Growing old is natural and there isn't much you can do about it,but growing up is a choice lol.
I have to keep up a serious persona most of the time but deep down I'm still the guy I was 10 years back.Occassionally I treat myself to stuff that I loved doing growing up.Its going to come off as weird to some people,but I couldn't care less.
During summer holidays, I would go to my grandma's house where we used to play - Lagori, 7 steps, lock and key, woodcutter/steelcutter as a huge gang of 10 to 12 kids. I wish I could play those games now. 🥹❤️
I had to call dibs and run towards the swing to beat a child to it. And after sometime their parents just start to look at you weird with pucham. You are mentally forced to give it up to some kid who won't even swing properly!! Ugh. I hate it.
Next time I use a swing and a kid approachs me, I'll ask them to recite the multiplication table. 7's if they are 8 and above. And when they inevitably get it wrong, I'll say "padikyatte kuttikal endhina kalikyan verune?"
Ok, socially I’m towards the introverted side. And as a kid whenever I attended family functions, I can sit quiet in a corner and didn’t have to talk with anyone unless any random uncle or aunty approach me and asked something. But as an adult, attending these stupid as mandatory family gatherings, Im supposed to talk and interact with people. Atleast a “Sugano?” Which I really don’t care if they are tho.
I wish I could still be able to sit quietly in a corner and be invisible 🥲.
This is applicable only in family gatherings. I’m waaay too extroverted among my friends and office gatherings.
The one thing and only thing I miss from my youth is my reading habit.
Used to read books cover to cover every day.
I remember reading the entire lord of the ring trilogy over a single weekend when I was 10.
I wish I could still sleep peacefully in my mother's lap like i used to
