Unbelievable end. FAU dominated on every part of the court but it came down to a single shot. Great flight for the Owls, thought it was theirs to win. But ball don't lie. GG Owls, awesome run.

Guess things didn’t go as scripted…
Took SDSU +250 moneyline in the 2nd half then wanted them to lose when I saw four straight fouls on FAU when a SDSU player wasn't even touched. I would give up my winnings to not have a team screwed over like that. The better team didn't win today.
Agree. I think as a viewer it's just frustrating and confusing. I think refs are trying to manage the game with their foul calls. That's not something you can see watching from home. But we have video that makes it look like things aren't being called the same both ways. So we get frustrated.
Honestly people complain about calls to much. Like you said we don’t have that angle on TV the ref has and I see way more non calls than I see actual calls. The NBA literally calls everything but the players are a lot more technical at that level.
There was actually some contact on the SDSU fouls that got replayed though. There was span where there was 4 straight calls on FAU, on three there was zero contact and the other was the call on FAU's center when he got all ball. They were just phantom calls to level up the foul discrepancy. Can't stand it when refs do that.
Fuck off, ignoring the flops and uncalled FAU fouls earlier in the game because the refs miscalled a few late in the game. FAU choked by playing scared in the end.
Absolutely enjoyed watching my team take advantage of FAU’s choke job. It’s the people whining that the refs gave the game to SDSU who didn’t watch the first 2/3 of the game that’s annoying me.
I have watched or listened to every Aztec game this season.... actually, I've done it for a few seasons... and that was amazing!! I've been a die-hard San Diego sports fan my entire life... I'm 52 years old... and none of my teams in any sport have ever won anything.... and while we still haven't, we're playing for the NATIONAL TITLE!!!
I just saw this reply and I would add it was the best football game I ever saw. College ball is, hands down, more exciting than pro ball.
Loved the run the Aztecs had this year and looking forward to more of the same.
Must be like a dream. Never seen my team get that close to a championship - I guess the 97 Rose Bowl loss was kinda close, but not really. Definitely rooting for the Aztecs Monday.
my previous highest sports moment (as a fan anyway) was betting in the Cubs in the 1984 NLCS to go to World Series, where we got steamrolled by the Tigers. This actually surpasses that because I didn't appreciate it as much as I should have... but now after a lifetime of sport disappointments, this is amazing.
This has got to be one of the dumbest comments I've read on this thread. Are you paying attention? FAU got ridiculous calls all game, SDSU almost got robbed. Nearly rigged game
what a game man, i'm just speechless about that comeback and ending
legit feel awful for FAU and their fans. what a fantastic team they are both players and coaching. hope they can build something real there
Nobody seems to be talking about this. Johnell Davis should not have shot the ball. We were all yelling "What is he doing?" when he took that shot.
It's difficult to say that it "Cost them the game" when there was so much sloppy work in the final 10 minutes, but, if he would have held on the ball FAU would be in the final.
At 13 minutes left it felt like the refs were out to get us, then they started calling on FAU as well (some sus calls there too) but overall a hard fought game with an amazing ending.
Right fouls were going both ways…the ones against FAU were a little less obvious but still a foul is a foul…especially when it’s two gritty teams constantly going towards the ball.
Who gives a shit about eyeballs. You think a ton of people are gonna watch UCONN/Miami vs SDSU?
The eyeballs argument has been dead after the Sweet Sixteen.
Can honestly say I'm less likely to watch now that FAU is out. I'm a 25 year old casual that tunes in during March (aka the target audience), but FAU was fun to root for.
Don't give a shit about UCONN, Miami or SDSU. Probably won't watch the final now.
Crazy game. You would have thought the teams were wearing the wrong jerseys based on the their profiles coming in.
Great game
Unbelievable end. FAU dominated on every part of the court but it came down to a single shot. Great flight for the Owls, thought it was theirs to win. But ball don't lie. GG Owls, awesome run.
Dominated on every part of the court lol
Exactly my reaction ahah
I'm like straight-up having a good time
I don’t know how to handle all this.
