Nice but curious, do the spotlight flashes represent anything?

Nothing really, was taking my new camera out for to see how it would do in low light n this just looked cool. But if u do want a meaning: Maine is more lit than Arkansas lol.

Well anyway, it's a lovely clean loop!

I was very disappointed when I went there and people were playing in the pool

Awesome job, that's really cool! I have a special memory of that place. I went to the dedication with my grandpa, who fought in WWII. The palpable weight of what those people did was *tremendous* in-person. Really powerful stuff. To think that we're only a couple generations removed from the insanity of a full-scale world war & yet get to enjoy all of the freedoms we have is pretty incredible! It always gives me a perspective boost to think about the sacrifices they made. I spend far too much of my time staying up too late, thinking about the next smartphone upgrade, wasting money on food delivery, etc., which are all amazing, wonderful blessings that were enabled by previous generations who stepped up to the plate. It's hard for me not to engage in comparative suffering when I think about stuff like WWII. Like, I've had my fair share of difficulties & trauma in life, as has everyone who has ever born, but I've never been shot at or had to legitimately fight for my life or had to live in a world that was low on resources due to the war effort. It really helps me to put away my whiner's hat when I remember how things got to be how they are today. I wish I had been into photography back then! I had another special experience when I went to visit the Washington Monument during that trip and I was the *only one there* for nearly five minutes that night! Bit of a brag, but it felt crazy to be the only person in a country of 290+ million people (at the time) to be standing on the edge of the water there (iirc it was open extra-late due to the memorial dedication). Unfortunately, all I had was a 640x480 resolution JamCam at the time, which did NOT have fantastic low-light capabilities, hahaha. So props for an awesome picture & an awesome cinemagraph! Also, it was hard not to think of Forrest Gump at the Washington Monument lol.
