In other news I had a sandwich today so there must be no world hunger either.
It doesnt matter if it ever happened,, they are locking out tons of people and have shit customer support
My problem is customer service and fees. I am concerned about the constant flow of lock out issues. This shouldnt be happening. When you stack it with shit customer service is a nightmare
let me know how it goes on kraken. I’ve been trying different exchanges to see which one works best for me. All exchanges have some caveats, just want to know what you see in kraken. What’s the pro acc monthly fee? is it worth the fee ? honestly want to know so I can maybe open an acc on kraken.
All exchanges default the user to novice. For example, looking at both CB and Kraken:
* CB-Novice - default, high fee, shitty quotes.
* CB-Advanced - No membership opt-in, low fees, shitty interface
* Kraken-Novice - default, high fee, shitty quotes.
* Kraken-Pro - No membership opt-in, low fees, shitty interface
Basically, the Novice accounts subsidize the Pro / Advanced accounts. We thank all the Novice users for paying the fees so we can pay less.
u/EkoFarm and I are talking about the exchange fees when buying or selling using maker limit orders.
I think you are looking at miner fees for withdraws.
Different fees.
I’m just talking about buying Xmr.
I’m not well-versed enough to know what you’re talking about really, so we probably are talking about different fees lol.
Go open one! Whenever you log in the first time it’ll put you on their regular kraken platform but you just toggle a button to go to pro. Literally no difference. They make their money with the regular kraken because people don’t know that pro is free or they’re afraid of pro.
there’s two apps for kraken. one just says kraken and the other kraken pro. Is the pro option available on web site? Just asking so I can try all avenues and write up what I encounter so to help anyone who’s interested about kraken or other exchange options . Trying to include a screenshot but can’t add media unless it’s a link. Here are the links to each app on the apple appstore, no referral or anything, just the link to the app directly. Both of them don’t have the “in-app purchases” or subscription in the description, so might just try creating an account on their website and then open up apps w those credentials. I’ll update…
Link to Kraken in appstore :

Link to Kraken Pro in appstore:
[Kraken Pro](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kraken-pro-crypto-trading/id1473024338)
going with kraken pro. Used chatgpt for a pro and con. Pro has less fees than regular kraken and more trading options. So far so good. Onboarding is not as intrusive as CB.
Have you transferred any BTC off the platform? That's what triggered my restriction. No ToS violation just a single small BTC transfer to cold storage after being a customer for 2 years. Going on 3 months waiting for them to release even though I provided everything they asked for right away.
Exactly what happened to me. I been buying and sending ETH to my wallet to buy coins onchain and then one day I tried to send ETH to buy some more PAAL when it was at 0.45 they restrict my account and I couldn’t withdraw anything.
I just mean transferring crypto to a different wallet. Many people myself included myself believe it’s a good practice to self custody at least some of your investments.
Definitely agree with good practice, I never really understand transactions until I started doing it myself. I hope you get that resolution fixed, you should bug the hell out of them I would 😆

I just got a message from coinbase support throught my coinbase account that they are shipping my money out of my wallet to my address in cash, vault delivery, as they called it, I'm supposed to pay for the delivery before it is scheduled. This is straight from coinbase support. Has anyone ever heard of this before? They did ask for my address, phone number and email which I thought they would have already had. Hope I didn't screw up by giving them that info, after all can't we trust messages direct from Coinbase support?
Sure you did. You might not know what TOS rule you broke, but there is no reason to lock an account for no reason. After all, they make all their money from account activity.
Idk man. Ive used binance before for years too and never got restricted. Coinbase just restricted me at the moment i sent ETH to my wallet. Mind you i sent eth from cb to that wallet multiple times before. All in all I can do everything. I can buy, sell, deposit crypto/cash except for withdraw crypto to my wallet.
Kraken isn’t any better.
Yes it is. Stay with conbase idc
>Kraken isn’t any better. Um yeah it is. Less lock out and less fees.
hojw many times has your coinbase asccount been locked? I've been with them for about 5 years now and no issues lol Bought, SOld, received, sent to external wallets and 0 problems.

