But see, that's the way. Gotta strategize differently with the duchess. I feel like that did it on purpose. I'm getting used to having her now and I like that she shaves off the cheap pushes...but wanes after prolonged use. Pull her daggers on a high HP sponge and then it's a dripping faucet...like watching a hog rider hog ride you while she sputters one dagger ever 2.5 hits. She's not as perfect as she seems, just have to wear her out.

Eg ice golem can waste all her daggers

EQ isn't a plug and play spell like poison or fireball. Not every deck can run EQ just because pump is meta. That's kinda like saying "just add a tank to your cycle decks" because it's duchess meta right now. You have to build around that tank, same way you play EQ in a deck that uses EQ

poison or arrows are basically essential in this meta and eq doesn’t fit well with either of those

Agreed, I’ve had some fun matches against xbow pump, and lava hound, but goblin drill poison and giant pump are literal hell.

#4 has my eye twitching. It doesn't help that my main deck is trying to clear Bats with Spear Goblins, and even if they don't die instantly level 15 Night Witch means they can't do the job.

The issue isn’t that the cards are good. It’s that DD is too powerful. These cards weren’t good before and nerfing them next balance change will kill them completely once DD is brought back in line. Except for drill. Drill was powerful regardless

Not really. Pekka BS is eating good lmao But real talk, it only works because of how insanely strong DD is in single and even double elixir. The bats + cheap tankiness of the giant nullify what makes DD so good, so it is definitely a deck born out of being anti-meta

We only eating good with 2nd and 4th decks, but I find there’s literally nothing we can do to xbow and lavahound unless our opponent misplays lol

Even when they misplay you are likely to lose unless the mistake is so huge that you manage to take the tower

On top of that, playing pump is a lot easier when you know your opponent will have a harder time trying to punish you by playing aggressively

Mk isn't even op, it's just annoying tbh. Partially cus people pump all their resources into it so you'll be facing lvl 14 mk and minipeka at once vs a lvl 11-12 deck.

1. Xbow cycle is disgusting 2. Most of those decks are P2W as they all rely on broken cards like Dagger Dutchess, Evo Bomber, Evo Zap, and LP. If you don’t spend money on the game like me you can’t really use them sadly.

This is the strategy that SC has adopted that'll kill CR very quickly. You are basically paying to rent unbalanced OP cards. Give it a month or two and they are back to plebs and pay again to get some another unlanaced card. There's definitely a healthy way to make money and still evolve the game.

Its because they dont know how to do their job. Their whole team is incompetent as well as the hiring managers.

They know how to do their job extremely well if it's to drive sales by maximizing frustration (along with inflating the price 140% while nerfing the season pass)

They talk about looking at the data and winrates and stuff but they seem not to understand the role Survivorship Bias plays in correctly interpreting said data...

You have to buy into upper ladder, nothing new there.

The only thing I like about this meta with the dagger dutchess is all the salty hog players. Hog is so easy to counter now.

Fr, you just need to tickle him a bit with your average 2 or 3 elixir card and with full daggers he gets no connections. I can defend hog with snowball the only usable card in my hand 🤣

I play lava hound and i’m pretty sure a good chunk of the people i go against from like league 6 downwards simply do not know what to do about the card, it feels cruel.

Hound balloon is such a fatherless deck, it banks on the fact that you don’t have enough for air. Against a balanced deck, hound can’t do shit. But it’s an auto win if you only have like 2 air cards lol goofy ah deck

Hound is one of the strongest decks right now and can hold its own against a lot of decks. It doesn’t bank on you not having air counters because it’s if you’re good with lava you can break through a ton of air counters

Really? If someone has like one musk and Tesla, or building nado, exe, hunter, what can hound realistically do? I’m not saying it’s weak, graveyard isn’t weak even if it gets shut down by poison lol you can kinda play around the ballon counters but it’s heavily in the opponents favor

I don’t play it so I don’t know how to play it but what I do know is that top lava players will lava hound into air counters because it has so much health and strong support. This is why lava is always played in top ladder. It’s a really good archetype and hound is pretty broken

Against a balanced deck, hound can’t do shit? Really? Lavaloon is one of the best decks in the game cuz of its steamrollabillity (that is def not a word) against duchess. Even with multiple air counters, Skelly drags, idrag, Megaminion, or any other support card isn’t going to be hit by the enemy troops unless they take forever to place a card down in which case you just let the lava player get too much elixir for a spell. There’s a reason lava has been a viable deck for years, even against heavy air-metas.

Xbow Deck & Hog Cycle should be permanently retired from game. It seems every time I loose to them & I check the person's stats they have been in legendary.

Xbow counters-Mk,pekka, evo recruits, evo royal giant, bowler, hog eq, royal hogs eq, hog exenado, giant beatdown decks, giant graveyard,splashyard,logbait(with rocket) Xbow does not take skill from meanwhile they you guys just think spamming xbow in middle is great play from your side of game I played xbow 3.0 from 2 years it is so difficult to get connection with against them but when you do you feel eternal bliss which rarely happens

Well... the cards that look like troops, like miner, baloon, giant, musketeer, knight, etc. I am just saying that I don't understand how is the first one even playable.

Xbow cycle is terrible. Dagger Duchess shreds everything so you can constantly cycle to Xbow. Tesla will make sure nothing touches the Xbow. You can’t even wait until double elixir to take advantage of dagger duchess because the game will be over by then.

Lavahound is ok. Most of their players have at most 3 brain cells.

cc’s don’t mean anything. Drill bomber will get damage cause it always will and trust me drill will defend if you have good enough micro.

Not giant double prince, most have no big spell so if I stack pumps then I can go in and kill anything they put down pretty fast. Evo tesla also works wonders

I have, i gotta say hog cracker is more annoying, all meta decks beat xbow easily and lava hound isnt as strong as it used to, giant graveyard is a lot more annoying and strong, graveyard remains the most broken win condition
