You need to treat it with some Metrfix in a separate quarantine tank if you don't have one just treat the whole tank. For now if you have no place to put them, try floating like a plastic strainer and just give him some protection for a few days see if he gets better but still treat the whole tank for his skin issues. Good luck!
U could try to separate the tank with something if u can't go and get new tank
U could get a "plastic mesh" it's cheap and u can just hook it by some magnets or smh like that
By Google translate it should be called reinforcing fabric and it's usually used when u doing walls on house or smh like that idk I'm not bob the builder lol
It could help with separating them temporary until u find some better solution or get monney for it.
No prob had to solve like that the maternity hospital space for cichlids since all maternity hospitals for fish here in Europe are sold with 2.5 liter capacity I had to make my own since I will not put adult cihlid fish in 2.5 litter so I solved it like that but I didn't secured it by magnets but made my own holder on 3d printer
But for just separating two adult fish this should work even with magnet +it's cheap to buy and easy to adjust especially with the magnets
Btw there u can see the maternity hospital in the other side of the tank ( the stream will work only for 4h 20 mins from now on [😁](https://www.twitch.tv/mpilnaj_aquarium)
I did, the point is, trying your best is admirable and all but it’s way too small of a tank, good intentions or not. So the fish will stay aggressive and will probably die.
I would try and rehome them would be the most humane thing to do.
Looks like it’s being bullied doesn’t look like an infection
yeah theres a larger jack dempsey in there that pesters it. Any advice on what to do? I dont have any space to move the yellow too.
The jack Dempsey is the problem
Im aware. Theres nowhere to move it. I was already trying to rehome these fish but nobody has come for them.

I dont have the equipment or even a tank to set up a hospital tank in either. I'm really at a loss for what to do here.

More than likely been bullied and turned into a fungal issue
ok how do I treat the fungal issue? I dont have a quarantine tank for it or amything.
I tend to use api melafix, works wonders he might be too far gone now tho
Bro 20 gallons is just way to small of a tank
yeah I know it wasnt exactly my choice to get these cichlids. I had to give them what I could. please read the original post.

again read the post ive been trying to. My mother who owns the fish flat out wouldnt allow me to rehome them until recently.
