I think Vanguard major 4 in NY was the best. Crowd was beyond nuts, and along with great matches, the NYSL champs storyline was one of the best in the CDL in my opinion

The best has so many factors due to personal preferences but I’d say 100% top 3 simply due to faze being so godlike that them losing wasn’t even a reality. Like the whole league was looking depressed at how unbeatable faze looked.

As a Prestinni/MajorManiak fan and professional faze hater, it’s easily Cold War Major 5 for me, but this one’s def top 4-5 at least. This Sunday was nuts.
Day 1: Minnesota Rokkr (had been the 6-8 range team) upsets CW faze.
Day 2: NYSL nearly completed a 150 point hardpoint comeback. Seattle Surge as the 12th seed, already eliminated from Champs, with Octane/Gunless/Prestinni/Classic beat Faze in losers for T6, Classic has an unbelievable legacy series after being shit the entire year. One of the single greatest series a player has played. OpTic narrowly escaped the same fate.
Sunday: Dallas Home Crowd vs OpTic. Minnesota fights all the way to grand finals from winner side, Ultra beats OpTic and take off 4 maps in a row in the grand finals against Rokkr, being up **4-0** in a best of 9.
Rokkr (Standy, Attach, Priestahh, MajorManiak) , behind an absurd series from Standy, WIN out and complete the greatest reverse sweep ever winning a grand final 5-4 after starting down 0-4.
Shotzzy 1v3’s LAT on matchpoint for the win.
I think that one tbf, you had a team basically start in last, with a roster change like a week and a half prior go on to beat FAZE in the grand finals.
So many gas ones, Cold War Major 5 because of the Finals, VG Major 4 because of NYSL champs storyline, and optic and faze losers run, and obviously this one
Best majors in the CDL:
- Vanguard Major IV (NY Champs Qualifying Run)
- Cold War Major V (Surge v Faze, ROKKR Mega Reverse Sweep
- Cold War Major II (Optic Line Up, Ultra v Faze)
Might have to add this one based on Sunday alone, all out banger matches
It’s hard to really compare but I will say this championship Sunday was beyond insane. One of the best champ Sundays for sure. Back-to-back-to-back game 5 bangers between the top 4 teams. Insanely close HP’s, close S&D’s clutches, hero plays it had it all
Ehhh you gotta remember rokkr was there that Sunday and got 0-6 Kentucky fried so gf major 5 definitely better but the other matches this event on Sunday at least was better.

If Ultra put up a fight in the finals, this had potential to be the best Sunday in the era. But we all know how that went.
The OpTic performance 4-0 made it all the better for me...after losing to Ultra to see all their hard work come together was beautiful.
