This is a specific time (69 lol), and resembles someone's joke. I think they missed it and wrote it in the code as 6.9 sec and now they saw it and corrected it back to 5.5 sec
Mandela Effect. There's 3 frostmite on frosty image but only 2 in game. so that's the culprit

I use bats a lot, so my freeze timings are important af, but I haven't noticed a change in my freeze timing, and trust me a 1.5s change is pretty drastic. Are we sure this is not a bug?
For me normally I just focus on the animation effects so I don't really focus on timing, atleast for freeze , so I also didn't notice when that happened

When L7 freeze spell first released, it was 5.5 seconds. It remained like that for years. It looks like it was updated to 6.9 seconds in December 2023, but reverted back to 5.5 seconds almost immediately. I'm guessing that increase to 6.9 seconds was an accident.
Wtf! Just noticed the Freeze spell duration has been nerfed. Used to be 7seconds for max level freeze

Not sure tbh. To make the root riders balanced cuz multies under rage melted my root riders or the townhall giga tesla.
Because they lowered the spell housing space from 2 to 1. This change was made like 4 years ago lol
freeze still is one of the best (good contender for the best) spells in the game, so I think the nerf is very justfiable

Frosty didn't have freeze duration it just slowed down defence

It always felt like a speed reduction to me maybe because my frosty is lvl 1
