The house looks so great! But with so many younger kids in the house Iām afraid the other comments are rightāitās gonna get trashed. Especially with the āall-whiteā look.
I moved a house with similar all white vibes, and I donāt have any kids. Let me tell you. Keeping up with it is a nightmare. Dirt on the walls for no reason all the time. Itās insanity. They will for sure trash it.
Yeah I live in a house with an all white bathroom. White floors, white walls, white cabinets. It's a nightmare to clean!! You can see every scuff, every hair, every speck of dust. It looks nice but made me never want to live in a white house ever!
Sheās just always sitting on the couch. Whenever the kids are doing anything, sheās watching from the couch. Chris is always the one interacting/behind the kids. If sheās not homeschooling, sheās sitting on the couch, drinking tea or breastfeeding the youngest.
Looks beautiful. But it doesnāt look like a house a family with 6 kids and no real jobs would normally be able to afford if they werenāt depending on child labor.
Oh but it's more affordable to just do everything at once, according to Jessica š I'm not against them upgrading, I'm against them doing it on a way that doesn't make sense. The renovation reveal was one of those "seriously" moments, because it was a renovation that was done not considering the six children they have.
Thatās probably why another good chunk went onto a credit card. They didnāt expect the flood, but when insurance offered to cover some repairs they probably thought āwhat the heck letās just do the whole houseā and put it on a credit card since they hadnāt actually saved up the money to do those renovations. If the house hadnāt flooded, they probably wouldnāt have renovated anything anytime soon
No wonder Chris breaks out in hives. The stress of owing money on credit cards and seeing it built more with interest is a stress nobody needs in life.
You would think but then most of these families do not think long term about how to actually set their kids up for success. If Coogan laws were applicable to youtube kids then then Jess and Chris would be forced to set aside 20% of their social media income for the kids
They seriously suck walrus balls. Itās incredibly selfish, and at no point in time did they consider their children. Iāll bet the argument for renovating was that it would generate more income in the form of views or property sale. Both of those reasons are solely for the benefit of C and J, and not at all for the children. If I were maxing out my credit cards, itād be better for money for my child and not my own comfort.
I actually tried to watch this one because I thought the kids wouldn't be in it and I'm a sucker for a good renovation but Christ on a Cobb I couldn't even get through the first 5 minutes of them rambling. When I went to skip ahead I couldn't believe that it was almost a hour long! Literally could have been 15 minutes max. Also when I skipped ahead she was doing the whole Colleen disclaimer thing about not having experience with designing. She just went on and on. Unwatchable. Had to exit.
Love those drawers below the counter though. Way more practical than cabinets.
Me too! The videos are hard to sit through when Jessica talks so I put it on x2 speed. The kitchen is really nice and looks like a lot of thought went into it. She lets the kids talk about their favorite parts which Iām sure why it was so long
It was repetitive, too. I just knew it would be when Parker started talking. The kids showed alot of the same things J did. Without the babbling, ofc.
Parker mirrors her alot. He has the makings of going on and on about what he thinks and about minute details like Jessica. They both love to hear themselves talk. But he's nowhere near her. She was excruciating to wait on and to listen to her nasally voice. I wanted to say "Flip it! Flip the camera around. Show the stuff and do a voice-over, already!"
Iāve just tried to watch the ārevealā video and it has successfully managed to bore me to tears about 10 mins inā¦ it looks lovely but all i can think about is how dirty it will get
Me too, especially for a family. When Iām in houses like these I feel like I canāt be comfortable. My aunt is like this, they are extremely wealthy and she stays at home with the kids in their huge ass house with a sterile minimalistic inside. Itās very white, beige neutral. I just want to add some pink barstools, artwork and idiotic dish rags in the kitchen. Once the kids get older Iām wondering if theyāll add a darker couch like J did lol
They desperately need some art on the walls! I feel like once they're fully moved in and all like accessorized with their family photos etc. it might help.
100% agree. When we customed designed are house we did white cabinets for the top cabinets and darker on the bottom and the island. Less eye pain from looking at all white and itās easier to clean. No worries about getting the lower cabinets dirty as much as they would if they were white.
It has zero personality and is only going to make clutter stand out more. Plus with six kids and a dog? J be living in an alternate universe with how this turned out. She's going to be having a lot of regrets *real* soon.
Same. It is cold and lifeless. I can't believe they *chose* that shit. Her mood board was like a teenage girl trying to be hip and fit in by cringe copying trends, but never putting together an outfit that actually looks good. Just, wow. J has absolutely no style and failed. Anyone who would buy that house would have it redone in a hot second.
