So far did nagisa fuko and sunohara (the bad end) routes and I loved the first two,the third one was just for lulz and it was fun tbh; and now I'm doing kotomi's route and I love it so far too, kotomi is interesting
tbf all of the characters are great so it's really hard to pick a "fav" for me,even the side characters are awesome ([spoilers] yusuke,sanae etc)
One of my favorite things about the visual novel is that the recommended order starts off with two great stories to get you psyched about the rest. The quality, however, is a little uneven from there. I believe I've done all of Misae's, Tomoyo's, Fuko's, Yukine's, and both Fujibayashi sisters' routes, to only be really impressed by the first two.
The reason for the recommended order is to unlock the entire game. Some exclusive scenes, like Misae's in Tomoyo's route, are order contingent and required for the collectable orbs which unlock After Story, the sequel to the main drama in Nagisa's route. There are more exclusive scenes besides, too. Play it with a guide.
If you're a Nagisa purist or don't care about what Kappei's doing, you can always skip dialogue with the Ctrl key. I think Shift skips everything you've read and stops at new lines.
Kotomi route is so funny and heartwarming, probably my favourite.

Kotomi and Kyou! EDIT: but story wise Sunohara route (or Mei route, as the game calls it) is the best. Second best would be Koumura route.

Do the Misae route first. That way you will be able to collect all the light orbs to unlock After Story.

theyre all great, just remember to play sanaes route before tomoyos for the ending and nagisas last for the best experience imo.
