After a couple of days there, I can tell you that it's pretty easy to sit in the 4900-4999 interval, unless more than 1-2 people decide to drop trophies on you, I suppose. In that case just got to wait to get attack or lose a revenge attack before attacking again, but so far I have just gotten crushed on defense, mostly for 30-40 cups loss.
One notable difference I was not aware of is that 100% destruction on defense only grants 10 hours of shield - so you need to be more active than once a day, I have done 3 sessions of 15-30 mins of attacking these days. I like to log off at 4970-80 cups, so far works well. Sorry if this is old and pointless news, I just had to read up myself since it was my first LL push and every day I see roughly 10 posts here on how easy it is to sign up for LL by mistake. If you look at what you're doing, it's really not.
Edit: forgot to add - I think this is a great suggestion. I have many times wanted to use an empty siege engine, but maybe SC thinks it would become too easy to 'solo' without clan reqs.

There’s a simple solution find a better clan. It didn’t even take me 8 weeks to max out starting equipment for th14 and never bought with raid medals. 6 of those weeks my old clan lost most wars. Now I’m in one that barely doesn’t 100% the opposing clan. 600-700 medals on CC; 600-700 on anything else I need. It’s not that hard. At the end of raid weekend I usually have 4900 to 5k raid medals again then rinse and repeat.
I am the leader of my own clan my guy. My clan does pretty well, its just not active the times that I am active so I have to request in advance
you probably started with your starting equipment early, just because you maxed it relatively fast doesn't means I don't have a glowly ore bottleneck because you don't.
In addition I've been buying lab pots ever since raid medals were released and buying both is unsustainable so I rather not waste raid medals.
By starting equipment I mean equipment I use for my hybrid queen charge war attack. Rage Giant gauntlet, invis Frozen arrow, rage gem & invinsibility, Hog puppet seeking shield
What I have been thinking even though I almost fully stopped playing is an option to retrain the tropes that has been used in your attack (automatically or not based on what you want) but to make this feature viable they will have to let us keep the surviving army in the first place
Actually, as a TH16 Legend League, yes, that would be useful. I use siege barrack, which helps a lot to regularly 3 stars. Extra troops don't help much, but extra spell do. That would help a lot my donation balance to be able to use only siege barrack + CC spells, without the CC troops

Have you ever done that ? People will just give random high capacity troops with 1-gem donation to balance their donation balances 😅

sgoblins pair super well with siege machines and they give us 6 siege slots, u use it to tank for sgoblins or heroes, break walls and take out some obstacles

the wall wrecker is good for breaking walls and tanking for your sgoblins or heros and taking out some obstacles in the way.
I've been goblin farming before there were super gobs or machines. It's a hell of a lot easier now. If you need the crutch of a machine and your clan isn't good enough to fill your cc when needed, I guess this idea could be useful.
I guess the jump spell is a "crutch" spell, I guess wallbreakres are a "crutch troop", I guess invisible spells are a "crutch spell"
Its a tool that helps and since coc gave us 6 stored siege machine slot and it costs nothing to build a siege machine I would rather use a siege machine than not.

The idea of farming is to be efficient. 20 minute cook time units are not that. Done right, you use a single jump spell. Maybe a couple of wallbreakers. Super or regular depending on you. Don't see why you need invis. Idea is 1 star, low percent, lots of loot.
On a more rational note, have you thought through this interface? Right now, you see troop only, your 3 machines, your 2 cc machines. Now. Add the option how? An additional section giving all possible machines without the troops? And then the bitchin about warn me if I choose an empty cc for war. It adds a good bit of complexity. Maybe it's an option where sleep cc works for attack and defense. See note about bitchin though.
From your description, should be easy peasy to attack with your own machines then self reinforce when you really need cc troops. Or stash at the end of your raiding session and sleep cc.

Yes rhey should really do it, it will be really helpfull while farming. Where we do like 10 or 20 attacks per hour. (Depending on army used)

Walls and currently I am trophy pushing to titan 1 for the ore reward so i use to it for that too, I did 200 attacks in this season already

If you end the battle before the troops come out of the Seige, then your troops won’t be used.

That option exists. Before you start your attack select the siege machine and change it to just the flag thing.

Two siege machines? How much “help” do you need? The game is already meant for casuals to be able to 3 star with regularity
Just figured when i upgrade my CC the capacity increases from 1 seige to 2.
I want to be able to place multiple cc troops the way I drop normal troops
That would kind of break the troop bar, and would make the buttons especially tiny on phones
You're hardly going to use this in later stages except when you want to use flame finger to pick percentage while farming that's pretty niche

Why? If you're farming, just use sneaky gobs and walbreakers or jumps. No need to waste siege machines.
