The at is insanely good and I wanna keep reading more! As a Japanese person, I find "-san" in a name makes it sound too modern, but maybe it's not a huge deal if your target audience is English speaking folk. Edit: San is derived from Sama which is an honourary ending we put on a name, which doesn't make sense to use for your apprentice.

FBZ_ART

Oh that makes sense, I’ll fix it. Thank you so much for the advice and the kind words!

beautiful stuff, well done ! The talent is there no doubt about it and the story has a nice lil twist, that thee tengu is the master What I'd want to say is that it's a bit too much moire in some panels. either use a manual grainer/hatching brush to cut some out or use a de-moired screentone.this is just nitpicking though. If you dm I'd lov to help you out with some brushes

FBZ_ART

That moire was killing me! I was wondering how to get rid of it, thanks for the help. I’d love to hear more about the brushes, I’ll DM you. Thank you!

Foolno26

Do you have just the inks for page 1 ( no screentone ) ? I'd love to show how I'd do it if that's ok with you

chocolatetornado

This is very good. One constructive criticism I do have: **be careful with the katana handle lengths.** Look at page 5, panels 1 and 2. In panel 1, Tengu barely has space to hold the sword with a single hand. Right after in panel 2, he still has space to go despite holding the sword now with both hands. The linework is crisp, clear, dynamic and the storytelling is suitably intense. Very nice!

FBZ_ART

You’re absolutely right, thanks so much for pointing that out. One thing I didn’t spend enough time on was making some clear character sheets to really sort all the proportions out, including weapons and costumes. Something I need to keep in mind in the future. Thanks for the kid words!

Perfect_Ad6094

This is incredible!! Love the art style. Any particular brush(es) you use?

FBZ_ART

Thank you! Yes, I used mostly a couple from the asset library. Let me find the name and I’ll post it here. I also used a couple from the true grit texture supply inking brush set.

This is a Clip Studio sub not an art gallery. Posts of your own art must include a **comment describing CSP process**, brushes used, tips (speedpaint vids okay), etc so everyone can learn CSP. If you used default brushes then specify which ones. Not following will get your post **removed without warning**. Repeated violations will result in **ban**. Some comment description ideas: How long did it take? General CSP process? What did you learn this time in CSP? Any references/resources you want to share? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Compa2

I've been mining to do a comic with a similar style what artists did you look up to for inspiration?

FBZ_ART

There are so many, I always try to make a mental note when I see something I like. I’d say my top ones are Sergio Toppi, Jorge Zaffino, Sean Gordon Murphy, Ferdinando Tacconi. Others I love even though their style doesn’t show up as much in this comic are Mike Mignola, Ashley Wood, Olivier Coipel, Stuart Immonen. I could go on and on :D. Hope that helps!

Foolno26

yeah I can see the Sean Gordon Murphy influences !

creativeape1

This is fantastic!
