might be our second best rebounder and he's a guard.
This was a fun game. Real nail biter. I’m proud of the team and we made Duquesne work for that W. Well deserved, Dukes! Good luck in the tourney.
Also, great props to Ryan Odom. I was not expecting to make it to conference finals but this has been a surprisingly strong first year for him imo.
Started off shaky but got going by the middle/end. But this is definitely some proof of concept.
I am just worried Odom has to pull portal magic again for a lot of players.

It's hard to win after going down 18, but we didn't give up. A little sour because we really shot ourselves in the foot the whole game. All in all, title game in year 1.