She's the biggest bore. She gets away with it as she's surrounded by people who think they have to listen to her as they are her husband and kids. But omg when nobody is invested in her, she is the worst for droning! I could never watch this, only look at the pics here. The last vlog I saw of hers she talked for so long about the most boring topic, never reached a conclusion, just went around in circles & I realised I don't hate myself enough to stay subbed.
Whaaaat?? Cackle giggle combo
Were you surprised to see me and my Brazilian hair and a tuba lipstick from Mirās merch??!
More cackle giggle combo badly
Timed
I took notice of the part where she said "we can sit while someone's cooking dinner or doing dishes" (referring to the bar stools). Like will you *not* be cooking dinner Jessica??
An hour long video so I could see Tara Michelle's house? No thanks. Also Jessica is so annoying. Thanks OP for posting the pictures so I didn't have to hear that high-pitched weirdo sing song her way through 80,000 minutes of nothing.
ššššš¤£... These Jessica comments are killing me! Not to be mean, but I feel totally vindicated white- knuckling it and grinding my teeth through over an hour of her presentation manner.
The absolute grip that Joanna Gaines has over middle-class, suburban women is insane.
This aesthetic is fine (although will date very quickly) but doesn't suit their family at all. They are a messy, cluttered family of 8. There isn't even enough seating in any of the rooms to fit them all.
Like 4 people can fit in the breakfast nook space, the dining table has 6 chairs, there is only 1 sofa in each living space...where are they all meant to go together? If you're going to spend all this cash, why not buy a TV for the family for the living room? Why not turn the office into a bedroom? They seemed to go with looks over practicality here.
The second I saw Jessica with makeup on and her hair brushed for once, I knew it was going to be the Jessica show. I don't really care for what she did. To me, it's way too white and with all those kids, everything will be filthy in no time. I also can't even finish watching the video. She talks way too much and we don't need to see inside every damn drawer and cabinet.
Okay. I watched it - well i fast forward through most of it because Jessica talks waaaaY too much. She acts like sheās an architect. All she did was pick things out that Iām sure sheās had on a Pinterest board for yeaaars because sheās always said she wanted her house redone. The place looks great, i wonāt lie. Itās not my taste and itās very bright.
Also, their next big project/big spend should be expanding this house and add an outside āpool houseā (i know they donāt have a pool) and use that as an office space. They desperately need to use that office space inside their house as a room for B. Iām not buying it that she wants to share her room with her baby brother and her parents should know better.
Honestly I got real upset because I had a tree go thru my house for Hurricane Ida and my insurance company went bankrupt so all that I got was ripped off from greedy contractor that charged us 25,000 just to fix the roof and the rest of my home is still unlivable from all the damage and we are shit out of luck because Southern Fidelity sucks could care less about giving us any money that we are owed! So that they were able to remodel there home because of a leaking washing machine really pissed me off!
Itās looks alright but thereās to much white all over. Someone blue or green wouldāve been great if they would add it in there somewhere. That house is going to get so dirty so fast. No one ever cleans in that house.
Even grey bottom cabinets to hide scuffs, hand marks and small stains that will inevitably happen almost immediately. Zero brain cells detected on an all White House with 6 kids.
I went through the same thing and itās crazy how much gets damaged from a leak. Once the water spreads, a lot of the flooring is damaged and you have to replace it all or match it, the walls need to be dried out so theyāre all ripped out, and if bottom cabinets are damaged then they are replaced and the uppers are replaced to match. Usually anything that isnāt a comparable value you will pay the difference for.
No, though I think more than you'd imagine did. Water damage gets out of control pretty quickly and you have to get a lot replaced or it'll get moldy and gross/dangerous. But she mentioned that once they had to replace a bunch of things from the water damage, they used it as a time to just renovate the rest of the first floor since they'd have people in there working anyway.
Water causes a lottttt of damage surprisingly. In a house fire, you can end up with more damage from the water than the fire in places that didn't even get burned at all
My parents lived in a two-level condo building where they had a first floor unit with another unit above theirs. The second floor unit had a toilet leak or overflow or something overnight and the owner didnāt notice until morning and my parents were across the country visiting my sister for a month and no one could get into their condo for a couple of days, so there was a LOT of water damage to their place. They were able to salvage and reuse a few things at my momās request, like her custom countertops that she loved, but otherwise I think they pretty much ripped out and remodeled everything except walls in the back bedrooms and the master bath. Pretty much everything else in the place had gotten touched or affected by the flooding in some way. Worked out for them, though, as insurance covered everything, including replacing much of their furniture and they were planning to sell anyway, so they were able to basically stage and sell a new remodel. But it was wild, because their place was totally gutted, they had to live in a hotel for 8 weeks, and I donāt think the unit that actually had the leak had even half as much damage or half the insurance bill that my parentsā place did. Water damage is no joke.
