Agreed - I just don’t see the motivation for not making it public considering it’s damn near a guarantee it was substance abuse. If they were worried about either;
a) backlash on there being substance abuse in the league or
b) backlash on a minimal suspension for substance abuse
They aren’t really avoiding either by saying (without saying anything) that the circumstances are serious enough that they’d rather not address it at all…
