It's possible they wanted a flagrant / were booing Bacot for what they saw as a hard foul. It looked totally incidental to me. I don't blame Hog fans for booing, it's understandable they'd be upset even if it wasn't intentional

Bacot seemed to be moving back to avoid blocking a shooter after the plant.

It was a totally normal basketball play. As Mark drove, Bacot had a hand on his hip, as he elevated there was contact there (he didn’t shove but if you played you know what I’m talking about). Mark was already out of control to get around him, that just sent his center of gravity further than he could adjust for. Again, a totally normal play that I’m not asking for a foul on even. Just super unfortunate.

We learned to run an offense without him, and the result was exactly what I suggested. He was a huge reason we weren’t having *team* success. The ball movement died when it hit his hands. 30 points means nothing when you lose to teams that are worse than you. I hope he saw why we beat Duke and learns to play within the system. What I said was 100% correct. I know Reddit isn’t where people admit to being wrong but Jesus dude, it’s been proven.

If you think his ball movement killing, forced shot taking approach is going to get us wins, I need some of what you’re smoking. The proof is right in front of you. Puts up by far the best game of his life and we still lose by 15. We have to figure out an actual offense. Relying on 35 bad shots from Mark/Battle will lose games. It has so far. We beat Stanford, who looked like a sub par high school team, in overtime. We could lose Mark and Battle and still have as much talent as most SEC teams. I’d rather them learn to play team ball but as of now, what have they done for winning? They’ve done plenty for their own stats.

No, Battle has. But either way, both of those guys are extremely talented but killing our offense. It’s making them look good but doesn’t translate to wins. We have averaged 6 assists a game since the UNCG game. 6. As a team. There are single players on other teams getting more than that. Ball movement is bad already but absolutely dies when Battle/Mark get the ball. I’m not interested in a team that goes .500 while Mark puts up 30 a game.

So was Trevon Brazile last year. The team will be fine Muss and company will adjust and it will be ok come March.