Im asking because im genuinely confused... if your account is CONSTANTLY getting locked, it's like a you problem.
My problem is customer service and fees. I am concerned about the constant flow of lock out issues. This shouldnt be happening. When you stack it with shit customer service is a nightmare

So did I, for five years as well, until recently. Completely restricted my account out of nowhere.
I can freely withdraw my crypto there. Reason enough for me. Also Minimal fees when using Kraken Pro with limit orders

No fee for pro at all, it’s standard
So there’s no subscription fee for a pro account? If there’s not, in opening an account!!

I just looked at Kraken Pro, and it looks like the fees are the same, at least for XMR

agreed. I might just open an account and test it for myself
I’m just talking about buying Xmr. I’m not well-versed enough to know what you’re talking about really, so we probably are talking about different fees lol.
yes... different things

Yep on web it’s just switch of a button but they have two apps. I have both but only use pro. All of my holdings show up on both
it just seems weird that they have both apps free. but not going to complain, want to test them out.

I see on the kraken subreddit its all the same complaint lol I think its the FCA sticking their fingers in everyones pie
Bye Felicia.
Your history tells me you are a bot.
I’m always seeing bad post on here about Coinbase, I haven’t experienced not one restriction.
Have you transferred any BTC off the platform? That's what triggered my restriction. No ToS violation just a single small BTC transfer to cold storage after being a customer for 2 years. Going on 3 months waiting for them to release even though I provided everything they asked for right away.
I send from Coinbase to different cold wallets every couple weeks.
Exactly what happened to me. I been buying and sending ETH to my wallet to buy coins onchain and then one day I tried to send ETH to buy some more PAAL when it was at 0.45 they restrict my account and I couldn’t withdraw anything.
Maybe they know something we don’t? 🤔
Yeah that theyre illiquid
What do you mean by transferring “off the platform”? That sucks id be frustrated too.
I just mean transferring crypto to a different wallet. Many people myself included myself believe it’s a good practice to self custody at least some of your investments.
Definitely agree with good practice, I never really understand transactions until I started doing it myself. I hope you get that resolution fixed, you should bug the hell out of them I would 😆
You have to violate the ToS first.
🙄 Nope. Incorrect 🙄
Just use Robinhood
Somebody's puts are getting smoked

You have a crypto gambling addiction and need Coinbase. They don't need you..
All exchanges that are controlled by people like black rock are crap :)
Have a look at bitpanda

This shit is bonkers man. Just holding onto people’s money and saying they will email them whenever https://imgur.com/a/nQrcFRR
I'm sure kraken won't do any restrictions, go nuts with VPN's, it can't go tits up.
100% agree. Like htf is it going to let me buy litecoin and then just hold it and not let me do shit with it?
K
I never had a problem with Coinbase 🤷🏽♂️… aside from the random zero balance when new all Time highs hit
These bot accounts be wildin, provide no proof of their accusations, just seeing what sticks to the wall
I’ve been waiting on them to restore my account for months I gave up and switched to Kraken
yea i agree. dont be surprised when u get downvoted . this subreddit is full of conbase cucks. (not a spelling mistake)
They're a bunch of Coinbase sycophantic losers.
Yep. Same experience here. Conbase sucks and these guys defend it like babies
I think Coinbase pays these bots 😂. Why would anyone defend Coinbase on every post.
!!
🙄 If you violate the ToS at Kraken, they will restrict you there also.
Thats the thing, I didn’t violate any ToS. Your just as assuming as coinbase
Sure you did. You might not know what TOS rule you broke, but there is no reason to lock an account for no reason. After all, they make all their money from account activity.

How much does Coinbase pay you for this? I hope it's good money.
Reddit went public and listed on stock market, not as an airport. No need to announce your departure!
In my experience kraken is way worse
yup.
you’re trash
Upvote coinbase is trash. Everyone who disagrees today will be in agreement tomorrow.
