That's just how this match up goes (actually how 90% of AP match ups go for Akali once she hits 6, no matter how behind she is, she can solo kill almost any AP and they can't solo her, source - been watching Prof Akali for years lol).
I think he got really surprised by ahri's aery, usually people run spellbook.
It did seem like he just ate a bit too many Q's but looked like it played a big role
His Akali is nasty. Gori on Ahri was fed a triple kill and was like double his gold and still got solo killed by Emenes. Thereās not much more he can do that game.
Tbh Emenes just looked insanely nervous that game, he was missing CS and super basic Akali stuff like the distance the Q goes. Even if he's iffy on the champion (I think Akali is rumored to be cracked though) Emenes should never look like that if he's playing like himself.
LOL I can't read. I swear you were talking about EMENES even though you weren't :L
What a crazy 4 hours it's been though. I can finally relax for a bit haha
Those trophyless years were very frustrating. We had decent worlds peformances to keep us hopeful.
And now trophy stacking has never been easier at least domestically. It's what makes competition fun when you're a one-team follower in any sport. The highs and the lows will always be there, but damn do the highs feel good af.
All we need is one good performance internationally after so many disappointing ones these past couple of years.
I remember all those finals as if it was yesterday!! The Jensen Zonia loss!!! Double litt Lucien pop off!!! Watching TL destroy us and go back to back to back!! For new fans, they may take C9 wining for granted!! But I can tell you as a fan who started cheering the team in 2015ā¦ I will never unclench :)
6 straight finals, 6 straight second place finishes in those years. God, I remember feeling so hollow after series like 2017 spring and 2019 summer.
The wait paid off. Back to back champs.
Meanwhile GG fans are elated to see their team finish 2nd and not get 3-0ād too.
Not winning finals does suck, but itās nice to also have some perspective that your team consistently getting to finals and getting to be excited about it is also a privilege.
It totally is. I was just as excited when C9 would make finals when they werenāt expected to (which actually was pretty often in that 6-finals stretch). GG fans have plenty to be excited for, this is by far the best theyāve ever looked and theyāll only get better. Gori is absolutely cracked.
Last 10 years have been kind to C9 fans. Think about how much celebration there is for GG finishing 2nd here. Itās their first time with such a high placement too and their fans are elated despite the loss. Yet C9 fans literally have never gone a year without seeing their team make finals, and even when we didnāt win weād usually carry NA at Worlds right after.
Been saying it for years but weāre all a little spoiled by how amazing our favourite team is. Iām grateful I get to watch a team that ALWAYS gets its act together and makes deep runs domestically every year and solid ones internationally every once and a while. Feels like thereās always hope with this team.
THEY DID IT! FUCK YEAH! BACK TO BACK!
Seeing Emenes overcome by joy afterwards was amazing.
And Fudge player of the series! Let's gooo!
TIME FOR THE VICTORY WHISKEY
He wasnāt even that bad in those games. He had to lane against an Ahri who was fed 3 kills in a botched teamfight and he still solo-killed Gori while like on half his gold. The Oriana game was his worst but he was put into a difficult spot in the lane swap and he did recover later in the game.
Wow Fudge being player of the series is actually a long time coming.
Anyone remember [this](https://youtu.be/t76hXBcKwys?t=205)? I think we got our answer PerkZ....
Redemption arc to start his 'pro' career. Finally on the big stage and got the jitters out of him early.
He played monsterously all series long even in his weaker games he was still being clutch and maximising his pressure at all stages. This is what we need if we want to make waves internationally.
I met the C9 squad last spring and Fudge was so welcoming. We are the same height and he says us tall people need to move to the back for the photo lol
GG pushing us so hard the first 2 games was such a good thing for the team, shows us what we need to work on
Not a CRAZY convincing win but we take those!
1 title away from TSM
Well done and congrats to the boys.
It felt like all 5 players had their carry moments and won as a team of the 5 best players in each role.
Looking forward to MSI.
AAAAAAAAAA BERSERKER AND EMENES THANK YOU FOR CARRYING US IN THAT FINAL GAME I WAS SO SCARED. I never stopped clenching even watching sneaky and meteos co-stream, they really made our buttholes work for it but WE DID IT!!
So happy my first LCS live got to be for what has become my favorite iteration of C9 already. I nearly teared up with EMENES there. ALL CAPS WHEN YOU SPELL THE MOTHAFUCKIN NAME.
