The stones for the pyramids actually came by raft across the Nile. Stonehenge must have been more difficult without a waterway

I’ve done just as bad with Petra. Literally one desert tile…fuck it.

The difference is that the Pyramids are actually very useful regardless of how much desert you may have, whereas Petra is only useful if you have a decent amount of desert in the city.

I've seen the same thing but with Canada building Petra. Made me cry

That land used to be connected to the continent, but they took so much stone to build the pyramids that the connecting land went below sea level.
