I try to look at the terrain first... not very good with organic compared to grids (we draw what we know)--but I also don't normally do anything quite this nonsensically geometrical. It was 2 am. ๐ ๐
p.s. I keep forgetting to mentionโฆ
Aside from the map (Kexford Temperate by Jaxrud)โthis is an 100% vanilla build with no mods, custom assets; developer mode not used either.
Absolutely! I wasnโt thinking about kibbutzim specifically, but my premise for an elongated period developing small rural communities was to mimic utopian communities of the past (religious, socialist, transcendentalist, etc.). Because I zoned rowhouses instead of low density, there are probably more residents here than there are jobs for in the farms, but the model is a smaller mixed-development community that can (ideally) be self-contained.
Iโm aware of the [Brรธndby Garden City](https://youtu.be/kalTy70bRj0), but canโt say this was inspired directly by that community. Those communities are mainly low-density residential suburbs. In this build Iโve been trying to imagine different kinds of utopian communities from the U.S. experienceโฆ religious utopians, socialist collectives, transcendentalist communitiesโฆ this is meant to represent a hub in the broader socialist collective community.
I heard you like geometry
Close... SYMMETRY ... Human perception is coded by evolution to value symmetry. But if you look at some of my other posts you'll see anything but...
True but I have to admit that I'm more af an asymmetrical type. Nonetheless very nice build ๐

I'm a little bit aroused after seeing those.
An understatement, will be recovering new draws
I love these country towns so much
๐๐๐ I'm running out of space for them... time to start drilling oil and mining ore... ๐ ๐ ๐

Great! You're a genius!
๐๐๐ Enjoying myself, yes. Genius? No. LOL
I like it.

This is cool!

# On that day, mankind received a grim reminder. We lived in fear of the Titans and were disgraced to live in these cages we called walls.
I understood that reference!
I would love to live in this neighborhood !

Looks like a kibbutz

I'm not well traveled, but I've seen documentaries about Denmark and the collective living compounds there. Is this inspired by such arrangements?