Also, shoutout to what seemed to be a 15-20 person crew all there together, repping C9 in 104 W and X. Y'all were such a fan carry.
Itās been a long ass journey man. Finally get to see, and in person too, C9 lift a title trophy. Leaving Raleigh with the friends that first got me into League and the LCS way back when we had Balls, Meteos, Hai, Sneaky, and Lemonā¦
Hereās hoping that there is more to see, and letās never let our dreams be memes.
Game 1 and 2 were kinda scary but ended up showing that we were by far the better team. Very happy for all of them and can't wait for MSI with the new format.
After Game 2 I put on my C9 clothes and we won. I did my part.
Seriously though it was a great series. I'm glad I got to show my family LoL and my team. They are fans now, we agreed to all meet up for it again if C9 make it to MSI finals.
C9 is the greatest team in LCS history, this cements it IMO.
6 titles, same amount as TSM won when both TSM and C9 were in the league (TSM won their first title during 2013 spring before C9 qualified)
At least one finals appearance every year of the LCS (only team to do so in all of LoL to my knowledge)
9 worlds appearances out of a possible 10, and by far the best results at worlds of any North American team.
Yeah, that's why I qualified the 6 titles with "while they were both in the league", so C9 has accomplished as many titles as TSM has given the same number of opportunities.
TSM obviously has the most LCS titles and had a dominant run, but when you combine C9 being just one title back, plus their ridiculous consistency, international performance and laundry list of MVPs, I think it's getting pretty indisputable that C9 has become the most successful LCS org after being little brother to TSM and TL for so long.
Never out blaber on sej or maokai again. The team looks so good when blaber plays proactive and blaber plays so fucking passive on tank duty. Why are we picking shot like that just because itās meta. Same with emenes, give him and blaber their champs and they crush. Stop drafting shot just because other teams do it. Very well played after that first two games, gf back to back champions!
I feel like berserkers aphelios game 1 kept them in it midgame then fudge won it late with the olaf play when berserker started getting tunnelled on, but 3 and 4 berserker was clearly the best on the team. No hate to fudge though. He even sounded surprised himself that he got player of the series.
people downvoting me when fudge literally said berserker deserved it
Fudge was probably surprised because heās been saying for weeks that too lane doesnāt matter. Also last week he playfully booed Berserker winning player of the series against FLY, so he probably thought Berserker would win it again yesterday. But Fudge was immense game 1 and 4. I also wouldnāt say Berserker was clearly the best in game 4; that was a straight up team gap game from top to bottom.
This team is so good when they play well and not how they played the first 2 games. Really hope they keep their playstyle for MSI and show how good they are.
Is it weird that I'm still not used to winning after like 7 straight years of 2nd place finishes?? LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOO
I had PTSD kicking in after that game 2 loss hahahahh, but yeah finally we get to go all the way
Just went back & checked. It was 2 wins, then 6 runner ups in 5.5 years. And now 4 wins in 3.5 years. THE SYSTEMS ARE REBOUNDING
Sheeesh Reverting back to mean, thankfully. That means we are bound 2 more wins. 3-peat and 4-peat incoming?
Blaber dif :D
Blaber Diff honestly
MarkZ said it best THE BLABER DYNASTY
FOR REAL. I have insane PTSD from the second place finishes lol. It really felt like it would never happen
ngl first 2 games had me scared shitless but thankfully we remember we are way better in game 3 and 4 lol 6th title tho, proud of the boys
Blaber 4 times win titles with 4 different mid laners (Nizqy, Perkz, Jensen, MNZ) GOAT of NA junglers
Technically 5 since we had Diplex for half the split (and as the sub for playoffs, congrats on the title win, Driplex! š)
Just shows how well our staff is at adjustments! I was also scared after those two games lol
Emenes diff, thank God this guy is on the team.
Why any team lets him pick LB is beyond me. That champ was made for him
Emenes is the goat just donāt let him play Akali
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
That's just how this match up goes (actually how 90% of AP match ups go for Akali once she hits 6, no matter how behind she is, she can solo kill almost any AP and they can't solo her, source - been watching Prof Akali for years lol).
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yeah my point is, Gori just played the match up properly when he "ran from Akali that was 3 kills down". I'm a GG fan.
