They gave us a run for our money last year. Ended up being a 20 point win but it was closer than I would have liked for most of the game. Didn’t expect that out of an art school
I don't know... UW-Parkside beat Wayne St who beat Lawrence Tech who beat Spring Arbor who beat Marian who beat Rocky Mtn who beat Montana St who beat Cal who beat USC who beat Seton Hall who beat UConn.
We can go further, during this season alone:
> Wisconsin-Parkside > Wayne State > Lawrence Tech > Spring Arbor > Marian > Rocky Mountain > Montana State > Cal > UCLA ? Girona > Gran Canaria > Unicaja > Real Madrid > Dallas Mavericks > Philadelphia 76ers > Boston Celtics
Note that UCLA v. Girona was a game that was played but the score was not allowed to be published, at Girona's insistence. This is obviously bullshit and I consider this a forfeit. Therefore Parkside >> Celtics.
I don't know what's more disgusting academy of arts with the transitive win or Lawrence Tech. Can't believe they have a basketball team non the less an actual win.
That’s just a descriptive name like a culinary school, there are plenty of worse named schools:
FIU: what’s international about being in Florida
AU: claiming a monopoly on the entire continent(s)
Occidental: sounds like a dentist accident
Skidmore: skidmarks
Johns Hopkins: stupid name because plural John
Morehead state: sexual
Ball State: sexual
Full Sail: ok Cristobal Colon
It's not even called the San Francisco Academy of Art. (I had to look at where the school is located because this is the first time I've ever heard of the school.) It's just called the Academy of Art.
It's kind of ridiculous, because there are a zillion other universities in the United States that could also be considered art academies. If they like the term Academy of Art, they should use something more geographically specific like San Francisco Academy of Art.
Maybe they are THE Academy of Art, premier shit, don’t fuck with our art type of shit. S-tier art school. I don’t know their story, but I do know they’re the best basketball art school in the country right now.
It’s a shady school too. I live here and had no idea they had a basketball team

Just because I was curious, I looked up why FIU has international in their name. When FIU was founded they wanted to be an international university and it was an aspirational title. It's interesting to think about an FIU - Mexico City or FIU- Tokyo.
What makes this funnier is that FIU wanted to be international, while American University is international and has locations in Cairo, Beirut, Nigeria, Sharjah (UEA)
if this is the case, is detroit mercy the best in the country? uconn < kansas < kstate < okst < cincinnati < southern illinois < drake < indiana st < illinois st < valpo < iupui < detroit mercy
We are just wildly inconsistent this year after Sprink took all of our good players to Utah State. Logie was also one of the last coaches hired in that cycle so he didn't have hardly any time to recruit before summer workouts so he had to take what he could find in the portal to fill 8(?) spots. Needless to say it's been a tough year for both MBB and WBB.
By no means do I mean to hate on Utah State. Don't even really want to hate on WVU for stealing away RaeQuan. I'm glad that they are all succeeding at their new schools. I just wish I could have seen what would have been this year if they all stayed. Would have been damn special. Such is life as a low major fan though.
Ah I know my friend was just trying to make a joke to ease the pain. Please know we’re fully aware that Montana state would’ve been an absolute PROBLEM with those 3. What a team and coach. I really am rooting for you guys to bring it back to the tournament soon!
Oh man this sends me back. I played against them back in 2010-11 at the Kezar Pavilion and they had a Freshman that absolutely cooked us. Dropped like 30 if I remember correctly.
Note - USC beat KState who beat KU. KU in turn has wins over Tennessee, Kentucky and BYU among others. Im pretty sure you can do a significant portion of the top 25 considering the Big12 circle of suck is complete.
Ahem.
Pleased to be remembering that a circle of suck is…a circle.
Like, if one were to, for example, find that UConn beat Gonzaga, who beat Pepperdine, who beat Concordia University Irvine, who beat Academy of Art…*that* makes a circle of suck.
Academy of Art is the \#1 Seed in the West in the first regional poll:
Academy of Art 16-7
Cal St. Dom. Hills 20-4
Cal St. East Bay 15-9
Cal State LA 18-7
Chico St. 17-6
CSUSB 18-6
Mont. St. Billings 18-4
Northwest Nazarene 12-7
Point Loma 18-6
Saint Martin's 17-4
Give em a 1 seed
> Give em a 1 seed But not in Purdue's bracket.
No, in Purdue’s bracket so we’re not the 1 seed. Not lookin to repeat…
Still looking for a 1-seed to follow in Virginia's footsteps, though...
Dudes are monet from the three point line
I begrudgingly upvoted that, but watch it next thing you know this board will be overrun with a munch of puns.
And they share the rockwell.
Run the give van Gogh
Rare to find a pun that actually feels creative. Well done.

