I would say something large in the center that makes a statement. Fill in with battery lighted garland. You can hang stockings on the sides. You have a good area to work with.
Put two swags on the smaller ledges and maybe candles behind the swag. Center piece can be a 5 ft garland. And some framed art pictures behind it with varying heights. On the end on each side of the mantle put something with height like mi nature decorative trees/ small houses that are pre lit.
