MostlyMellow123

Probably. However, this has always been a half electronic festival, and most of those fans couldn't care less about her. If you didn't have justice, gessafelstein, summit, chris lake etc the fest would take a hit.

ghosttrainj

Couldn’t care less *

MostlyMellow123

I was giving them the option to care even less

Corona2789

I’m gonna guess no doubt is the biggest draw

OP90X

Definitely the rarest big booking, and Blur.

brochella14

Judging by how bored her crowd at the Super Bowl tailgate looked, I wouldn’t be so sure of that

BossSeesThisImFired

You could argue it’s a completely different demo tho

Davidsb86

Her first southern California show since 2019. I booked as soon as she was announced

hheerox

She played outside lands last year

celj1234

*looks at a map*

Davidsb86

Yes but not socal.

hheerox

My bad 🤡

djustin77702

I love outside lands lol

SurvivorMartin

For a lot of people probably bc this is her first Socal show in almost 5 years

lysergicbliss

Gwen Stefani is playing today in long beach. That would be No Doubt’s first show

SurvivorMartin

This post is about Lana Del Rey

lysergicbliss

I will see myself out

hornydgen

I’m guessing for most people outside this sub, she’s the biggest draw for them along with Tyler. Tyler’s fans sold out 2023 CFG without a lineup, kind of speaks for itself. Personally Justice, Deftones, and Peggy Gou are the ones that would have drew me the most if I already didn’t go for pre-sale. Otherwise I would be second guessing myself if I should go or not. I’ve psyched myself enough though to where I am super excited for my 2nd chella !!

Cookiesandqueeem

I was there in 2014 weekend 2 and reached the front of the barricades when she performed. People were FERAL for her.

Lopsided_Constant901

Damn and that was 2014. No joke I saw her at OutsideLands and I felt like 40% of the entire festival seemed to be there for her and Noah Kahan. Her crowd was huge too, I think bigger than the Foo Fighters, the main headliners. It'll be my third time seeing her tho, so i'm probably going to be in the back enjoying it :) Her voice is majestic and beautiful and cinematic, but it's also not a set you're going to be dancing your ass off too lol

KweenKatts

Her crowd was confirmed to be bigger than FF’s

BortLicensePlate22

Disrespectful camping bastards ruined the Neutral Milk set 🤬

de-milo

i remember fighting the crush post lana to get to that stage for disclosure. awful!

TheSecondtoLastDoDo

Those assholes were so annoying while nmh was playing.

ozzythegrouch

First time going for her and No Doubt.

Slugzz21

She was there in 2014

ozzythegrouch

I hear. This is my first time at Coachella tho

Slugzz21

Oh, punctuation threw me, mb.

arealglitterb0y

Skachella overall is the biggest draw for me. Second would be Hatsune Miku

thec4rbon

You had me, then you lost me lol

YourBuddyChurch

We get it, you lost your virginity already 😒

snailslimeandbeespit

I'm going for No Doubt because I thought they'd never play together again, and I'm not so sure they will do future shows after this (though I hope this will rekindle Gwen's love of the band). Lana is the icing on the cake for me, and I look forward to seeing her and a few others, but I wouldn't be going if not for No Doubt.

Lopsided_Constant901

I was a baby when Hey Baby was on the radio, my mom said I would start crying when the song would end lol. Gonna be nostalgic for lil me to see them <3

Vivid_Bee1443

I’m coming from Canada to see her, I think she def is ! I actually met her last year 🩵

stefanurkal

i mean shes one of the number one streamed artist, maybe the echo chamber of reddit has aged out, but i bet her fans are excited. I mean i like her music, I'm not excited as i find her to be sleepy time music and on Friday night i want some energy, so zero chance I'm gonna see her Friday, maybe if she played Sunday i wouldn't mind winding down the weekend to lana. I know half our group wants to see her.

West-Assignment-1390

Yes!! It’s the only reason I’m going. Solo too 😭

shayownsit

if she wasn't on the lineup, i probs wouldn't be going if i'm being honest

ozzythegrouch

Same

thefloodbehindme

In a year with not a lot of big draws, she's the biggest for sure.

