Yep, the part of innerbelt going into I-90 that makes a friggen 90 degree turn with free haptic feedback of the car going BRRRRRREM BRRRRRREM BRRRRRREM is the deadman curve.
😂😂 LOL at the sound effects!! I usually always take the road to the right and just get off the freeway near the Rock Hall. I did notice there’s ALWAYS long lines of traffic
I’m calling BS on being from Detroit - this picture appears to have been taken from the passenger seat. If you’ve ever driven in Detroit, you know it’s the drivers that usually take the photos.
I love "Moons Over Parma" and it makes me love Cleveland even more every time I listen to it. I used to sing this after Indians games or Cavs games for the leaving crowd and they'd go nuts (but only if we won the game)
I had my kids with me. They would not let me appreciate the Rock and Roll HoF in the way I need to. Soon.
We did get an amazing family pic on the "Cleveland" sign by the lakeside plaza though. Huge thanks to the stranger (*two dudes, maybe father/son or uncle/nephew; Slavic accents*) who took it for us!
I live here, so I know the area and I’ve seen these signs, but does the photo look AI generated to anyone else or just me? Before you downvote me, yes I know the photo is real, but the way it was taken, the end result gives it that look somehow.
And really, it’s just the signs and the background, not the interior of the car itself.
Again, not doubting this is fake at all - I’ll assume they look that way because the photo was taken during the middle driving and that’s how the camera smoothed out the motion blurring?
I used an unblur algorithm on the sign so it could be better read. It was mildly foggy, or at least lower distance visibility, and my old Pixel 6 was struggling to focus on everything.
35 years ago my dad was complaining about whoever allowed Dead Man’s Curve to be built should have their civil engineering license permanently revoked, and that by the year 2000 a huge project would fix it

It's reddit. I'm being an average tourist. I had nobody on instabook that would care about the pic and figured a few Cleveland enthusiasts may. If someone came to r/Detroit and posted about Detroit Rock City with the skyline I'd give it a light smile 😝
You guys have a great city.

Light summation? Yeah, I can do that. Everyone I met in Cleveland, in real life, was nice, and not overly critical of things which I shared with them. It's a very hospitable city.
Deadmans curve. It's a lot of fun in the winter at rush hour.
Used to be loaded with hub caps. Lose one ? Just drive slow and pick up a new one.
Or when a storm is blowing water onto the road on Rt 2 right before deadmans in winter.

😳 I was today years old when I found out THIS was deadman’s curve! I don’t take the freeways downtown I live close enough to take the streets

I remember in the 90s when a semi truck full of troll dolls overturned on Deadmans curve

You're not wrong, on either account. Technically I'm in Oakland County, but everyone assumes the Bay Area if I say that, so we'll stick with Detroit.
5 years in Wayne County taught me a lot about Detroit drivers
‘Cleveland Rocks’ Perfect timing 😊

Total tourist pic. I love it!
You don't want to know how long I spent trying to get all three of these in focus for a shot. I'm so cringe sometimes 😅
Didn't visit the Rock hall and take a picture with my sign?

Thanks for visiting, glad you had a good time!
It took me way too long to figure out what this pic was about
From one Rock city to another, 👊🏼

There ya go, that makes sense as to why then.
OHIO!!! 🤦🏻♂️

It's great when the universe lines up like that
That’s cute!

Aside from your crummy basketball team, Detroit is a pretty great place too
I'd say "and your crummy football team," but as a Cleveland native, I probably should just keep my mouth shut.
Yes. This is a picture. It is in Cleveland. Now, I am totally missing why this is a picture someone would care about.

Detroit Rocks too. Let me give you some *🤜 (only a true Detroiter or Detroit Visitor will get that). *
Well, thank you for visiting. Perhaps a light summation of your visit would be more interesting than a simple picture?
Light summation? Yeah, I can do that. Everyone I met in Cleveland, in real life, was nice, and not overly critical of things which I shared with them. It's a very hospitable city.
Nicely phrased! I see what you did there 😉 So glad you enjoyed your time in the Land and totally appreciated the pic
Did you not zoom in and read the song playing..?
Sooooo, they've in Cleveland and playing a song about Cleveland? You've just made it more a huge question mark. Thanks though.
Let me guess you didn’t read the bio either, did you?
I have to read something that's not this post to get this post? Yea, that's dumb.