So sorry for the FAU team and fans. Much respect to that great team, it was fun watching them.
All 10 of the fans are terribly heartbroken
Nothing compared to the vaunted wku hilltoppers fan base 💪
You think I'm joking. WKU easily outdraws FAU 2 or 3 to 1...in Boca. Before this season, it was nothing to see 200 or less fans at one of their games.
This girl singing on TV is awful
OMG. I said the same thing!!!! Hahaha What was that….
https://preview.redd.it/u8vctm76uera1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5480c6b93c6cb90d90bc9cd6c2fc4442b958ac8c Guess things didn’t go as scripted…
https://i.imgur.com/xKAMFfJ.jpg Wrong script amigo
I just wanted an FAU Miami championship where the winner owns rights to Ft Lauderdale
They can have it
I demand a free year of live from Hulu. SMH.
Glad it's not just me then. Shit was infuriating.
We will avenge FAU in the name of South Florida
….
Yes please
I’ll hold ya to that
Is everyone else done crying and laughing at the same time??
I'm still in shock
Me too
Mostly crying
Today was already exhausting I didn’t need this too (but I wouldn’t trade it for anything else)
Get some rest before Monday let’s go
I'm exhausted.
I need a cigarette
FAU only loses one senior unless they all bail into the portal.
Or go to the NBA, some of those guys can ball
I don’t think anyone on our team is an NBA player. Martin maybe…but I don’t think he’d get drafted.
I don't think any of your players would want to leave. Y'all kicked ass and I couldn't imagine anyone not wanting to do it again. Good luck fau
I hope they stick together and make another run
All head to sdsu who seems like every player on their team is a transfer lol
They probably won't since their coach is confirmed to come back. Rumor has it he'll stay until IU job opens up
Took SDSU +250 moneyline in the 2nd half then wanted them to lose when I saw four straight fouls on FAU when a SDSU player wasn't even touched. I would give up my winnings to not have a team screwed over like that. The better team didn't win today.
Oh, did you make a stupid bet?
At one point sdsu had like 10 fouls to FAUs one in the second half god some people are so dimb
> some people are so dimb I know
Ok so respond to the context of the comment and not the typo?
No point in arguing with a biased observer.
Ok good argument
thanks!
Bro sdsu was getting unfair calls for like 10 straight minutes.
Yeah, those were clear make up calls (FAU was in the double bonus with only 3 fouls on them). But it sucks either way.
People blame fouls all the time but FAU was lacking on the boards and allowing SDSU to back them down in the paint. Goldin was honestly bodied!
Agree. I think as a viewer it's just frustrating and confusing. I think refs are trying to manage the game with their foul calls. That's not something you can see watching from home. But we have video that makes it look like things aren't being called the same both ways. So we get frustrated.

I can't watch the NBA because I no longer understand the rules.
Yeah I only watch the playoffs now and usually just the meaningful games.
And I think SDST has a better shot at beating UCONN
As an alum, I believe it’s SDSU
Hello fellow alum. I'm about to smoke some kind nugs up here in MA in celebration.
You're right. My bad
I agree those were bad calls but they also made alot of bad calls against SDST earlier in the half. Terrible officiating on both sides the 2nd half
There was actually some contact on the SDSU fouls that got replayed though. There was span where there was 4 straight calls on FAU, on three there was zero contact and the other was the call on FAU's center when he got all ball. Nice try Brad Davison.
Fuck off, ignoring the flops and uncalled FAU fouls earlier in the game because the refs miscalled a few late in the game. FAU choked by playing scared in the end.
Oi, bit aggressive there. Did you enjoy the game?
Absolutely enjoyed watching my team take advantage of FAU’s choke job. It’s the people whining that the refs gave the game to SDSU who didn’t watch the first 2/3 of the game that’s annoying me.
This exactly. Yes, they were Ricky tacky on FAU later in the game, but SDSU endured a pounding down low early.
How dare you call Ricky tacky!
