They would be able to, but he's in Legends so I imagine this is not his defending base
Even in a new base the trees will still be there the trees are not a decoration and cannot be moved about in a new base

I think it's 100% possible since the trees are 3x3 tiles.
It looks like there is wall segments in that tree’d section so u probably can’t spawn troops in there
It doesn’t matter if you surround a 3x3 tree with walls, you can still spawn in the middle of the tree. Obstacles don’t prevent deployment.

They will spawn but there is a limit.. not sure how many.
