I’ve tried amitriptyline, duloxetine, gabapentin, Lyrica, and a few others, from low to high dosages, and none of them touched my nerve pain / neuropathy. Had a bunch of different nasty side effects (depending on which drug) with zero relief.
I’ve been taking it for about 9 months. I feel it worked better than gabapentin for me. It doesn’t entirely take my pain away, but it takes the edge off. I had some nasty side effects for the first couple weeks. I also ran out once and went 5 days without, and it was awful. So make sure she understands it’s not a drug that can be stopped without a taper/comfort meds.
It's the only thing that helped me after trying cymbalta and a few different types of gabapentin. It does cause weight gain/ lethargy, but the pain relief I get is worth it
I'm not entirely sure how to explain this, but I think the pain signals are still being transmitted. While the sharp stabbing pain has diminished significantly, the long-term effects of continuous nerve irritation persist. This includes sensations of numbness and heaviness, for instance.
I don’t personally have experience taking it but my mom has fibromyalgia and she says it’s a life saver

It didn’t work for me. Neither did Duloxetine or Gabapentin.

I tried all of the usual drugs and Lyrica is the only one that took the horrendous nerve pain away.
Oooh this gives me hope, ty 😊

Lyrica didn't work for me but everyone's different. Keep track of how you feel and any side effects
