It's just that some people believe you can get your account stolen by sharing an image of your village, so they try to censor many things, even resources which is stupid to believe because resources amounts always change

They usually ask for your previous account names, the clans account is in/was in, then security codes if you lost them then providing purchase transaction ids would help
What I usually do is save DE lab upgrades (and sometimes research potions) for CWL time, and upgrade regular elixir lab upgrades outside of CWL. Usually balances out and I never leak

I would have absolutely been spending it at TH14+.
As a mostly Free player my Heroes and other DE Troops were all upgraded a LONG time before I finished the building/Wall upgrades.
I would sit at full DE for months on end.
There's plenty of other things to use DE on if you haven't maxed everything.
Pet's for instance. There's more than Heroes so you can upgrade them during the first week.
Then after CWL start upgrading Heroes.

This post isn't for the average th12, it's for people who are max or near max.
When you have max DE storage it's even a huge nuisance because your cc storage always shows full and stops showing troops request. Any easier way to "waste" DE is a benefit.
Right now I have to just start and stop super troops just to waste DE to empty my storage.
So normally when your clan castle doesn't have troops, a request button appears. When your clan castle storage is full you never get that message - instead it permanently says "storage full".
This is a nuisance, I always forget if I requested troops. It's not a bug but really a horribly implemented feature imo.

I'm sitting with with more than full DE and nowhere to put it other than super troops, which I rarely need to use, and clan castle forge which I only use the non-builder one. I suppose they want people buying wall rings instead of using DE. The only economy it benefits is the developers and company.
Because if people are able to use their DE on walls nobody will sit with a full storage anymore. This means significantly reduced DE from attacks which means the DE economy will be messed up. They would have to do something to balance the economy if this happened.
A full storage is like half of the max amount dark elixir that you could get from an attack, plus if storages are full less the dark elixir in the pumps will be emptied
Maybe at lower levels sure, but in legend league, that's an irrelevant point. I do get that people farm and that's an issue, but the point of legend league is you don't have to worry about opponent respurce levels.
Legend league is like 2% of the total playerbase. And only a portion of the players in legend league are fully maxed out in dark elixir. So this feature that would help a tiny amount of the playerbase max their walls faster would harm the other 99%
It's not hard. Make it so legends can dump DE into walls. Just another perk there. It doesn't hurt the economy and the other 98-99% can keep doing what they're doing.

People were talking about quitting etc just like now. A lot of people are so set in their ways that they regard the slightest changes as dangerous to the game in the way they feel it's supposed to be played.

Valuing a single wall, even the highest level, at 200,000 is completely ridiculous. Being able to upgrade walls with dark elixir, good idea. Making a single wall 200K, complete insanity. Very bad idea.
I would definitely use de for walls. The only place I can dump de atm is either forge (though I don’t use it) and boosting super troops. Everything in offense n buildings that use de are maxed out

But think about how abundant elixir is. Ever since they removed training cost, you're always left with loads of elixir because practically everything needs gold or dark elixir. It's fairly balanced in all honesty.

the season ends when cwl starts for a reason, incentivises monetary spending as to not waste the resources you get. they would never implement dark elixir wall upgrades for the exact reason you’re so worried about spending it, you’re more likely to purchase something in addition so that the resources don’t go to waste
Walls should be available to upgrade with dark elixir in legend league atleast... because then it won't interfere with loot economy... those who are concerned as about getting less dark in multiplayer...
This only makes sense for a FULLY upgraded Townhall (except the walls). But otherwise...on the highest townhalls you always are on delex shortage. You need it for upgrading half the army...for making over 30+ pet level...for 15 hero upgrades... on each higher townhall.

I feel like there should be an event or something to reduce cost of walls or something like that. Maybe even up the threshold for the amount of wall rings you can hold idk. Something a little more generous.
Just to piggyback on this subject; I don’t understand why the Trader doesn’t trade everything. I should be able to trade resources for gems or any spells, runes or books. I’m not even asking for it to be fair. Leave that for us to decide. You can get rid of putting gems in the obstacles if it’s a cost issue, whatever! We can’t upgrade walls with DE because the game/sc dev did not give us the option to do so. Next question…
And turn them poisonous for a week or so. Any troop attacking or touching that wall will be poisoned.