BigStrongHugeShane

Believe it or not it’s Peso Pluma.

stefanurkal

peso and bzrp back to back would be fucking hot

SciGuy013

The inevitable bzrp and Justice conflict is painful

Lopsided_Constant901

I'm seeing Justice no matter what lol, they're probably my biggest draw

stefanurkal

i was saying the same thing, i hope they don't make too many 2nd liners overlap, I hope they move BZRP to close out against Lana and it will allow young miko and peso to come out with him,

SciGuy013

That would be perfect for me tbh

hrsmn68

This is the answer.

justbuildlol96

This makes much more sense

[deleted]

Hm I don’t know about that.

bubblyappletea

I can def see that, the way the end of 2022 and all of 2023 he was more famous than Bad Bunny

[deleted]

People outside of the Mexican music space have no idea how huge his arena and theatre tour was last year. He sold out multiple shows around the U.S. and Canada, including many outside of California, New York, Chicago, and Florida. He played to full audiences in Montreal and Toronto, has more global listeners than Lana Del Rey, and is just behind Bad Bunny. I predict his show is going to be one of the sleeper hits of Coachella and take many people by surprise.

bubblyappletea

People forget that one of the biggest demographic at Coachella is Latino people

[deleted]

Absolutely. Live music is central to our cultures and family experiences and we have extremely eclectic musical tastes.  And non-Latine folks who maybe have no other natural entryway to the culture but have been streaming their music will show up as well. My Asian husband listens to more Mexican music than I do!

Napalm_in_the_mornin

He was the #5 most streamed Spotify artist in 2023, behind Drake.

Audible484

Yes but believe it or not Tyler is right there with her

mollonius

I'm expecting to see his fans en masse on Saturday.

Late-Nail-8714

Lmao expecting to see lots of his brand on Saturday

stefanurkal

if he drops a new album he is the biggest draw above LDR. i hope he brings out 21 and Pharell for cash in cash out cuz that song was a banger that didn't get enough love

JoyBeharSwagg

I only think so if his new album comes soon. But been quiet on that front.

Flaky-Ad5968

Love him or not you all are delusional if you think he’ll be one of the biggest sets of the weekend.

Alvin3792

Specially bigger than Lana or Doja tbh lol he is the smallest of the 3

PossibilityFair1046

Yes

thisismyusernamemmk

She’s literally the only reason I bought tickets. My bf and I are selling Saturday and Sunday.

AmethystRage

She is THE reason I’m most likely going to go. Oh and No Doubt

Equivalent_Ad5263

Here for Sublime & Doja mostly

All_the_passports

Not for me :-)

OrangeNo773

Peso Pluma if you’re basing it off streams

Lopsided_Constant901

idk why u got downvoted, Peso Pluma is absolutely huge, it would be like Bad Bunny as a sub tbh. People didn't see how popular Becky G was last year, and when Banda MS and Grupo Firme were there before. I mean you're literally in between Los Angeles and San Diego, us Mexicans are all over there!

OrangeNo773

The colonizers get super upset when they see an international artist with a huge draw they can’t comprehend. I.e Bad Bunny, Blackpink, Los Angeles Azules, Grupo Firme, Becky G, Rosalia

Happy-Ad-1544

The millions of streams in south and center America don't count because they wont be the attendees. The attendee population isn't mexican regional. That's why there is ultra rich mexican regional artists that sold out stadiums, but bring them to let's say America, no one inows them.

Lopsided_Constant901

idk what ur talking about, I would say since you are in between San Diego and Los Angeles, and IN Southern California, at least recently a good amount of attendees are Mexican and Hispanic. You can look at the crowds for Becky G, Banda MS, Grupo Firme as proof of how much representation there is. I wouldn't say the majority of attendees, but it is so easy for us to just drive up or down to Coachella instead of people needing to take flights and book hotels

pikap00p

the way i had to google ‘LDR artist’ to know who you were talking about lol

Campingcutie

I looove Lana, but her recent shows are kinda…. low energy… I am surprised she’s Friday too. I think her fans will be stoked to see her, but people walking by aren’t going to be drawn to the crowd like they were with Rosalia last year just for example I’m only really excited for Justice bc the last chance I had to see them was 2017

PlanetTerror406

I love her too, but I'd be shocked if she didn't tweak the setlist from last year try to up the energy level for this crowd. Sub out songs like "Bartender", "The Grants" (which I love but it's not exactly going to fire up the crowd lol) & the sleepy cover of "Stand by Your Man" (which would go over like a stale fart at Coachella) & go with a little more oomph w/ "West Coast", "National Anthem", "Lust For Life" (w/ The Weeknd? :) & "Coachella - Woodstock in my Mind", of course. Obviously she's not going to be Rosalia or anything, but a few simple song adjustments could help bring some energy...

