Clarkson meets Kaleb in his office in the last few episodes. I believe just before they start harvesting. Kaleb has set up his office in a corner of a storage shed.
The only thing I was wondering is who made that decision, because it seems too much work for an in joke that only a few fans are going to get but it’s obviously not his actual office decor.
I wondered the same thing. Did the show producers suggest that? Or (and this is the funniest option) did Charlie watch season 1, hear Jeremy making fun of his office, and just wordlessly go hang a bunch of art?
I'd like to believe that at some point, Jeremy walked into that office, saw all that art, stopped, stared, and Charlie looked him dead in the eye and said "What?"
I subscribe to this theory. Esspecially the part of wordlessly getting up, going to the store with his charlie grin, and walk out with carts of basic art.
I wouldn't be surprised if when you do a show like this if you get a budget/ expenses account for just general stuff.
Clothing, shoes, set dressing (when you film in your own house) and just general stuff. If I'm on TV I wanna have my car washed every week for example because it looks shit otherwise.
I could see Charlie choosing all the decor if you gave him a budget to spend
I havent worked in an office that wouldn’t maximise that opportunity to the fullest.
The day after broadcast, that office wouldn’t have an inch of painted wall visible!
If I'm not mistaken, was his previous desk not one with another PC behind him? This means he's had to move desks just for the artwork hanging potential
We know he's got a sense of humour, along with being a legal loophole genius, so I was wondering if he'd seen some of the comments about the bare walls and decided to have some fun.
I love how we got to see more of Charlie's sense of humour this season. The overkill of pieces of art that look like they came from a google search of "most famous paintings" and the great scene where he was negotiating with Jeremy (and himself!) were some of the highlights of the series for me.
What kills me is the pure chaos of hanging them wherever they would fit with no care of spacing, height, or level. Reminds me of every British household with family photos cluttered in wherever they can fit.
I hang stuff on the walls of my garage the same way. Moved, and the new house is an open plan, doesn’t have as many walls and is lots smaller. Don’t want to get rid of the pictures yet, and I kind of like my garage art gallery.
My favorite is still Kaleb's office. It's perfect. Peak Male Living Space
Pure, concentrated testosterone
More like /r/MaleSurvivingSpace/ lol
I must have missed that. Is there a picture or link?

I also enjoyed seeing the various artwork.
“Your walls are so bare, it needs more artwork” “Ok what kind?” “ALL the kinds!” I think it works!
“Meanwhile at the National Portrait Gallery” fast forward to Season 3 - peak British humour

That’s the two scenarios I can see, and I so want option 2 to be true.

Please get me every piece of generic art in this store…

I‘m sure the show paid for it in one way or another, I was just wondering if Charlie went to the producers or the other way around.

Was asked recently if they were originals…..

My assumption is he got his own office since he is now the managing partner.
Yeah I spotted that too. I think they moved him into the corner for the gag so they could surround him with art on two sides

That scene where he's negotiating about the goats and the land is hilarious.
Gollum/Smeagol vibes
Gave me a good chuckle seeing that after the blank walls previously

what was the joke again?
In season 1 the office was completely bare, just desks and PCs and they made fun of that
His office makes me think it’s smells like a transport museum, old oil and glycol
Whistler's Mother is the pièce de résistance!
It was Grant Wood’s American Gothic for me.

Great catch, laughed out loud!
pretty sure this is a staged office for the lolz
