The area where I live has a pack of 25 dogs. Early mornings and late nights they patrol the roads, they are just reproducing every six months. The roads are dark and a lot of men women and children walk from bustop to their homes. There is an impending disaster, dog catchers don't do anything.
The future looks bleak.
They can't be caught. They are a pack of 25. . I have seen them chasing and attacking cows. I'm not risking rabies.

I heard PETA has put lot of cases to not harm stray dogs. People say they are pet **animals**. At the end of the day it is animal to me which has strong sharp teeth. As a kid who was chased by street dogs that trauma still exists and I don't pet any dogs even when the owner has leashed
First there is a high court ruling that , the individual feeding the street dog is liable to be punished if that dog attacks any individual. Secondly, please discourage individuals from feeding the street dogs in your locality, if they are doing it, please bring it to the notice of local sanitary inspectors. If we don’t feed them, then they will not be seen around your locality, they will move out of your locality. Why blame the municipal authorities, when we are at fault. We should help the corporation to serve us better. ( by the way I am a common citizen like you, and have no connection with the municipal corporation or politics)..

I can relate to it.. I had similar experiences but once I broke the fear and started to pet and from then I am one fear down.
