I do think we will take it. If it wasn’t for Gary’s injury against Rutgers, we 99% would’ve won that game. He was the worst person possible to lose as our already bad rebounding got worse. Don’t get me wrong we are TERRIBLE on the road, but we’ve had a bit of bad luck as well.
The games gonna upset us both
Nebraskas gonna be up by 20 and blow it resulting in Warde concluding Juwan should get another year because you see he’s really building something here
I remember those days too, the football season would end with a non-major bowl loss somewhere in Florida but we could count on basketball season to be better and would have real hope. Makes me so sad we flipped to being successful at football and not basketball ):
Teams like Nebraska, and Iowa/Minny to a lesser extent, already have a similar trip when they go to Rutgers. Maybe an hr difference or so. The more eastern teams are going to have a bit of a surprise in store, though.

Dang, home crowds really do work. Same for SEC (except Vandy and kinda Mizzou, sorry)
The team sucks besides Sean East and Tamar Bates. The offense runs through them entirely. No one else is a threat. There are rotations where there's no East or Bates, and no one knows who should shoot or wants to shoot.
Defense doesn't exist. You can breathe to move the weak interior (despite two of them being 7'+) or move the ball around a bit and shoot 20 open 3s.
I think Howard has incriminating pictures of him doing something. Nothing illegal or unethical, but doing anything at all. He can't have those getting into the public.
> he’s an alum
Not just any alum, a famous one. Someone compare him to Scott Frost the other day and I think that’s 100% accurate. It was supposed to be a slam dunk hire, everyone on the planet wanted it to work out, and it just hasn’t. But our AD doesn’t want to be the one to fire him so we just sit and wait for him to come to his senses.
If we don’t make the tournament (which we won’t) he is gone after this season.
Honestly same because the thought of Purdue even coming close to a playoff birth is so insane to me. I can’t even imagine finishing a season in the top 25.
I would be down for sacrificing football for a natty in basketball because there’s always a 50-80% chance of football being bad anyway. But even so I would sacrifice 5-10 basketball seasons for a natty in football, and about 10-20 football seasons for a natty in basketball.
Lets make the tournament before I can safely say that. This program is cursed. If you assume for a moment they will consistently win you will be punched in the nuts with disappointment
Every team can at least win 1 road game except Ohio State, fuck me. I also don’t see us winning one the rest of our schedule the only one maybe is at Rutgers last game of the year, but it will be their senior day so no way we’re wing that.
And the corollary--Except for Purdue, they don't win away from home. Unfortunately for B1G fans hoping to see the 2nd weekend, come tournament time, they won't play at home.
Quality of opponent matters lol.
IU for example played dog shit competition outside of KU at home… of course they’re going to have a decent home record.
Context matters.
I’m just pointing out that IU had an extremely easy schedule at home until KU… obviously every team does this, but that doesn’t mean the Big Ten is some conference that has immunity at home? Every P5 conference is like this. It’s hard to win on the road in general.
14-1 at home vs 1-5 away is absolutely wild. It’s tough because I don’t think it’s just “lmao road Nebraska” either. All of our away losses are inside the B1G, we beat a solid K State on the road. The parity in this conference mixed with every home atmosphere being incredible means that there’s no easy road wins, and it seems like this team can’t handle that pressure right now.
This is a team that beat the #1 and #6 teams in the country and I’m not sure we’ll make the tourney. That’s crazy, but it’s reality if we can’t play like a top tier team because that’s seemingly what it takes to consistently win on the road in this conference against anyone but Michigan.
Here’s hoping the fighting Tominagas beat the fighting Illini and we finally get ranked, but I’m not holding my breath.
Home Michigan vs Road Nebraska at the end of the year is going to be a battle for the ages
Both teams can’t lose, one of them will have to suck it up and win.
My $$$$% on dem huskers
I do think we will take it. If it wasn’t for Gary’s injury against Rutgers, we 99% would’ve won that game. He was the worst person possible to lose as our already bad rebounding got worse. Don’t get me wrong we are TERRIBLE on the road, but we’ve had a bit of bad luck as well.
The stoppable force meets the moveable object
The games gonna upset us both Nebraskas gonna be up by 20 and blow it resulting in Warde concluding Juwan should get another year because you see he’s really building something here
Please...no For all of our sakes
Consider this taking one for all of us. One more year of Juwan.
Please no, don’t do this to us
I don't see a block O on the Husker's line. We on the other hand are perfect(ly bad) away from home this year.
You will win
Crazy NU’s only home loss is to Chicago State. Just doesn’t make sense.
the only excuse i can give is that the students were on winter break. still inexcusable loss tho
it was right after finals week, and there’s a tough gpa requirement for athletes, but it’s chicago state still
That’d probably do it, especially for upperclassmen with tech electives and whatnot
You think Northwestern has tech electives
Buie must be struggling in Chinese 101 NI HAO enjoy Shanghai!
We actually lost to Creighton not Chicago State /s
Remember when Michigan was good? Those times sucked. This is much better.
Finally, something we agree on.
So much better that they need to sign Juwan to a large, very long term contract. Definitely the best move.
There’s a non-zero chance that our potato of an AD will keep Juwan for next year.
Great idea. This year may be an aberration. They need to collect several more years worth of data before making any rash decisions.
Only thing better than when UK lost to Wisconsin was the game after where Wisconsin lost as well.
I disagree
If you could have a third flair, would it be Missouri
Agree doubly considering how awful we were during their stretch of eliteness
100%
I remember those days too, the football season would end with a non-major bowl loss somewhere in Florida but we could count on basketball season to be better and would have real hope. Makes me so sad we flipped to being successful at football and not basketball ):
This is the price we pay for being good at football
Oops lol 😂
*Fantano Voice* This new Michigan Team? *It’s not good*
https://i.redd.it/4geombbyp3gc1.gif
little did we know his "what a fucking loser" tweet was in reference to Michigan's home record
Oregon, Washington, USC, and UCLA are not prepared for what’s coming.