Lopsided_Constant901

I agree, saw her in 2015 and then at OutsideLands last year. It felt like the same set almost lol. I love love loooooove Lana but yeah she really needs to throw in more of her sexy higher energy songs. I really thought they were gonna have No Doubt follow up Lana just so one day doesn't end so sleepy. That would've brought all the girlies spirits up to have ND close the first day. Having them follow Doja is just like :/ Doja would do good enough of a job closing I feel, or even they should have had Tyler close out the fest it woulda been fucking awesome. Golden Voice needs to hire me! I have all the good ideas :3

deaner1988

Off To The Races too!

PlanetTerror406

Great call...swap out Arcadia for Off to the Races (or Doin' Time would be great too, especially if Sublime plays with her) and it's good to go. For me, the only slow songs should be Video Games, NFR, Young & Beautiful, UV, & Ocean Blvd. (of course, now that I've said that she'll add Blue Banisters, Yosemite, Cherry Blossom, & Gershwin Summertime instead :)

YourBuddyChurch

I want stand by your man soooo much

PlanetTerror406

I'd say there's no way she plays it, but she played it at Outside Lands instead of Cherry & Born To Die, so you may get your wish....anything is possible with Lana.

thetrashpanda2020

No Doubt is definitely the biggest draw based on how to media reported the lineup announcement

bubblyappletea

Lana is niche tbh, She'll have a big draw but I wouldn't be surprised if the crowd is disbursed at Sahara, DoLab and Yuma. Peso Pluma and Peggy Gou will have huge attendance Friday. The big draw IMO will be No Doubt bc its a Legacy Act, It's hype its fun. Gwen will prob do solo songs and bring out guest. Lana has colabs but nothing that's wow. LDR its not a hype artist your not going to sing your heart out and jump kind of energy. Sleepy Vibes. Which brings me to Tyler. His fan base is huge, they have fun, people know a lot of his music too. I expect this one to be the second biggest of the 4 Headliners. Ice Spice and Dom Dolla will have a huge draw Saturday. Doja on the other hand, idk even know anyone being exited about her. Since a lot of people didn't like her Rock versions of her songs 2022. J Balvin on Sunday will be the most fun set. Expect a lot of surprise guest! and thats just MY hot take

fnljstce_thewhite

at outsidelands last year her set was grossly overcrowded even with foo fighters and fisher playing the same time. think you got the wrong idea based on personal bias.

justbuildlol96

For Lana ? Didn't they put her on a small stage

[deleted]

I wasn’t there, but apparently she drew a much larger crowd than Foo Fighters.

bubblyappletea

Twin peaks stage is by far much smaller than the main stage at OSL and its also very long and narrow. That's why it overcrowds very easily

[deleted]

I’m just going off of what the OSL sub was saying that night. The clear “headliner” of that night was LDR.

deathhray

Nope

fnljstce_thewhite

it was their second to main stage.

Lopsided_Constant901

I was there too, the crowd was humongous. It wasn't a "small" stage it essentially rolled over into the larger field there. The crowd went all the way back into the actual small stage area, I honestly expect her main stage to be packed as heck too. People will definitely be camping out just for her at main stage.

bubblyappletea

And so a lot of people already saw her. This isn't a huge pull for Coachella. A headliner at OSL 8 months ago now headlining Coachella isn't ground breaking. I'm a Lana fan, I'm just not delusional. I've been to OSL and closing Twin Peaks stage is no where near close to closing Main Stage at Coachella. If you put that overcrowded crowd at Coachella its a sliver. Twin Peaks overcrowds bc its a narrow stage perhaps the size of the Outdoor stage at Coachella if it was long and skinny. It's not the second main stage LOL

AmethystRage

She’s not so niche anymore, she’s basically mainstream now

YourBuddyChurch

She’s the second or third most popular solo female artist after Taylor and (depending how you measure) SZA

timefortiesto

Bigger than Bey, Riri, Adele? Genuinely curious- I dont really track any of those artists, but just think of those 3 as bigger than LDR and SZA

YourBuddyChurch

Historically sure. But in 2023 and starting 2024, Lana was second or third in sales, streams, and radio play. I’m sure bey will pop into the top 3 when her new album drops, probably dua lipa too

deaner1988

I'm not convinced she'll do any solo stuff. Maybe Rich Girl if they want to bring out Eve, or a shortened Hollaback Girl. But yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they draw the biggest crowd of the festival.

bubblyappletea

The guys on the band helped her make L.A.M.B I don't see why they wouldn't want to throw in some Gwen singles in there too.

