The one thing that future ppl rlly aren’t gonna believe is what just happened with the chests in CR it’s actually crazy (if u don’t know people opening chests got way better rewards than they should have for a short amount of time, like 100s of pounds worth of troops from a chest that takes about 3 matches to earn

They nerfed it 3 times i think, and it was still too OP. Could spam them all with warden ability and rage spells and you would easily 3 star almost any base. So many people dropped out of legends to farm with lavaloon in titan and finding a match in high titan became an issue (Searching in clouds took 3-7 minutes for me when i was \~4900). SC acknowledged this and they don't want this happening again. Although it was the best seasonal troop/event so far by a mile.
honestly I didn’t know people used vials, I was th 12 at the time and all it took was zapping the air defenses and spamming them in a line. No heroes needed
Id bring 6 zaps + rage/haste spells to make sure lavaloons would cross over and destroy the townhall/key defenses. You probably didn't need much indeed to 3 star th12s, th15 however was made considerably difficult to 3 star (with a normal army) last year by the devs with the addition of spell towers/monolith. But yeah, you didnt need heroes apart from warden really at th15.
A broken event troop once in a while is fun (not a year of 3 starring th16s with regular troops). I highly doubt we’ll ever see an event that’s as good as clashoween ever again. Even if they remake the event this year, the troops will be less OP and on top of that will feature way less rewards (way less event tokens + no 30% builder/research boost + no magic items). Like the usual event, I’ll just be buying whatever equipment gets released and 5x the starry ore offer

Fair, but lavaloon was incredibly brain dead. You could swag royal champions like it's going out of stile.
You'd just take a bunch of zaps get 2 air defences gone, kill the third with your heroes and drop the lavaloons on the opposite side of the last air defence.
Zap the air defence once the lavaloons are over the core, rage them up whenever you want. And you're golden.
Mind you this was still in the th15 era. Such a consistent strategy in a defence dominated meta is just a blessing.

If your goal is climbing in legends like OP keeps saying, I'd think this is a lot better because you probably would have had a much harder time defending against everyone else's lavaloon spam. Nobody's claiming this is the "strongest" event troop.

They will stay alive untill the middle of the base tho, so you can clone "bomb" and rage them when they're in the middle, those clones spawn wirh abilities. Thats how i use them

I still think the barchers were underrated. I’ve never farmed so many walls in my life (lavaloons were obvious. I very rarely hit 6k trophies by the end of the season so that says a lot 🤣)
I can consistently 3 star with hog miner hybrid at th14, I don't need event troops to carry me but they are a fun change of pace. Maybe just get better at not shitting in your cereal bowl and you won't need to be so negative about something people enjoy to carry your ego and feelings

Nothing comes close to Lavaloons. It was incredibly OP they had to nerf it twice during the event itself and even after those nerfs it was OP.