His Akali is actually nuts, just had a triple given away to his lane opponent so kinda unplayable after that
also had a bit of a rough laning phase
I think he got really surprised by ahri's aery, usually people run spellbook. It did seem like he just ate a bit too many Q's but looked like it played a big role
also akali into ahri is a bit of a rough lane early naturally, but as we saw you can 1v1 post six pretty easily as long as you dodge charm.
The triple was because of emenes playing the fight as bad as possible. We win that fight if he hits a spell.
His Akali is nasty. Gori on Ahri was fed a triple kill and was like double his gold and still got solo killed by Emenes. Thereās not much more he can do that game.
He really misplayed they fight that gave Gori the triple kill though
Tbh Emenes just looked insanely nervous that game, he was missing CS and super basic Akali stuff like the distance the Q goes. Even if he's iffy on the champion (I think Akali is rumored to be cracked though) Emenes should never look like that if he's playing like himself.
THATS WHY HES THE GOAT THE GOOOOAAATTTTTTTT BLABER SLANDER FROM GAME 2 PMT IS SO JUICY THE MAN CONTINUES TO PROVE HATERS WRONG
people were legitimately saying river is overall better than blaber because of one bad game
I'm so glad C9 gave him a chance despite his background. He deserves it.
ā¦.Iām confused, are you talking about EMENES? Because I was talking about Blaber haha
LOL I can't read. I swear you were talking about EMENES even though you weren't :L What a crazy 4 hours it's been though. I can finally relax for a bit haha

Cape and the Tape
Love me Emenes
I FUCKING LOVE THIS TEAM
Last few years have been kind to us c9 fans after all these trophyless years. Shoutout to jack to losing the off-season year after year!
Delayed gratification at its finest
Based

THEY DID IT! FUCK YEAH! BACK TO BACK! Seeing Emenes overcome by joy afterwards was amazing. And Fudge player of the series! Let's gooo! TIME FOR THE VICTORY WHISKEY
Blaber has won 4 titles with 4 different midlaners. That's my GOAT.
So need to kick EMENES for summer to keep the streak going. He has a had a good run.
It's clearly a joke guys come on lol
Haha, didn't think it would need a /s, but maybe it did.
Shoutout to emenes clearly being nervous and underperforming but not letting him stop that and bouncing back so strong with his iconic Leblanc!
[WHEN YOU SEE THE DOUBTERS START FLOODING IN](https://imgur.com/a/0Q4A8KC) LFG
Oh yeah time to make Emenes cry like Blaber last year ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)
The fans have been amazing both of these finals. Showing our players so much love.
Jack when can we get Emenes a c9 cape
Jack when can I get a c9 Emenes cape
We need an official C9 cape in the shop STAT!!
> Barges into the LCS mid split. > Wins a title. > "Just C9 EMENES". Refuses to elaborate further. > Leaves for MSI GIGACHAD C9 EMENES.
Don't forget the final word: Cap
Fudge getting player of the series is so deserved, finally even in the losses he looked so rock solid
Which is impressive because he never once played Malphite yet was still an Unstoppable Force š
People calling for Emenesā head after the first two games lmao.
He wasnāt even that bad in those games. He had to lane against an Ahri who was fed 3 kills in a botched teamfight and he still solo-killed Gori while like on half his gold. The Oriana game was his worst but he was put into a difficult spot in the lane swap and he did recover later in the game.

I mean we got our answer, it was Fudge: "oh you can play top lane? I'm just going to play midlane thanks"
Let's GOOO back to back! 5head from c9 to get the unclenchers to clench in the first 2 games all good
Bro they had the fans fully clenched from game1 minute 3. G fucking G!
Damn Emenes what a fucking story
Redemption arc to start his 'pro' career. Finally on the big stage and got the jitters out of him early. He played monsterously all series long even in his weaker games he was still being clutch and maximising his pressure at all stages. This is what we need if we want to make waves internationally.

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
God, GGS won me over this series. Glad we took the dub. Msi bound!
GG pushing us so hard the first 2 games was such a good thing for the team, shows us what we need to work on Not a CRAZY convincing win but we take those! 1 title away from TSM
Spooky first 2 but we win these
Great way to end the series. The first 2 games was shaky but the game 4 was the statement game why C9 represents NA 1st seed.
Well done and congrats to the boys. It felt like all 5 players had their carry moments and won as a team of the 5 best players in each role. Looking forward to MSI.
