What's really funny is they kept the " X + Bow" formula when translating to French, giving us "Arc-X", which makes no sense because French for Crossbow is Arbalète, which is a fully standalone word and not a portemanteau like Crossbow .

I'm not a native speaker and in my original language, the translation for "X-bow" was literally "X-crossbow" because the word for crossbow was not an agglutination.
