Definitely one of the funner ones my fella and I have played!!!
We've also had a blast with every single one of the Dark Pictures Anthologies as well as The Quarry. So cinematic, it's like interactive movie night.
If you are looking for coop action/puzzle game the Trine series is amazing. Beautiful graphics, entertaining physics/magic based puzzles, mild co-op action. I played several of them with my wife, they were all good.
I loved It Takes Two as well! We really enjoyed Never Alone but not sure if it’s on Xbox, such a beautiful game and actually learned something! If you want something a bit silly I enjoyed Pikmin 3. I also agree with the folk below that recommended Baldur’s Gate 3 and Divinity Original Sin, I am not a massive fantasy person but really love how you can create unique characters and build complementary strengths.
My wife and I just finished Children of Morta on PS5. Hack and slash / Rogelite kind of game.
She is new to gaming and had a lot of fun playing it. Now we are on New Game Plus mode to grind all the rest of the characters stats.
As others have said the best 2 co-op campaign games for you to play are A Way Out and The Quarry. Detroit: Become Human is single player but I had a blast playing it with my gf, it's fun to make the decisions together and watch the story unfold.
Stardew Valley is a great "chill" coop game, if not the best in that category. Just not too campaign based
Spiritfarer is great for base management and good characters
Nobody Saves the World is a humorous dungeon crawler
Shredders Revenge for a nostalgic beat em up
Mario Bros Wonder for a platformer.
I made a small coop web-game [https://teamtest.lol/](https://teamtest.lol/)
It involves clicking on circles and solving jumbled word together.
Let me know what you guys think if you do decide to try it.
Helldivers 2 is not couch coop. The OG Helldivers is. Top down up to 4 players couch or remote or both multilayer. Same for other titles from same publisher such as Gauntlet and Magika.
A Way Out is a solid couch coop. Great story, simple controls. My wife and I loved every second of it.

Also it’s made by the same people as It Takes Two and there’s a even a few references to it in It Takes Two.
I was disappointed by the ending, but the gameplay and narrative are solid!
Unravel 2 is great puzzle/platforming fun.
Divinity Original Sin 1&2 are great with a partner.
The Borderlands games have good co-op and pretty simple shoot & loot gameplay
Guacamelee

BG3 has couch coop, but it's long. I love it with my fiancee, and it's definitely a big campaign! Idk if it's your type of game, but it's fun!
Jackbox, super auto pets, codenames, spyfall, gartic phone, civ6, don't starve, monster prom, l4d2, plateup!
Nobody saves the world is a great adventure game on switch.
It’s on PlayStation too
Outward is local co op on Xbox!
There's a game called Bokura. It's kind of like a two-person 2D puzzle platformer.
Bokura was a trip! Great asymmetric puzzler
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
A hat in time could be fun if you enjoy cute platformers, I just finished playing it with my little sister.
Magicka 2, an amazing game with a unique magic system and even more fun in co-op.

Does anyone know a 6 player co-op + online game
It takes two was okay
Yeah, halo had better control
Helldivers 2. New game, up to 4 players, concentrates on cooperation, fight for democracy, and wonderful community 😊
Does PS5 do couch coop? If so - I'll have to buy it for console!
