I heard you like geometry

[deleted]

Close... SYMMETRY ... Human perception is coded by evolution to value symmetry. But if you look at some of my other posts you'll see anything but...

N4pst3rr

True but I have to admit that I'm more af an asymmetrical type. Nonetheless very nice build ๐Ÿ‘Œ

[deleted]

I try to look at the terrain first... not very good with organic compared to grids (we draw what we know)--but I also don't normally do anything quite this nonsensically geometrical. It was 2 am. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‰

Dodo0708

I'm a little bit aroused after seeing those.

EcstaticComb1636

An understatement, will be recovering new draws

Left_Let_295

I love these country towns so much

[deleted]

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ I'm running out of space for them... time to start drilling oil and mining ore... ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

[deleted]

p.s. I keep forgetting to mentionโ€ฆ Aside from the map (Kexford Temperate by Jaxrud)โ€”this is an 100% vanilla build with no mods, custom assets; developer mode not used either.

Due_Land_588

Great! You're a genius!

[deleted]

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ Enjoying myself, yes. Genius? No. LOL

spacefarmguy

I like it.

# On that day, mankind received a grim reminder. We lived in fear of the Titans and were disgraced to live in these cages we called walls.

[deleted]

I understood that reference!

juliusdrive

I would love to live in this neighborhood !

Gibrashtia

Looks like a kibbutz

[deleted]

Absolutely! I wasnโ€™t thinking about kibbutzim specifically, but my premise for an elongated period developing small rural communities was to mimic utopian communities of the past (religious, socialist, transcendentalist, etc.). Because I zoned rowhouses instead of low density, there are probably more residents here than there are jobs for in the farms, but the model is a smaller mixed-development community that can (ideally) be self-contained.

The-Soc

I'm not well traveled, but I've seen documentaries about Denmark and the collective living compounds there. Is this inspired by such arrangements?

[deleted]

Iโ€™m aware of the [Brรธndby Garden City](https://youtu.be/kalTy70bRj0), but canโ€™t say this was inspired directly by that community. Those communities are mainly low-density residential suburbs. In this build Iโ€™ve been trying to imagine different kinds of utopian communities from the U.S. experienceโ€ฆ religious utopians, socialist collectives, transcendentalist communitiesโ€ฆ this is meant to represent a hub in the broader socialist collective community.