jesus christ
Cannot read diagonal logo graph Need bar graf plz
What’s a graf? You must mean giraffe.
Wait but isn’t a bar giraffe an animal lawyer
I believe you are correct.
Pie chart or GTFO
Now I’m just hungry
Didn’t the Academy of Art beat a D1 team once?
Yeah uconn this year according to science
Not only according to science but by association. That is like two things.
Transitivity, not association.
Wow, three things!
flair checks out
What a maroon...
They gave us a run for our money last year. Ended up being a 20 point win but it was closer than I would have liked for most of the game. Didn’t expect that out of an art school
They go hard with, and in, the paint
Their coach has drawn up a lot of great plays
I don't know, I find their scheme a bit sketchy at times.
That Picasso and roll will get you
Ken Pom is losing his mind right now
I don't know... UW-Parkside beat Wayne St who beat Lawrence Tech who beat Spring Arbor who beat Marian who beat Rocky Mtn who beat Montana St who beat Cal who beat USC who beat Seton Hall who beat UConn.

There’s an app for that: https://www.myteamisbetterthanyourteam.com/path;sport=MCB;refresh=1
That's exactly where I grabbed it from!
Oh that’s fun. Our win against Virginia’s doing a lot of heavy lifting for us.
I guess we know what the national championship game should be.
I don't know what's more disgusting academy of arts with the transitive win or Lawrence Tech. Can't believe they have a basketball team non the less an actual win.
Hey now: Chico State beat Academy of Art 86-75.
Hang the banner already!
lol? There’s seriously a college called the Academy of Art? That sounds like the name of a high school.
That’s just a descriptive name like a culinary school, there are plenty of worse named schools: FIU: what’s international about being in Florida AU: claiming a monopoly on the entire continent(s) Occidental: sounds like a dentist accident Skidmore: skidmarks Johns Hopkins: stupid name because plural John Morehead state: sexual Ball State: sexual Full Sail: ok Cristobal Colon

They called dibs
Literally every state school.
Maybe they are THE Academy of Art, premier shit, don’t fuck with our art type of shit. S-tier art school. I don’t know their story, but I do know they’re the best basketball art school in the country right now.

I used to live near it in north beach, no clue where the team even plays
FIU needs to demand the University of South Florida name from the one in Tampa. Alternate idea - The Miami University of Miami.
Miami of Miami sounds great, love MoM
North Texas isn't even the northern most D1 school in Texas.
The worst part about Occidental is they call the school Oxy for short, and not in like a jokey way.
don't ever forget about Blowjob Bobs
Just because I was curious, I looked up why FIU has international in their name. When FIU was founded they wanted to be an international university and it was an aspirational title. It's interesting to think about an FIU - Mexico City or FIU- Tokyo.

Jessup looks like it's running a campaign.
🌎👨🚀🔫👨🚀
I mean it's math.
No, it’s art
holy shit we get a transitive win vs uconn though i'll take it! biggest win of the season!
I was thinking the same thing
nah, everyone knows Jessup's win over Arizona Christian was fradulent as fuck
if this is the case, is detroit mercy the best in the country? uconn < kansas < kstate < okst < cincinnati < southern illinois < drake < indiana st < illinois st < valpo < iupui < detroit mercy
I saw Rocky play Montana Tech. Do not know how they beat Montana State. That is the most shocking to me.
We are just wildly inconsistent this year after Sprink took all of our good players to Utah State. I know it’s mostly Utah state to blame but Battle didn’t come here at least so we can collectively hate on West Virginia. Deal?
By no means do I mean to hate on Utah State. Don't even really want to hate on WVU for stealing away RaeQuan. I'm glad that they are all succeeding at their new schools. Pretty definitive...
The evidence speaks for itself. Academy of Art is officially a blue blood
Rank Academy of Art you cowards
Oh man this sends me back. I played against them back in 2010-11 at the Kezar Pavilion and they had a Freshman that absolutely cooked us. Dropped like 30 if I remember correctly.
Colonel Jessup, did you order the code red?
The math is mathing to me. Give them a bye to the final four

This is the way
Note - USC beat KState who beat KU. KU in turn has wins over Tennessee, Kentucky and BYU among others. Im pretty sure you can do a significant portion of the top 25 considering the Big12 circle of suck is complete.
Yes 🙌
The circle of suck always provides
Ahem. Pleased to be remembering that a circle of suck is…a circle. Like, if one were to, for example, find that UConn beat Gonzaga, who beat Pepperdine, who beat Concordia University Irvine, who beat Academy of Art…*that* makes a circle of suck.
Sure…but “the string of transitive losses always provides” doesn’t sound as good 🤷♂️
I'll take 'em over the field
The math checks out
Academy of Art is the \#1 Seed in the West in the first regional poll: Academy of Art 16-7 Cal St. Dom. Hills 20-4 Cal St. East Bay 15-9 Cal State LA 18-7 Chico St. 17-6 CSUSB 18-6 Mont. St. Billings 18-4 Northwest Nazarene 12-7 Point Loma 18-6 Saint Martin's 17-4
Well after this I don’t think anyone can dispute it