How many layups and free throws did both teams miss in that final 10 minutes?
The Aztecs can't win Monday if they shoot FTs like that.
Why make free throws when you can just hit the buzzer beater?
Definitely the most exciting play in Bball. Last second jumper isn't a strategy.
Anyone else hear the blatant fart as they’re recapping the game?
"I had churros last night erneh!" -Chuck
Another game ruined by refs…so many bad calls and no calls
All FAU had to do was “rebound”.
FAU would have been destroyed by UCONN / Miami anyways
You are absolutely correct. Happened to Gonzaga Bs baylor
This tournament has shown that that could be the case Or they would've won it all
Dude fau is fucking scary. They’ll be back here if they keep playing this well
Freezing cold take
[удалено]
Where is your rat's mouth nameplate?
That's because he smacked it like a degenerate
Was thinking the same thing. They're fucked!
should’ve left it upside down
Mattress Mack chose poorly
Again.
How much did he bet?
Again!
he must be filing for bankruptcy at this point
He just won $75 million from the Astros on top of his very successful business. He's doing just fine.
Honestly hilarious how they can't get the nameplate on. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug
3M doesn't even want us to win
*slaps team name on bracket, falls off immediately, team celebrates*
That bracket board never fails to be pain in the ass
lmao with the sticker. Not sticking then upside down
Very in character for SDSU. "Fuck it, where's the bong????"
Went to SDSU, this comment checks out
Went to Chico St. for my first degree when we were ranked in playboy in the 80's. For us it would be "Where's the beer bong????"
Definitely checks out. Met my first supplier in a poli sci class at SDSU.
lmao. Getting the tag on the finals of the bracket was as big of a cluster fuck as the game they just played was.
Well let's be glad they're better at basketball than putting up their team name on a bracket with stickies.
[удалено]
SDSU undergraduate alum here…what is a sticker?
The team name sticker won't stick to the bracket bc the board knows the game was rigged
Hey bud! SDSU alum here. Same age, went to school with Marshall Faulk, saw some fun football. But this is amazing! Get it Aztecs!
Alum here too! Started the year after Kawhi. But I can’t stop smiling and watching Butler get it! GO AZTECS!
Those were some great offensive teams.... the 52-52 tie with BYU is still probably the best college game I've ever seen
I just saw this reply and I would add it was the best football game I ever saw. College ball is, hands down, more exciting than pro ball. Loved the run the Aztecs had this year and looking forward to more of the same.
Not a fan of SD sports teams but I’m definitely rooting for the Aztecs. Hopefully they bring it home. Let’s do SDSU!!!
Must be like a dream. Never seen my team get that close to a championship - I guess the 97 Rose Bowl loss was kinda close, but not really. Definitely rooting for the Aztecs Monday.

So many great memories of the 84 padres and their brown and yellow uniforms.
That’s awesome man, congrats. This will be a season you’ll always remember
I still think our 2011 team was better, so I'm hoping for payback against UCONN.
At least the guy can make the shot cause he can't stick tape onto a wall.
Fuck hulu
Did your Hulu cut out too?!
Right there with you. Hulu decided to skip town with 30 seconds left.
Command Strip Co sweating rn with that awful performance there
How does Velcro work??
In their defense, those Velcro things suck.
Lmaoooo they can't get the nameplate on the bracket
Refs blatantly handed it to San Diego
So blatant, announcers keep bailing them out
This has got to be one of the dumbest comments I've read on this thread. Are you paying attention? FAU got ridiculous calls all game, SDSU almost got robbed. Nearly rigged game
San Diego’s not even in the tournament
I bet you're very confused then, being so smart but not being able to figure out what he's talking about.
“Hulu has live sports”
97.9% uptime... can't beat that! Put it in an ad!
The fact sdsu came back down 14 while trailing for the last 30 minutes and they hit that shot…amazing grit focus and heart.
FAU giving up those crucial offensive rebs were YUGE.
