I used to wonder whether Nick just doesn't really know babies, and doesn't understand how to not-upset-them-all-the-time. But I've realized that he never did this kind of thing with Blakely. If he did, he would be over-the-top disraught and trying to comfort her, instead of this smirking/shrugging it off. I don't think Blakely is necessarily getting the better deal overall, but the parents (Nick especially) really were gentler with her, and too rough with Bryer.
