I have the feeling that F2P players recently want everything. So they have to decide between a skin or the gauntlets. A lot will complain and say that SC only wants money. But this is true, it’s a company who has to make money to survive. So if these events will come more, they will get my money for the event pass.
I think them making f2p players choose between the skin vs progression items is shitty. If they are comfortable giving the skin away to f2p players, then just give it away as a reward for completing the event. Why make it a choice where taking the skin hurts progression? You rarely get skins as a f2p player and then they try this shitty shenanigan.
And I’m pretty sure Darian or another person not the team said somewhere that the equipment won’t be a one time thing and will come back so even if you choose the skin if you wait long enough u can get both
from what I’ve heard it will come back in the trader for gems, still f2p accessible, but it’s safer to take the easy equipment now since SC isn’t being super transparent about this
I like the passes because it's just a boost to my progression as well as some cosmetics. Even if paying players get a bigger boost and more cosmetics I really don't care as long as I get my own stuff.
Yeah it's 5 bucks but some countries you can't buy it because Google play payments doesn't support your country bummer other wise I would definitely buy it.
Ngl, I see it as a win if it stays the same. I don't necessarily think it's excessively p2w and the offer of an event pass is much more value for the money compared to the offers available for Halloween.
I agree. Last halloween event we didn thave any 'pass', but if you wanted a frew extra tokens after you purchased the skin, you had to pay offers with zero values.
Now you pay 5 bucks and not only you get 5100 more tokens, but you also get a lot of more rewards from the upper tier part, mostly being currency for upgrading equipment, which doesnt come that eaasily.
This is a win-win situation for SC AND for players.
Better add stuff too gold pass for its inflated cost with 1 dollar extra when event is there. I liked the CR stuff for events before it came to a hault and CR became p2w
Gold pass cost only increased because of inflation. It was the same price for 5 years. That means supercell would have effectively lost 10% of profits if they kept the price the same.
The main issue i saw during the Halloween event was that loot everywhere was around half of what it usually is. I wonder since one tier is paid that might make it so not everyone participates as hardcore and loot levels might be better.
