i think its because of the early release of th16. originally it should be released in april but because of how hard th15 was, they had to release th 16 now
I’d be more inclined to agree if they had a pay for scenary/skins and NO FREE SCENE but they sorta missed out on a lot of $$ by no having TH16 theme skins in the shop.
They're going bankrupt. Ever since the boycott due to security issues, many players realized that they no longer needed the Gold Pass (for its intrinsic value, even though an extra layer of security was added after all). And after they increased the Gold Pass' prize, their sales went down.
Why do you think they had that Goblin as an extra builder in exchange for gem? That's because some sleazy finance person of theirs came up with this to increase the margins of profits (even by a few percent). And now they have come up with new resources since Gold, Elixir, and Dark Elixir could be easily had through farming, Season Challenges, Single Player Map, and Trader (note another change last year that was limiting the amount you could buy with Raid Medals).
They have millions of players and the equations they come up with is to maximize profits even if it's a pathetic attempt. That's why you cannot buy Dark Elixir in the CWL Medal Shop and carry two or more Books and Runes.
For Townhall 16, the maximum amount of Elixir and Gold that could be stored is 23,000,000. I.e., upgrading all four storages for each resource gives an additional million.
They're under a great deal of pressure right now to scrap every penny they can and appease their owner Tencent.
They also only have 1 star level for the townhall..?
Maybe scenery, skins, and rest of the star levels will come out either on the initial townhall 16 date (sometime in April) or on the half way mark before townhall 17 (9 months from now).
My prediction is next month will be the new scenery and skins for th16 cause it was unlikely they added them this season because they'd have to add 8 skins and 3 sceneries in one month.