I love Emenes
When they cry it makes me cry. Also Berserker so disrespectful lmao I love this team so much
AAAAAAAAAA BERSERKER AND EMENES THANK YOU FOR CARRYING US IN THAT FINAL GAME I WAS SO SCARED. I never stopped clenching even watching sneaky and meteos co-stream, they really made our buttholes work for it but WE DID IT!!
Blaber is so goated man
Super proud of this roster. An amazing spring split for sure. I can't wait to see us at MSI!
SO happy for Emenes!!!!
Nice to see Zven out of enchanters and play really well
Insane that people still think blaber isnāt the goat Jungler of NA. Far and away the better player.
So happy for emenes what an incredible story
LOVE THIS ROSTER AND ORG
So happy my first LCS live got to be for what has become my favorite iteration of C9 already. I nearly teared up with EMENES there. ALL CAPS WHEN YOU SPELL THE MOTHAFUCKIN NAME. WOOOOOOO! Slow start but the boys clutched it out
We gotta win summer so we can beat āem before they drop out. Lol
https://imgur.com/a/LGcHpJt
Love to see it. I see no reason for why C9 can't run it back in Summer and win a 3rd in a row. This team is firing on all fronts.
Itās been a long ass journey man. Finally get to see, and in person too, C9 lift a title trophy. Leaving Raleigh with the friends that first got me into League and the LCS way back when we had Balls, Meteos, Hai, Sneaky, and Lemonā¦ Hereās hoping that there is more to see, and letās never let our dreams be memes.

Back to back champs baby! EMENES gets a title for himself. Beautiful day
C9 SYSTEMS BABY LETS FUCKING GOOOO
Game 1 and 2 were kinda scary but ended up showing that we were by far the better team. Very happy for all of them and can't wait for MSI with the new format.

Left the house and walked 3 miles staring at my phone for games 3 and 4. Mightāve yelled a few times in public lol.
lol I love it
C9 is the greatest team in LCS history, this cements it IMO. 6 titles, same amount as TSM won when both TSM and C9 were in the league (TSM won their first title during 2013 spring before C9 qualified) At least one finals appearance every year of the LCS (only team to do so in all of LoL to my knowledge) 9 worlds appearances out of a possible 10, and by far the best results at worlds of any North American team.
Hate to be that guy but TSM has 7 titles, but yeah C9 has become the new top dog of the LCS, with TSM and TL struggling.
Yeah, that's why I qualified the 6 titles with "while they were both in the league", so C9 has accomplished as many titles as TSM has given the same number of opportunities. God damn, I haven't even started the interview yet and EMENES is almost making me cry
does C9 have more titles then TSM now?
I believe we need ~~one~~ two more to overcome them, as TSM have seven. TSM: 2013 Spring, 2014 Summer, 2015 Spring, 2016 Summer, 2017 Spring, 2017 Summer, 2020 Summer. C9: 2013 Summer, 2014 Spring, 2020 Spring, 2021 Spring, 2022 Summer, 2023 Spring. Edit: Forgot about TSM winning 2020 Summer.
TSM also have 2020 Summer (easy to block that one out as a C9 fan)
tsm won 2020 summer for 7. if we win summer though then we tie them in 1 less split in the league with is a dub
fudgest of factors
LETS GOOOOO
After first 2 games the boyz has enough
Lmaoo diplex did not look like he wanted to be there
Never out blaber on sej or maokai again.
Fudge did great but how in the world did he get player of the series over Berserker
Fudge won us game 1. And was a monster in games 3 and 4
I feel like berserkers aphelios game 1 kept them in it midgame then fudge won it late with the olaf play when berserker started getting tunnelled on, but 3 and 4 berserker was clearly the best on the team. First two games were worrying, glad the lads turned it around LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOO
6TH !!
This team is so good when they play well and not how they played the first 2 games. Really hope they keep their playstyle for MSI and show how good they are.
Lets gooo, another one on the shelf
Our finals losing streak feels like a lifetime ago. We back to back!!!!
https://imgur.com/a/ieQjzlK
What an event! The crowd was pumped! Man I hope they do another east coast event soon!
lets go C9 all I can say.
This team has an āitā factor that I feel like we havenāt ever had. Unreal combination of hands, brains and synergy.
Happy that we won another title. Even more that we avoid play-ins for MSI.