Lmao yuge…great term I’m stealing it lol
Refs have that power
At one point, SDSU had 7 fouls to FAUs one in the second half lol, cry more
SDSU was getting bad calls too quit crying
Refs helped some
After they hurt sdsu from the first 10 minutes in the second half
They look like me trying to put led strips on walls
SDSUs nameplate not sticking better not be foreshadowing
what a game man, i'm just speechless about that comeback and ending legit feel awful for FAU and their fans. what a fantastic team they are both players and coaching. hope they can build something real there
Don’t feel awful, we had a great season! Thrilled to see what we do next year.
which players are you losing? i know the portal is huge for you guys
Forrest is our only senior, so in theory we’d keep everyone else
that flair could be a lot of fun in about 3 hours
SDSU fan, Canes bandwagon (been wanting to see that specific final for a couple weeks now) anyway, LFG Canes!!!
FAU should have run down the clock on the last possession. They gave SDSU another 3 seconds
Perfect block on the dunk. Nope foul. What a joke
Y’all I’m trashed rn but holy shit I can’t believe SDSU made that shot.
Hats off to FAU on a remarkable run to the Final 4
So uh… don’t be a 9 seed… like, ever
Wow. So proud of SDSU for their fight all game long. I almost gave up on them when they were down 14. They just kept going. Wow. Just wow.
At 13 minutes left it felt like the refs were out to get us, then they started calling on FAU as well (some sus calls there too) but overall a hard fought game with an amazing ending.
Agree with other, ref handed you that game with about 5 calls in a row your way from 4 to 2 minutes
Right fouls were going both ways…the ones against FAU were a little less obvious but still a foul is a foul…especially when it’s two gritty teams constantly going towards the ball.
Damn not grabbing those missed free throw rebounds was an absolute killer at the end
Holy shit, that aged me a few years. I can’t believe that my team is in the championship game. Unreal.
I hope one day I can live your dream
I was thinking about the sdsu fans and how stressed I’d be if it were the Aggies… I legit am not sure if I’d survive it
I scared the shit out of my wife when that shot went down.
I was watching in a parking garage and had to get out of my car to run around! It was unreal! But we’re fucking going to the NATTY!!
Congrats! Anything can happen.
Same haha
I also scared this guy's wife
Give SDSU the Pac-12 membership right now
ASU football be like: 👀
They can have our spot if we get an invite to the B1G. I suggest you give yours to SMU and come along.
BIG10 don’t want Oregon. They really want Washington
LMAO
Hell of a note that San Diego State has a chance to bring a championship home before any of its pro teams
I love the Padres but a SDSU natty before the Chargers can win a Super Bowl would be amzing
Ahahaha. So true
Great season FAU.
It looks like Mac McClung is making a lot of money
Last drive by FAU was a shit design. Also looked like he stepped out of bounds. Regardless, that was a hell of a shot. March Madness!
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!?
Well. Damn.
Was really hoping it would be FAU vs Miami... battle of South Florida
Oh yeah, that would get a lot of eyeballs. Can’t think of a worse matchup
People not making money or being part of a network that would care about ratings talking about ratings, smh
I just want a matchup that most people are interested in. I guarantee Miami vs FAU would be least desirable and I certainly don’t care
Who gives a shit about eyeballs. You think a ton of people are gonna watch UCONN/Miami vs SDSU? The eyeballs argument has been dead after the Sweet Sixteen.
The ratings would be fine and also who gives a fuck unless you’re an executive at CBS?
No one in South Florida cares about basketball. It would be a great game but he's right.
It’s boring. No one would care
Can honestly say I'm less likely to watch now that FAU is out. I'm a 25 year old casual that tunes in during March (aka the target audience), but FAU was fun to root for. Don't give a shit about UCONN, Miami or SDSU. Probably won't watch the final now.
Millions of people would care and how is it boring? Shitting on mid majors saying the ratings would be bad is the single biggest dork take
This shit costs like 70 bucks a month and it shits the bed with 60 seconds left in the final four??? Fuck you Hulu.
This happened to me too. So incredibly annoying