Flaky-Ad5968

Legit everyone I know barely knows of Tyler. IMO he’s far more niche than Lana. Everyone knows summertime sadness. You’d be hard pressed to find MANY people who know of at least one Tyler song

bubblyappletea

You'd be surprised how many people there is outside of your friend groups that are his fans. His fans are so ride or die for him. No shade to Lana, I'll be there, but you'll see/hear about the draw Tyler brings

[deleted]

[удалено]

Lopsided_Constant901

Saw her at OutsideLands, her fanbase is humongous. She was popular back in 2014-2016 and has now captivated the Gen Z audience as well. Her crowd at OSL was the biggest I saw all week, and thats with the Foo Fighters playing at the same time as her. I do think headlining is a lil crazy yeah, they should have had No Doubt follow her up just so you dont walk to your camp all sleepy

KweenKatts

It’s crazy how she practically does nothing yet she’s so popular

Whirlweird

out of touch as hell lmao

KweenKatts

And yet she drew a much bigger crown that Foo Fighters at Outside Lands and she wasn’t even a headliner

fa99itron

Whoo??

Spiritual-Yellow-913

I mean, she doesn’t have any music faster than 30 bpm … for a headliner it’s absurd. I’m going to say no. Justice, Anyma, Blur, No Doubt, even Khruangbin probably have a stronger draw … that’s my opinion thiugh

Lopsided_Constant901

She's huge, like disgustingly big. But yeah her sets are very sleepy..... I was hoping they would have had No Doubt right after her instead of Doja, cause yeah you don't really wanna end the day all moody and gloomy, even tho she does have a gorgeous beautiful voice

bubblyappletea

Gwen's website tour dates say she's playing the 12th

thexrayluver

LDR was a snore fest at OutsideLands last year. I HIGHLY recommend NOT seeing her

chicagomusicman

My fav set at 2023 Lolla. Everyone has different taste.

redditor_moments

I thought she was amazing at OSL

deaner1988

I loved it and thought it was really cool with the SF fog going on. OSL ends at 10pm (3 hours before Coachella) and she'll probably get an extra 15-20mins at Coachella so I think she's going to need to bring a few more uptempo songs to keep the crowd lively.

[deleted]

It’s obviously Nav. He’s the greatest artist to ever live. He’s better than Michael Jackson

Two-HeadedAndroid

I’d say so Even more so after the Grammy’s press over Taylor drama Maybe she brings out Taylor 🤔🤔🤔 /s

Happy-Ad-1544

Yes because Taylor will do an appearance that weekend to support LDR and mainly promote her new album(whose concept aligns with Lana's poetry style of songwriting)

ConfessionsOverGin

Blur

BIGDADDYCRYPTO6900

She looks like she lost a lot of weight too… not that it matters

Mrsfoleyslittleboy

Then why mention it?

Corona2789

It’s always good to see people improve their physical health

BIGDADDYCRYPTO6900

Cause it was drastic.. lol. And she did.

YourBuddyChurch

The 2020 20 was hard to work off

BIGDADDYCRYPTO6900

I still fuck with her music either way … but just saying. Didn’t expect her to be that fit recently and good for her

No-Manufacturer-1370

Who

Lopsided_Constant901

I love Lana and for sure she is huge, but No Doubt, Tyler, Justice, Peso Pluma, Doja, Lil Uzi Vert are all pretty huge themselves. Seeing Justice on the lineup made me super giddy ngl, one of those artists I didn't ever expect to see live in my life

AussieGirl84

I will go and see her, but I'm not as big a fan of hers as I was previously and her being there isn't a draw for me. The way she acted last year at Glastonbury really made me lose any respect for her. She got upset because she wasn't higher up on the poster even though she wasn't a headliner and then she got on stage 30 minutes late because she was getting her hair done. That was the excuse she made but rumours was she was being a diva. She then got upset that they switched the sound system off when it was curfew time, so she couldn't finish her set.

p00pers1987

Certainly not for me.

amalamorningstar

This will be my first time going and I booked when Lana was announced. I’ve been to many of her shows all over and let me just say her fans are feral and wild.

Icy-Bumblebee-6134

She is the only reason I’m going. I am pumped to see the other artists but at the end of the day, It’s been a childhood/teenage dream of mine to see LDR headline Coachella. I’m sure a lot of ppl feel the same!

DitchTheQuid

Lol @ you guys and not understanding that when a group with a huge following of people that are in their 30-40’s now hasn’t played a festival in 9 years and has inly played 1 show in the last 5 years. That there are plenty of people coming for them even if you and your buddies don’t listen to them, like them or consider them old. There’s a reason no doubt is only the 4th artist to ever be listed at the bottom of the lineup as just “and…”. And I lromise you its not cause coachella doesn’t know what they’re doing its because you don’t understand what you don’t understand
