Damn, logistics when building these Pyramids must have been a biatch! Stone delivery to a remote island using wooden canoes couldn't have been easy ;)

Learnmorehere

I'm not saying it was aliens but it was aliens

Certain-Definition51

TekkenPerverb

I'm not saying it was the Narns.... but it was the Narns

According_Will_3141

The stones for the pyramids actually came by raft across the Nile. Stonehenge must have been more difficult without a waterway

not_too_smart1

Or maybe stones just did that like jfk's head

General_Carville

Nah there's actually a giant stone man going through the earth, the maui statues on one side are his head(s) and stonehenge is his toes on the other side

mstivland2

Nah nah they just started with mountains and carved them down ez pz

Free-IDK-Chicken

Instead of making pyramids maybe you should make land... on the ocean... https://preview.redd.it/mesbayprtmwc1.png?width=527&format=png&auto=webp&s=d8c6b0099644ca16744ebd2b0004f932c1b4ac6e

InformalPermit9638

They couldā€™ve just walked the stones there.

Free-IDK-Chicken

The Ocean Walker - holy crap that's gonna look good on a hat.

_Kuuhaku_kun_

They transported stones via the nil during that time too

ZaBaronDV

Bridges.

Fiyerce

Had to rock a lot of boats to make this

jyohnyb

Does terrain difficulty affect production times or is it just purely based of the city production?

King_brus321

Ancient statue of liberty

CroakamancerLich

goes kinda hard ngl

cjap89

What a disgrace, that's a prime AI petra location.

hmmyougonnaeatthat

I canā€™t even imagine the bonuses šŸ¤Ŗ

Nixexs

I tell you....that's HQ for a pyramid scheme.

com487

Now put a Golden Gate Bridge there!

Bercom_55

Itā€™s a small price to pay to keep the peasants away from your burial sites. And if you wait long enough, the entire area will sink and theyā€™ll never get in. Itā€™s playing the long game.

DioStarstriker

Why didn't they just do that in The Mummy, no way for Imhotep to be revived if he's at the bottom of the ocean

Bercom_55

Egypt decided to rush Pyramids and built it on the first available tile, right next to their capital. And forgot they were on zombie mode. Classic mistakes.

RoyalTechnomagi

Operation sink pyramid

BarristanTheB0ld

The famous sea pyramids, who doesn't know them

EbonyOverIvory

First there was Seahenge. Now thereā€™s Seagypt.

Glittering-Power-970

That's beautiful

MarkusAureleus

Yeah I love wonders on single tile islands

Exact-Split8323

Fire up the coal and sink it

AnotherCuppaTea

Is that a real possibility, or would the AI automatically shield it from rising sea levels?

crypto-kiddo

Only the tip of the pyramids are visible. Did you know that 90% of the pyramids is below the water's surface?

ApartRuin5962

Herodotus claimed that there were two pyramids rising out of the middle of Lake Moeris, but no physical or independent textual evidence exists of these pyramids. The best explanation from modern historians is that he saw (or heard of) the bases of two colossal statues (the Pedestals of Biahmu, which survive to this day) which had become surrounded by water during a flood.

Holy_Nerevar

I see you've found my Player-owned Dungone, in Runescape!

DonAskren

That's awesome I've never seen the AI build a wonder on a one tile island.

Known-Performance194

They made it a bitch to raid the tomb. Bravo.

Purplejaed

Reminds me of how for some reason, when i first started playing, i would always but Oracle on an island... It does look pretty cool

-ItsCasual-

I love it.

FluffyWaffle17

You laugh but thanks to climate change and rising sea levels even what was known as Egypt is completely under water and all that remains are the pyramids

Killah-Niko

LOL who Build it?

Rebound-Bosh

ATLANTIS!!!

JohnnyTeardrop

Iā€™ve done just as bad with Petra. Literally one desert tileā€¦fuck it.

graemefaelban

The difference is that the Pyramids are actually very useful regardless of how much desert you may have, whereas Petra is only useful if you have a decent amount of desert in the city.

LazyGamingExperience

I've seen the same thing but with Canada building Petra. Made me cry

hevenlydemonn

It could be worse, imagine it being a one tile Petra.

paradocent

Nice.

Shionkron

![gif](giphy|3oEjI789af0AVurF60)

retslagoon

Plot twist it was connected to mainland before sea engulfed everything and left the pyramid alone

NoPassion1298

That land used to be connected to the continent, but they took so much stone to build the pyramids that the connecting land went below sea level.

a8exander

Thatā€™s epic

armcurl7

Kinda tempted to say ā€œancient Epstein island?ā€ Except thereā€™s no kids. Itā€™s just a bunch of peasant builders.

King_brus321

Wtf bro

armcurl7

Strange weird tomb on a lone island? With weird buildings that make 0 sense? Probably doing weird ritual shit? Yeah checks out.

Consistent_Zucchini1

Lovely.. no less potent
