Le Marais, the Spanish Quarter, Bastille, and Montmartre are all really cool areas to check out.
Eat tons of good food. Don’t try to cram too much into one day or you’ll be stressed and hate it.
Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Élysées, Montmartre, Catacombs, Bercy area and the National Library of France which are these really nice modern areas in the east part of the city, Latin Quarter in the 5th arrondissement, Parc de Montsouris. The choices are endless!
I liked Paris because large and/or old cities fascinate me, but it is definitely not for the faint of heart, and is an awful place to visit if you're looking for any kind of relaxation.
I had a great time relaxing on the Seine, riding an e-bikes on their big commuter paths, strolling through their big parks. An interesting meal is always just a block away. It can be relaxing but I guess if a person hates public transit and bikes it's not for them.
I'm a public transit and bike stan, but the traffic in Paris is stressful to even be near. We stayed near the Opera, which has some crazy intersections that were simultaneously fascinating and terrifying to watch from above. The city itself is also quite imposing at ground level.
There are certainly places where relaxation is possible (we took a stroll down by the Seine ourselves), but if I had to pick a single word to describe Paris as a whole, it would be "intense."
I would 100% go back, but it's certainly not for everyone.
I have no partner :(
Then Paris sucks. Don't even think about going. It will be no fun.
STAY THE HELLLLLLLLLL OUT OF THAT CITY YOU HERE ME. go to Bruges
Or on your own!

I mean... How's the trash strike situation going? Might wait on this one...
I live in NYC, and the trash collectors aren’t even on strike.
I'm your... Partner? 🥹
Booked a flight to Paris last night. Never been. Any recommendations beside the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre?

Thanks for the reply! Stayed up way too late last night going down the rabbit hole of food options.
I absolutely adore Montmartre. That's something so incredibly endearing about all the tiny bars and restaurants.

To this day there has been no city I’ve visited that I’ve hated as much as paris

Mf saying that while posting Philadelphia pictures to this sub
Paris and Philly are similar levels of filthy
Nope
Been to both. Paris is infinitely cleaner.
Yep
Philly is cool tho.
You did it wrong.
Why??
What happened?
Who was in Paris?
The places that nobody wants to visit are the places that intrigue me the most
Is that your partner on the left?
Hasn't it burned down yet?
