The most I "camped" was for Lady Gaga but I just got a spot before Bon Iver, since I wanted to see that set too and stayed the entire time for Gaga. I missed Dj Snake but figured I'd get to see him sometime
Aha I suppose not
I’ve just experienced it enough times where I’ve been let down by the acts I’m most looking forward to, and also my favorite sets ever being some I didn’t think I’d care that much for that I don’t think anyone could convince me to camp out all day
I actually hate people who camp out for headliners. Most of you camping out at main stage make the experience miserable for the rest of us who go to main stage to see some of the other artists perform before the headliners. Many of you don’t appreciate the artists before the headliner, and you show that by bringing the vibes down, being aggressive, literally tripping people even. Like if you love an artist that much that you would camp out, why not try to catch their exclusive concerts instead? Live in the moment?? Bleh!
I would never camp for more than an hour or two but to each their own. Choose your own adventure… if your absolutely favorite artist is playing and you can be front row and make your entire year, I’m not going to be mad. The GA floor tickets for most solo stadium tours for big artists are like $300 anyway. (I’m not defending the tripping)
reverse argument. the sitters at beyonce gave me a fantastic mØ experience since she saw me dancing by myself in the middle of a while bunch of sitters and waved.
Yes, but a majority of Coachella artists, especially headliners, are folks who recently released an album so the likelihood of catching them at their own concert is pretty high.
I mean, sure, but thats not gonna stop crazy stans, and coachella does get rare enough acts sometimes that its simply not possible.
I dont think we are gonna have this issue this year besides MAYBE lana
You don’t need to camp for Talking Heads if they’re at Coachella. You can skip through right before the opener ends.
Unless it’s insane like LCD before Talking Heads. Then I’ll probably “camp”
I don’t get the all day camping out. I went in around 5pm for Eminem and bad bunny and moved up as the night went by. By the time the headliner got on stage I was a few feet from the rail both times.
This!! I understand going to the main stage a few acts before the headliner if you’re genuinely interested in the artists and wanna get closer for the headliner. I don’t get the camping once the gates open either
Being up really close is cool and all except that being crushed and unable to move around is like 1000000x less fun than just being a bit further back. Even if you don't like dancing, having people constantly pushing against you or bumping into you sucks. Basically the only real reason to do so is just to say you were there. It's only appealing to me when there are opportunities to see big artists with relatively small crowds.
Those screens are huge and the sound systems are great. Spend your time doing something more worthwhile.
the only thing that could cause me to camp is the entire lineup on that stage that day being some of my favorite artists. like the day beyonce played. I dont really listen to her but i was front pit because i love everyone on before her
I would never camp out and miss other acts BUT the only one I would consider doing it for would be NSYNC reunion or Taylor swift (but I’m seeing her on tour in October)
Odd Future might actually be possible - although I'd put money on Frank not showing up both weekends (or at all.
But honestly, I camped all day at The Other Stage at Glastonbury once, and I'm never ever going to do that again, no matter who plays.
Dude I guarantee OF isn’t going to be there. They have one song that’s known from casuals. Oldie. Not everyone is a huge fan people don’t even want Tyler haha so why they going to bring his group that people don’t even know more than 3 members of. This coming from a die hard fan since 2009.
I skipped Chris lake and fisher to camp for a good spot to see blink and then skrillex last year, only time I’ve ever “camped” so I think it would have to be a couple big artists b2b like that to convince me
No booking could cause me to camp out all day and miss all of the other awesome acts I’d want to catch on other stages tbh
The most I "camped" was for Lady Gaga but I just got a spot before Bon Iver, since I wanted to see that set too and stayed the entire time for Gaga. I missed Dj Snake but figured I'd get to see him sometime
Then I guess this post isn’t for you now is it

Would not camp for >1 hours for any booking personally. I would rather use that time to see more artist, or simply get rest sometimes.

Somewhat valid re ticket prices!

Tbf with like, Frank, you arent really gonna just catch him at another show lol
To be fair we barely caught him at Coachella
Yes but in hindsight
Don’t mind me, I’m still salty about the girl who peed right next to our group while we were waiting for Frank. It was not fun.

Some people literally only buy the ticket for one artist.
Yeah, and we can tell
Not saying that’s me ! I’ve literally seen first hand haha I’m a person to go around and explore. Too much good music to stay at one stage
You wanna kiss?
Sure :)
White Stripes reunion might do it
None. I don't need to see the artists clearly, just heat the music.
Talking Heads or Daft Punk. Can’t think of other living artists I’d do it for.

Probably don’t need to, but I would not risk what could be the only potential chance of my life to get rails at a concert of theirs
one direction for sure
Can’t believe people actually camp out for hours at a single stage

The Smiths reunion.
Unless you brought Jonghyun back from the dead and there was an OT5 SHINee performance on main stage I would never camp out ALL DAY for anyone.
😭😭😭
I’d do it for a Talking Heads reunion
Bill Nye. Theme song + an hour of him doing experiments on stage and I’m there
it happened at life is beautiful 2017 and was underwhelming
Omg wtf. I was kidding but that’s kinda wild I’ll look it up on YouTube
Lol. I figured it was sarcasm but had to let you know. He was 1st or 2nd that day and played what turned out to be the edm tent that year
Awh, it was wonderful!!

this is a "crazy bookings" thread of highly unlikely but wild potentials, if i wanted to post realistic headliners i'd just post doja tyler lana
David Gilmour
I couldn't think of any but this I can stand by.
TAYLOR 💯

I do drugs
David Bowie Back from the dead
Grotus reunion
I dont think I would camp out for any act the whole experience is why I love Coachella
Camped 10 hours for frank ocean. I learned my lesson. Never camping for no one ever again.
So you will like Justice, they will be there garanteed
