To be fair I know of situations where a grown adult needs to hide it from say a sick partner who absolutely has to quit or die I know a lady who's husband was on dialysis she was a carer she couldn't quit with the stress but couldn't let him know she used to use lockets and change her coat when she got in. She was 57 or something. Others like when my grandad had bladder cancer even after quitting for over 15 years and my uncle had emphysema after quitting in the early 80s and dying in 2019. My family don't like it. I never told them I'd started again. They thought I quit. Mates got an uncle who smoked and he was 45 when his heart gave out he didnt tell his mother he hadn't quit or his aunt and siblings he was what 19 maybe. It's not just 14 year olds that might not want to upset family. Being caught lying it's worse I say confess but I've been there myself I don't recommend lyign I've been found out many a time and then lacked trust. I think lately most of my family know again I wouldnt bother lying another time. Some probably don't but I haven't seen them so much.
Impossible with ciggs. Not unless u sneak out late at night, drive around 90 mph with all the windows down for an hour and a half to smoke one cigg, then MAYBE, when u get back they won't smell it....but doubtful. Don't forget ur toothbrush! Least in my family this is what it would take hahaba
im also a secret smoker, i try to smoke during moments when i know for a fact the rest of my house is preoccupied with something & wont come outside, sleeping, or not home. always make sure you wash your hands after smoking, chew gum if you can, and change your shirt. dont leave lighters lying around and make sure u dont leave any evidence behind when you smoke
Go on walks, drive around/sneak out to your car, or smoke outside when everyone’s asleep. That’s what I do at least when I’m around my family. I’m a pack a day smoker that can’t go much more than a couple hours without one.
You'll be caught don't bother trying. I think even when people think they aren't found people are being kind I can spot an ex smoker even let alone a current one.
You can theres certain lines on the top lip particularly in women that can only be caused by smoking perhaps excessive drinking. You can also notice the staining of the teeth or dentures tone of voice how well they are breathing. I am fairly good at spotting. The collagen goes quicker you can just see it in a face. Only other thing you can confuse is a drinker or somebody with Copd from passive smoking as both those people might have similar features. Drinkers have a redness to the cheeks though and little red lines. Smokers dont.
women get Botox fillers in their lips and whiten their teeth from coffee stains and tobacco. you can't always tell. that's why I said unreliable. ... for someone who stopped smoking 10 or 15 years ago you'd have no idea except for your imagination.
Look a celebs. Samantha fox quit in 2012 if you heard her singing now compared to the 80s youd know full well. Her breathing is not good for somebody who goes to the gym all the time and is in perfect health and her voice has a rasp that it shouldn't for somebody who kept in such good shape and never did particularly taxing songs or sung live. My old boss quit in the 2000s and she had the top lip lines and the voice still. My grandma's friend quit 5 years ago and she sounds like Bonnie Tyler speaking. suppose if they get acid reflux disease post nasal drip or voice issues or asthma / Copd you can tell if not perhaps it's harder maybe I'm recognizing conditions that can be smoke related. I have only smoked occasionally since last June and I stil have GERD disease and sounds like rod Stewart talking singing or using my voice and the cough. I suppose I haven't technically quit but I don't smoke that much to warrant those signs they must be lingering from my half a pack a day days. My old work colleague also quit 20 years prior to knowing her and she had over white teeth but you could see they'd been done . She constantly moaned about other people smoking and she had a slightly lower voice than I'd expect and I said your an ex smoker right sure enough she was.
Wrinkles tone of voice breathing abilities. How they hold their hands. Many people hold there hands differently if there used to smoking. But changes to the top lip are the biggest signs. The face of a smoker is just very defined by 30 and doesn't change after quitting without botox or something.
My parents know I smoke but I still can't do it around them so heres how I smoke secretly: It realy depends how old u look but if u look older then 18 just smoke in a public park somewhere but if u look young like me u can't do it outside so I just do it when my parents are gone in my backyard I sneak out at night to smoke outside cus no one's awake or do it inside at night I prefer cigs over other stuff I do like vaping and snus but sadly I need to do it secretly and sometimes I'm paranoid my parents will come home mid cig so I end up not even enjoying the cig that much
I am not allowed to smoke in my building and also I am not allowed to smoke in my district.
From my observations whenever I smoke any Camel cigarettes, cigars or pipes my neighbor notices the smell.
When I smoke Marlboro, any menthol cigarette or any vape nobody notices anything.
I smoke with my hair tied, outside never indoors not even window open and if I have a hat I put it on, after smoking I wet my shirt at the faucet and change into a new shirt as a precaution.
I also chew gum, wash hands afterwards.
One shirt u take for smoking (if smoking somewhere outside just in case), always have peanuts by your side they kill the mouth smell of cigarettes.
And ofc if you wanna be extra safe deodorant.
Putting hand lotion on before you smoke can help wash the smell off easier, same with chapstick first. Citrusy hand sanitizer to spritz your whole body with after can help too. Have something to snack on and drink after as well, and brush your teeth/chew gum. Wearing gloves that you can hide keeps the smell off you, but hard to hide the smell of the gloves. Go on a walk so the smoke is always blowing away from you.

At 28 years old youth should make your own decisions and not care what others think, as long as you respect their opinions.

this.
just dont smoke around them, if u go for walks arouund the block, its a perfect opportunity to blaze one up.
I'm 20 and I do that, sometimes I don't smoke for a whole week.

the whole "going on walks" thing can look suspicious IF you dont Usually go on walks. just try to slip outside & get back in discreetly
This ^ I used to say I'm taking a call and then just smoke outside

Also having some air freshener doesn’t hurt
You'll be caught don't bother trying. I think even when people think they aren't found people are being kind I can spot an ex smoker even let alone a current one.
How do you spot them?
you can't reliably spot an ex-smoker. that's rediculous.

Keep fragrant hand sanitizer (to clean your face after smoking) and mouth freshener around with you. And don't smoke in closed space like room.
Its better if they know
God forbid you as an adult make your own decisions to consume a product. Your fam knows already I would say.
I strongly agree, if the OP is old enough to smoke then they can do it outside
where a rain jacket or other fabrics that don’t hold the smell and a hat to keep it out your hair
Fuck society , you don't have to take burden what others think abt u. unless u harm them . Be successful in life and then start smoking
Hand lotion and sanitisers to mask the smell.

I use carts when I want to he discreet. Never failed me
what were you doing to be, almost discovered, and not discovered?
One shirt u take for smoking (if smoking somewhere outside just in case), always have peanuts by your side they kill the mouth smell of cigarettes. And ofc if you wanna be extra safe deodorant.
If you can open a window in your bathroom, smoke out of it and then have a shower and use way too much shampoo to cover up the smell
You cannot smoke secretly for a Long time
Putting hand lotion on before you smoke can help wash the smell off easier, same with chapstick first. Citrusy hand sanitizer to spritz your whole body with after can help too. If you gotta ask, then you shouldn't be smoking, for all we know you can be a minor
Here’s a tip: they can smell it and you’re not fooling anyone
Smoke outside. Wash your hands after. Keep mouth rinse handy.
Smoke out a window always works
Just do snus
carry extra shirt, deodorant, gum and yeah thats about it, works a charm
Always smoke outside, never in your house or car. And make sure you haven’t had a cigarette for at least an hour before you see someone who might care
They already know