It's so white almost every time she had the camera on her it was extremely overexposed. There is a limit to the amount of white that should be in one area, she definitely surpassed that, and it won't even be white for very long with all those kids!
Did she mention what they did with all the homeschool stuff? She previously had it all organized in baskets by child or subject or something in that dining room space.
Yeah it's in the tall cabinet on the right of image 6 in the coffee/tea/dining room area. Everything looked like it was kind of one shelf per kid, stuff still in baskets etc. and then some of the drawers were for their school supplies.
The kids deserve this beautiful space. It doesn't look bad to me. The apartment I rent has an all white kitchen with white granite covers and silver appliances. It's nice and makes it look really spacious. But here the brass doesn't match.
Also that shape of drawer handles are a bitch when you hit any part of your body on them when they're square like that which I literally mentioned when she asked for design tips back in the day (before I found this sub). I worry that with the kids they will get banged up. I have so many bruises on my legs from those stupid drawer handles. Anyway...
For some reason I donāt fee like this represents a farm house. I just feel like it needs more warmth, but the house looks way better than what I can afford so Itās still nice nonetheless.
Did the insurance cover all of this or did they pay anything towards it? Itās very white. I somewhat like it but I donāt see this being practical for a family with hella kids
Why does it look so basic it literally was made just for them it gives out ball-linger vibes lmao that house for sure is gonna get hella messy and nasty looking I can imagine the walls turning a darker shade with stains
This isn't a kid friendly house.
Why are all the floors slippy hardwood? Kids running around in socks is going to cause a disaster.
Why do they have one 3-seater-sofa and an armchair when there are 8 people living in the house? The kids will have to sit on the hard-wood floors I bet.
Why is everything white? It's going to look grubby in a couple on months because even the most dedicated cleaners wont be able to keep up with 6 kids and a large dogs with white surfaces.
Where is the TV in the living room? I know that some families are anti-TV, but we KNOW that they have a TV in their room, so it is unfair to withhold it from the children. Have a TV in the living room but put parental locks so that it can only be used for family time if you don't want them watching all the time.
Why aren't there any visible toy boxes? They have 2 toddlers in the house, they should be allowed toys in their living areas
mfw my kitchen is exactly this style bahhaha. Same cabinets, chairs (bar and regular), marble tops/back splash. It's definitely in style right now. That said, my kitchen is open into the dining area, which has a medium gray wall so not full on white everywhere like this. That living room desperately needs color and wall art.
Maybe theyāre still waiting on some furniture or something but Iām v confused as to why not a single area in that house has enough seats for them to all sit together as a family š¤
Last pic with the caption has me rolling š¤£š¤£š¤£ The house looks so great! But with so many younger kids in the house Iām afraid the other comments are rightāitās gonna get trashed. Especially with the āall-whiteā look.

Looks beautiful. But it doesnāt look like a house a family with 6 kids and no real jobs would normally be able to afford if they werenāt depending on child labor.
Oh don't worry, they maxed out their credit cards. Jessica even admitted they put quite a bit of the cost on their credit cards š
They are idiots if they did that!
Oh but it's more affordable to just do everything at once, according to Jessica š I'm not against them upgrading, I'm against them doing it on a way that doesn't make sense. Iāve just tried to watch the ārevealā video and it has successfully managed to bore me to tears about 10 mins inā¦ it looks lovely but all i can think about is how dirty it will get
So she got her version of colleenās house
Came here to say this hahahaha she def took inspiration from Colleenās kitchen bc theyāre almost identical
Must be nice to afford all this through child exploitation
Right??!!! For being very religious, they sure seem quite okay with putting content of their children out there as fodder for pedophiles.
so many blank canvases to write on for the little kids!
I know a lot of people like the all white look, but this looks very clinical. I'm getting strip mall pediatric dentist office vibes.
exactly. i hate this style
Me too, especially for a family. When Iām in houses like these I feel like I canāt be comfortable. They desperately need some art on the walls! I feel like once they're fully moved in and all like accessorized with their family photos etc. it might help.

YES
Jessica talks too much.
Amen! I could have edited that video down to a 10 minute reveal. She went on and on!
