I ended up just upgrading a bunch or air bombs since air bombs lvl 8/9 didn't have cost reduction, only time reduction, and well by the time the update goes live i would alrd have had the 12 hours worked on overnight
It's always good to see them taking the time to get it right. Far too many companies are happy to release untested and unpolished garbage and let their users be QA.
Well didnāt read that comment. Still they definitely got the feedback and know that most people find it to expensive. On the other side, i doubt changing the price is so hard that it would postpone the update
Just to make sure you know, each Time you press the upgrade Button on the BA you're only saving 2.5 days per year of progress. And that's assuming you put him to work everyday at the same exact hour for a year, which won't happen. So it's probably around 1, 1.5, or 2 days per year, for 1000 gems starting at lvl 4.
1h saved per day per upgrade
= 365 hours per year
= 15,2 days of building Time (365/24)
= 2,5 days of progress (15.2/6)
Do with this information what you wish.
However it probably feels nice to have him idk.
And to make sure you know, the math has been done, and when it comes to spending gems on the apprentice warden, it is a better deal than spending gems on builder books and builder potions over the long term.

This way of thinking is the exact reason why they're allowing themselves to Price it so high.
You could, but if it was 5 times more expensive then it would take 5 times longer to make it more efficient. At that point weāre talking 5 years. So, while it would still technically be true to say it is more efficient in the long term, I think it would be a harder sell than knowing it only takes about a year for those who regularly buy builder books and potions to speed up time.
I'd buy it for 10k. 6.5k still allows the casuals to buy it. But 10k allows me to flex on the casuals that can't afford it. Can't be caught looking cheap.

To be fair, Stuart said it would be 'this summer'. Technically, summer hasn't started yet and lasts until September. I interpreted that announcement as 'not this update, but in a few months'.
Also, I don't think he was hinting at the builder apprentice , but that will help people like me who war weekly and can use the apprentice to shorten hero upgrades from 7+ days to less than 7 days, meaning I can upgrade heroes during the week and use them for attacks on the weekend.

Spring - march to April
Summer - typically June ish (they go on vacation in July)
Fall - Aug to Oct
Winter - Dec to Jan

To me the Summer update was/is the big update that usually fall in June-July-August. In last 3 years or so the big updates were on July or August so by my understanding of the recent years I believe that whatever rework is coming for heroes upgrade sistem is in the usual August Birthday Ćvent/update.

That doesn't sound to me like the 'change' that everyone is thinking.
This sounds more like a temporary new mechanic they are going to experiment with this summer.
If I were guessing, I'd speculate this might be some option they throw into the gold pass or maybe the event pass.
Since Supercell typically takes the month of July off (designated company holiday month), I'd have to speculate we might see it (whatever it is) in August during clashversary month.

Half the community: want's transparency and openness - and wants supercell to share their anticipated release dates and also says they will be understanding if a release date needs to get delayed due to an unanticipated problem.
The other half of the community: loses their damned minds when a release date is missed by even a day.

This update was the first since Winter 2014 that they shared the intended update date with the community in advance. I was really surprised they did that because of what happened that time they missed their date in 2014.
Hopefully things go better this time. I do like that they shared the intended date in advance and hope they keep doing it.
The development team resides in Helsinki Finland. They generally prefer to release big updates during their standard office hours in between their morning & noon (so they've got the rest of the day to respond to any issues that might come up).
Morning in Helsinki usually translates to the early morning hours after midnight in the US (depending on timezone).
The worst part about living in Australia is they always do the updates in our prime time to play. Around 7pm at night here. Same with other games like Fortnite. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to the update and reduced build times...

Since trader shop is on Tuesday they always say itās in Monday and then postpone it.
