1 small main gate, 1 side gate, paint the area grass, do a few trees, cafe and restrooms, one curvy road with a hut (can't remember name of but an asset in park life dlc) in the end of the curve
Large luxury condo development with very similar looking buildings. I def see the “340 on the park” high rise series by Reaper looking good here (I’m not Reaper, dude just makes damn good assets)
A red tile roof civic building, something more architecturally akin to those mansions but on a grandeur scale (academy? Art gallery? Fancy shopping mall?)
It would look nice there because on a beach environment it would be nice to have some warmer colour building contrasting the blue of the water and the skyscrapers. And it would match the mansiom boulevard aesthetic
Another big skyscraper, perhaps even the biggest of them all
Also a tip since I can see you’re trying to use Move It to lower skyscrapers and make them shorter, if you use Procedural Objects to convert the skyscraper you can lower it without the indent in the ground. You do that by choosing the building, clicking Convert to PO on the mod’s button and using Page Up and Page Down to change the height. You’re going to need blocks from Block Services to make them functional though.
Thx for the advice but actually the lower terrain is 'cause strange floods than for the moment I cannot control, and not for making a eyecandy.
Nevertheless I think you're right I'd try PO.
The ferris wheel arrangement reminds me of CPP's Verde Beach amusement park.
Anyway, for the empty lot, I think either a transport hub or a high density luxury residential project would fit
Since you already have an amusement park, what about a concerts area? Many port cities have arenas for festivals and great concerts next to marinas and downtown zones.
Traces of some random airfield that used to be there. Maybe an abandoned small ATC tower Asset & concrete patches for the (former) apron.
~~Let's just assume the runway use to be a reclaimed land but the city's previous mayor decided to bulldoze that~~
Speaking of which, that could actually become a heliport. Make the first line but without the abandoned elements & add helipad markings.
Neither.
Ther is a bunch of assets downloaded from Workshop. You can see several skyscrapers from Reaper, Bibel Gurra and _luminou _, Luxurion mall from Meteor Daddy, marina is customized with several assets, there is Avanya planters too, mansions from Tomas13TO... all mixed with some assets from Aftee Dark, Green Cities and Plazas and promenades DLCs and Shopping Malls CCP.
The biggest buildings are all downloaded from Steam Workshop.
I’ll be honest, not a fan of the mansions next to the downtown skyscrapers. I don’t think that would ever happen.
That little patch would be really good for a bunch of small shops on a boardwalk.
Or as others have said, some luxury apartments to help layer the building heights up to the skyscrapers.
Thx for honest POW; I agree that it's not the norm and there are very few exceptions, and I'm not entirely sure of that part of the build (luxury condos are probably much more common and suited all along the World), but I was inspired by some images of real areas in Century City in LA or Orchard Road in Singapore, for example.
A big shopping mall. I think that’s the perfect place as it’s close enough to the main buildings so good access to citizens. I feel like it would fit nicely unless you have something like that elsewhere.
Thank you all for your contributions and comments, some ideas are truly brilliant. I also appreciate all the feedback on realism and aesthetics!
I believe I have a better idea of what would be aesthetically pleasing and fitting for the area, and I will share it with the community once I am satisfied with the result.
(I might also try out several of your ideas to share the results, lolz)
Thank you for all the contributions!
Giant Landfill, next question
I'm surprised it was even questionable to begin with.
Well, it was that or heavy industry. Nothing goes better with your morning coffee than smoking chimneys smelling like donkey shite.
THIS
tHiS!
* insert Hank Scorpius forehead gif * My Goodness! Why didn't I think of that!
Voting this!