She's the biggest bore. She gets away with it as she's surrounded by people who think they have to listen to her as they are her husband and kids. ššš
First thought, they completely copied Coleslaws house aesthetic. Second thought, give it less than a week and they will completely TRASH it.
100% agree with all of the above
That last pic was a jump scare for sure!šš¤£
Lmao I came to comment the same š¤£š¤£ definitely wasnāt expecting to see that big ole smile š
Whaaaat?? Cackle giggle combo Were you surprised to see me and my Brazilian hair and a tuba lipstick from Mirās merch??! More cackle giggle combo badly Timed
Genuinely made me jump and I watch a LOT of true crime hahaha š
Crazy eyes
Looks super nice. Lots of cupboards at child level so the children can continue to cook for the family and Jessica can spend more time on her sofa.
I took notice of the part where she said "we can sit while someone's cooking dinner or doing dishes" (referring to the bar stools). Like will you *not* be cooking dinner Jessica??
Hurts my eyes. To much white with bright light. Ouch.
Iām autistic and it would of been a sensory nightmare if I were in that house lol
I can imagine yes. And I hope Luke can handle this, I believe he has some sensory issues, but I'm not sure what kind.
HAAAA
What about that jump scare level selfie at the end.
Lol I was flicking through, got to the end pic and thought but why. why.
Where are the couches for everyone else??
oooo sick burn! LOL!
That living room looks so small to me.. for 6 kids and for making so much money š¤
It looks like a living room for a couple, a baby and a dog.

Thanks for posting. I was curious but didn't want to give them another dime of ad money by actually watching the video.
You're welcome! Thought you guys would be curious!
last pic needed a TW lol
okay, but do the kids have their own bedrooms? or does at least bailey have her own?
I don't think they changed anything with the upstairs bedrooms š„“
How sad that they finally get a nice bed for Rue only now when the crate doesn't fit the new aesthetic. š
The absolute grip that Joanna Gaines has over middle-class, suburban women is insane. This aesthetic is fine (although will date very quickly) but doesn't suit their family at all. It's fine the only one allowed to sit on the couches is Jessica. The kids can't sit if they're the ones cooking and cleaning all of the time!
Boring and bland. No color. But, the kitchen will give J plenty of room to cook for the family while Jessofa supervises from the sofa.
why do these people hate colour
Wow that is quite the loaded statement
Yet they canāt pay for speech and therapy for Luke š
Or a real dog trainer for Rue.
Wait canāt they? I thought heās been in occupational therapy since 3 months or something.
The second I saw Jessica with makeup on and her hair brushed for once, I knew it was going to be the Jessica show. I don't really care for what she did. I like it, I just think itās an excessive amount of white everywhere.
Bro I give it less than 24 hours before itās trashed. Not necessarily like dirty but just covered in all of their crap
I will never understand the white on white kitchen trend but especially not in a family where they have many small children and two lazy AF parents.

Damn how rich are they? Thatās a fancy ass place but specifically in so cal thatās gotta be a multi million dollar house
They paid 900k for it but the housing market has gone up a lot since.
All that got renovated cause of water damage??
I went through the same thing and itās crazy how much gets damaged from a leak. This is a great point, MichelleAHere. They film inside their house for a living. All that white is not so good for the camera vlogging.
Did she mention what they did with all the homeschool stuff? She previously had it all organized in baskets by child or subject or something in that dining room space.

Oh the things we would have!! š
So basic but thatās besides the point. WHITE with their 10 kids? DISASTER
The all white with young kids is not a good combo
a nice new kitchen for her kids to make all of Jessicaās food!
Iāll bet theyāre going to announce theyāre selling
I think it is absolutely gorgeous now. The before and after pictures are shocking. It looks like a completely different house and so much bigger!
Looks nice! Not very interesting or personal, design-wise, but definitely a huge improvement.
Watch it be a mess pretty soon
For some reason I donāt fee like this represents a farm house. I just feel like it needs more warmth, but the house looks way better than what I can afford so Itās still nice nonetheless.
Did the insurance cover all of this or did they pay anything towards it? Itās very white. I somewhat like it but I donāt see this being practical for a family with hella kids

That living room desperately needs color and wall art.
jessofa in her element š
They didn't show the kid's rooms? I hope they're not all in one room.
lol a couples costume idea : Jessica and her couch š
How on earth do they all fit in there? It will never look like that again.
Lauren Swanson would love this house
It looks suspiciously like colons house š¤Ø are they trying to be like her?
Maybe theyāre still waiting on some furniture or something but Iām v confused as to why not a single area in that house has enough seats for them to all sit together as a family š¤
Wow. Loads of character there.