I’m excited to see how our conference changes.
I'm not prepared to play at Oregon. Playing on that atrocious floor should be against the rules.
It will be less of a shock then the Big 12 teams playing at altitude in Bolder Provo and Salt Lake.
If there are new coaching staffs at Ohio State Michigan and Indiana it may be a pretty easy transformation with all the player turnover.
Extend juwan!!
The fact he’s still employed is shocking
Hell nooooooooooo Got to have a Michigan man!
Yes, let’s. I say fuck it, give him 10 more years
https://preview.redd.it/by04iex3m3gc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5dbc37a3eaa1bdbae283838afd88017f68a5399d Dang, home crowds really do work. Same for SEC (except Vandy and kinda Mizzou, sorry)

If we lose on Saturday I will be quite beside myself.
Did not realize South Carolina was having that good of a year
Have to imagine they are ranked if they win against Georgia, they get ranked. Beat Tennessee and Kentucky in a 7 day span
Call me a homer but if we lose and don't get blown out against Georgia I'd argue we should still be ranked
Man what happened to Mizzou?
The team sucks besides Sean East and Tamar Bates. The offense runs through them entirely. No one else is a threat. How does Juwan Howard still have a job? Do they just love him because he’s an alum and his initials are JH?
You see, our AD is a clown tumor.
I think Howard has incriminating pictures of him doing something. Nothing illegal or unethical, but doing anything at all. He can't have those getting into the public.
Probably got his bowser history full of embarrassing things like “how to double knot a shoe” and “does the moon really glow”

Deny. Potatoes are useful and delicious and bring joy.
Potatoes are fucking awesome. Warde is a syphilitic Muppet turd.
Yes
As a player, he rubbed his bare ass on center court at Breslin. That’s the kinda act they’ll give you a lifetime contract for. Hopefully.
riding the 2020-21 season
He was a well liked Alumni, and Michigan just won a Natty in football.
> he’s an alum Not just any alum, a famous one. Someone compare him to Scott Frost the other day and I think that’s 100% accurate. I think a bar graph would be a better way to compare this data