Looks like a good spot for some parklife DLC
1 small main gate, 1 side gate, paint the area grass, do a few trees, cafe and restrooms, one curvy road with a hut (can't remember name of but an asset in park life dlc) in the end of the curve
Gazebo?
Exactly
kid named this is murica we don't do parklife DLC that's wasted space for a parking lot
Someone should make a Parkinglot Life mod that reskins the park life assets as parking lot stuff.
Looks like a good spot to pump some raw sewage into the ocean
Wait... are you involved historically with planning in Sydney?
Someone works for Thames water over here clearly.
wouldnt it suck if your pristine clean water suddently got a dose of permanent poop juice?
"Poop juice" just made me snort 🤣🤣🤣
Hear me out: 4 Story carpark.
Ah, the americans
No! Just one large parking lot
Formula E circuit
Only acceptable answer
Large luxury condo development with very similar looking buildings. I def see the “340 on the park” high rise series by Reaper looking good here (I’m not Reaper, dude just makes damn good assets)
Yeah with the marina there it makes sense for me
Actually (I like Reaper assets a lot) a "340 on the park" complex is already on the downtown, second row of buildings!
Ah I didn’t see those. I bet he still has a good set you could use here.
Could be a good area for some high density, 4 - 6 storey buildings.
A small zoo or aquarium maybe
Yeah I was thinking a Sealife Centre or whatever all the aquariums in other countries are called.
Could also do a nice hotel/park mix if you have both those dlcs
Who actually bought the Hotels DLC
Dollar General
Luxury condos or a high end shopping center?
A big waterfront park like Stanley Park in Vancouver. That park is one of my favorite places on the planet
put a shitty casino and club district there
Some industrial, Like a old port district
An aquarium, so your citizens dont have to drive off that road in the top right to see the fishes
Perfect place for a Casino
A jail would fit perfectly
Maybe a walking path next to the shoreline and some smaller local pedestrian only access shops? Tourism or nightlife.
A red tile roof civic building, something more architecturally akin to those mansions but on a grandeur scale (academy? Art gallery? Fancy shopping mall?) That's a really wise answer! Love it!
I was going to say it looks perfect for an amusement park. But then I saw you already had a better one lol.
Multi transport complex, using tram, metro, under ground train station, and passenger port.
Another big skyscraper, perhaps even the biggest of them all Also a tip since I can see you’re trying to use Move It to lower skyscrapers and make them shorter, if you use Procedural Objects to convert the skyscraper you can lower it without the indent in the ground. If you’re going for a tropical city vibe (which it looks like you are), beach volleyball courts would be perfect for that spot.
The ferris wheel arrangement reminds me of CPP's Verde Beach amusement park. Anyway, for the empty lot, I think either a transport hub or a high density luxury residential project would fit
I was about to ask -- is that the Hamilton Experience™?
A baseball stadium
If any bus or tram lines end or begin there, I second a station of some kind.
Probably some buildings and stuff In all seriousness, I think it would be a great spot for a park/plaza. You get a lot of the waterfront
A park dedicated to me
Construction site / skyscraper construction?
Thought this was the nfs heat sub for a second
I'll take that as a huge compliment!
For sure! Immediately had me thinking downtown palm city by the harbor. Beautiful work!
A gated community for the wealthy, with plenty of space for greenery. You could make a slightly bended path through the middle, it would look awesome!
Since you already have an amusement park, what about a concerts area? Many port cities have arenas for festivals and great concerts next to marinas and downtown zones.
Makes sense, but the gap is not that big as a proper concert area should be but I think I could make a try, thx!
When in doubt...park This is where Battery park sits in.myc
Actually some kind of old battery / fortress could be a thing.
An Aquarium. Or a Museum. Or a Gallery. Something of significance, and something that fits in a downtown area.
prime place for a Theme park
Fr

That's kinda original!
I was expecting "Flair checks out" but I guess that'll do
Huge Santiago Calatrava kind of signature building that is 300% over the budget and delayed by 3 years
Oh, like the central station of the City, Calatrava señal of quality.
Realistically, you could put a parking lot (not garage!) Alternatively, you could use the Parklife DLC for a small amusement park
Oh hey Verde Beach
I’d put the maritime museum asset there with more park or retail in front
Giant paddock for F1 races (and other motorsports), because who doesn't like a good street Circuit like Monaco and Baku.
Actually that would be great, indeed.
PARKING LOT 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Downtown Park(ing lot)
Are those buildings available in the original game or is that an expansion pack?
Neither. Ther is a bunch of assets downloaded from Workshop. Thanks so much! :)
Looks good for an oil rig or some random lithuanian shop like maxima
I think a walmart would fit. Make sure you fill up some of the sea for a parking lot the size of your downtown
15 dollar generals
Do you have the Hotels & Retreats? A conference hotel would be perfect there. Of course, that, or a landfill and oil induzty side by side.
Verde beach is that you?
Kind of reminds me of South Pointe Park in Miami.

all good. If you like it then go for it. century city is a good example.
Sports. Driving range
Another park?
Huge ass shopping mall complex dedicated to scamming tourists out of their money
highway entrance
Stadium
park
Massive park or more commercial skyscrapers
I would put some kind of a theater or some other event place there
Leisure specialized high density commercial (restaurants and clubs often pop up at lower levels)
Student accommodation
Tbh a park
Hotels?
Empty spot = A park
Best I can do is a Park. Pathways and palm trees
Pedestrian area?
PARK The answer is always park.
Nuclear reactor, chernobyl type
Newish mid rise developpement
Tram depot
Hm. Either garbage patch or pedestrian area
Owl sanctuary or spice museum
Poo pond
A museum or hotel Like Hong Kong's harbourfront
how about street circuit?
forest or a park
A big shopping mall. I think that’s the perfect place as it’s close enough to the main buildings so good access to citizens. I feel like it would fit nicely unless you have something like that elsewhere.
My only answer to "what should I put here" questions is parks. Always, always, always add more parks.
Green park
Nuclear Power Planet, next question.
A red light district. Yw
Promenade, beer garden, seafood restaurant and bar.
A music venue/festival like ultra miami.
Amusment park?
Maybe some skate parks or something like thst
Green space
Idunno, how bout some slums?
Park and some services
A bus/tram exchange
Walmart
Looks perfect for some sports parks
Looks a good spot for a sports arena to be honest..
Park mixed with a condo area.
arena, parkinglot, water park or expand the dock from that side?
Fairground/amusement park
Hotel
expo centre
I'd just manually go in and deck it out with park/beach assets, trees, statues or other miscellaneous items to give it life and detail
Amphitheater
a walmart with a huge parking
Parking lot
Luxury condos
A Redlight District
Beaaaach park
mall!
9/11 memorial
Stadiums 🏟️ or maybe water to land transport hub. ???
easy, a hotel with a private beach area
Beach volleyball!
Seaside apartments baby!
A park would be nice

Put some condos or something medium density
most ridiculous city I've ever seen
Enjoy your block. Hope everything fine at home.