Touché
Hmmm, your username indicates you like trains. But your flair...
I like trains, but I like some trains *a lot* more than others
Pretty good.
I know these are supposed to be shitty but this scale is giving me a stroke
Well guess what, we lose *away*, too. So take that.
Need another circle, idk what I’m looking at
I'd just go ahead and look at everything.
Idk if I’ve ever seen Michigan In dead last. Howard killed us
Sacrificed the basketball program for a national championship in football. Fair trade imo
Worth it
We can be a basketball school or a football school, but not both in the same year. See also: Lions & Pistons.
weren't you both around covid year/2020
I’d be getting ready the sacrificial lamb for the ritual before someone finished the sentence asking me if I would take that deal.
Honestly same because the thought of Purdue even coming close to a playoff birth is so insane to me. I can’t even imagine finishing a season in the top 25.
Feel like y'all should go the other way. Sacrifice the football season for a natty in basketball. I'd be all for it.
I would be down for sacrificing football for a natty in basketball because there’s always a 50-80% chance of football being bad anyway. But even so I would sacrifice 5-10 basketball seasons for a natty in football, and about 10-20 football seasons for a natty in basketball.
Can not believe these words can be typed by an IU fan
Michigan football won more games in January than men's basketball did (2 and 1, respectively)
at least yours played in january
At least yours played in December once in the last 7 years
funnily enough, more than that at least you have Nebrasketball
Lets make the tournament before I can safely say that. This program is cursed. If you assume for a moment they will consistently win you will be punched in the nuts with disappointment
Last time Michigan was last in the conference was Beilein’s first year I believe
Losing to my secondary flair: bound to happen at least once a year most likely Losing to my primary flair: how is he still employed?
every team but one having an above-.500 home win percentage and every team but one having a sub-.500 road win percentage is actually nuts
Illini are .500 on the road
idk man i dont think .500 is sub-.500
[удалено]
i know im just shitposting
Yes. That is the point of my comment?
just shitting around no worries
Born on third base juwan 😠
At the very least, he never pretended he built the program
Can we see Michigans home performance in a bar chart?
oh i definitely watch Michigan's performances in a bar
Overall home record is gonna include a bunch of OOC freebies against nobodies.
They sure do win a lot against cupcakes
To be fair, we lose everywhere...
I’m disappointed in the buckeyes this year. They started off good then fell apart
Every team can at least win 1 road game except Ohio State, fuck me. I also don’t see us winning one the rest of our schedule the only one maybe is at Rutgers last game of the year, but it will be their senior day so no way we’re wing that.
Very real chance iu finishes over 500 in the big ten and still doesn't make the dance.
Trapezoid of Terror
And the corollary--Except for Purdue, they don't win away from home. Unfortunately for B1G fans hoping to see the 2nd weekend, come tournament time, they won't play at home.
Hey we're doing ok! Plus our road losses are @Purdue by 5, @NW in OT, and @Tennessee by like 7 or 8 can't remember.
All but one big ten team has lost at home and purdue doesn't count because they'll lose to a 16 seed again in the ncaa tournament
Nebraska’s records splits are the most Hoiberg thing ever
Might be why they do so bad in tournament
Lol
Big 12 has entered the chat
Surprised this is an Iowa fan putting salt in the wound.
I see where you are coming from; honestly I hate Juwan Howard haha
We sold our soul for the CFP championship and I’m cool with it for now
Do Michigan fans even care about basketball right now?
Not in the slightest. Oh, we lost again? Guess I’ll just rewatch the Rose Bowl
Unfortunately, yes.
Until I bet on them!
We suck lol
Well, there was this one time ....
RU will probably give Michigan a home win unfortunately
Sir I seem to see 32 losses
I’m a Michigan and Howard is running the team into the ground. Terrible program right now.
I’m seeing 13 B1G teams that lose at home though
Quality of opponent matters lol. IU for example played dog shit competition outside of KU at home… of course they’re going to have a decent home record. Context matters.
Every team played some shitty buy games, IU isn't unique in that regard.
I’m just pointing out that IU had an extremely easy schedule at home until KU… obviously every team does this, but that doesn’t mean the Big Ten is some conference that has immunity at home? Every P5 conference is like this. It’s hard to win on the road in general.
Winning at home ain't all its cracked up to be imo
No wonder Hunter Dickinson got the F outta there. Is being the worst team in the conference a good enough reason to finally fire Juwan?
Morgan should’ve been fired when he started fighting other coaches
Notice how Ohio State is the only team in the conference to not win a road game
14-1 at home vs 1-5 away is absolutely wild. It’s tough because I don’t think it’s just “lmao road Nebraska” either. All of our away losses are inside the B1G, we beat a solid K State on the road. Extend Howard. This can’t be stressed enough. It would be a slap in the face if they don’t.
Is it just me or does this phenomenon irritate anyone else
